Modern amenities like highspeed WiFi, smart tv, security systems, AC/ heating, toaster oven etc. Perfect for a cozy getaway, this enchanting retreat offers a peaceful escape for guests looking to unwind. We look forward to welcoming you to our place. 10 minutes from the Smoky Mountain railway in Bryson and about 20 minutes to Cherokee, an hour to Gatlinburg.

The house was a perfect size for 3 adults and a medium sized dog. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom. The second bedroom is located right next to the other bathroom. The living room is open to the dining area. Beautiful fireplace in the living room. It was quiet and secluded, yet within a few minutes' drive to Bryson City. The host was very responsive. We all agreed we would stay in this cabin again.

We enjoyed our stay. The floor plan of the house was very nice. Each of the two bedrooms had their own bathroom, which was helpful. We also appreciated being able to do laundry. It was in a secluded area with a nice walking trail on the property.

We loved the house! It was well maintained considering how far off the beaten path it was. The kids loved playing around the property and we enjoyed being able to get cozy by fire place watching Xmas movies at night. The town is super charming and the owner was kind and gave us the rundown on the area. We had what we needed and we definitely enjoyed our stay!

Awesome little hide away. Way, WAY off the main path and its just wonderful. Want to be tucked away in a mountain holler, this is it. Wooded paradise. Was an awesome spot in which we hope to return

This is a beautiful property to spend some time in. We loved the layout giving privacy to both bedrooms and being convenient for both. Our very favorite was being able to sit and watch the beautiful hummingbirds that were plenteous with a front row seat. Getting ready to make their flight for the winter. We would definitely stay there again.

Our host was extremely attentive to all our questions. His response was absolutely more than we could have ever asked for. The cabin was decorated beautifully!! Extremely well maintained and up to date. The cabin was exactly as described and immaculately clean inside. With the approval of our host, my husband and I would love to return to this cabin and it’s unique closeness to so many beautiful sightseeing attractions. Thank you

Perfectly serene

This home is tucked way at the end of a dirt rd. I was very impressed with how clean and beautiful this place was. The owner allows dogs which was awesome. 10/10 recommend!!

Leisurely retreat

Nestled among the mountain on Kirklands rd this home was a great place to stay. The surrounding creek was its main point of our stay. Every morning we were transformed into nature while listening to the rippling waters, as we enjoyed our coffee. Very clean, spacious and dog friendly. Only bad point I had, was the Wi-Fi went out many times during cloud coverage and afternoon storms. You want serenity, then this is your place.

Great Property

Love the house it was excellent with privacy but the property is beginning to get overgrown so it was hard to enjoy being outside, just needs some attention. The owner seemed very nice and communicative. All messages to him were answered promptly.

Great Location

Had a great stay. I will start this review by saying I do not stay solely at the house when I am in the mountains on vacation. If your looking for the Ritz this is not that. So don't expect that when you book it. If you like to explore the area and have a clean and comfortable place to return to this IS the place. The front porch is great. We got to watch hummingbirds come right up to the feeders about 3 feet away from us. It is close to Bryson City and other attractions. The owner is easy to deal with and very responsive to any questions you would have. I will definitely book again.

We found the conditions of the property to be poor when we arrived - conditions did not match the reviews or the website description. The master bedroom sheets had what appeared to be dog hair on them. The shower curtain in the master bath was splattered with blood. The window lock in the master bath would not latch/catch. There was no way to “rig” the window shut because the bottom pane rose open and the top pane lowered. The window was on ground level leaving the unit unsafe and open to intruders. There was mold around the trim over the sink in the kitchen. The sofa had a towel over a cushion, covering a stain. The second bedroom and living room windows were fogged over from moisture between the panes to the point you couldn’t see out. A closet door was not attached to the hardware leaning against the clothes rack in the closet. A window pane on the front of the home was broken. The window led to an area inside the home that was locked and marked “no trespassing” We did not unload any of our belongings. We were on property all of an hour and 1/2 - the time it took us to call and make other last minute accommodations. We notified the owner immediately letting him know we did not disturb anything, and left the keys in the lock box. We also contacted Vrbo customer service. We provided pictures of proof to Vrbo. The host denied receipt of pictures - forwarded to him by Vrbo customer service. The host provided 50% refund for an hour & 1/2 stay.

We would NEVER stay here again! Here's some comments: The access to the property was poorly maintained, washed out, rugged, and very narrow gravel. We had to move debris to get to the property. We found the property overgrown with very large weed growth, so the yard and outdoor areas were not safely unusable. There was an extremely large weed overhanging the front steps (about 8 foot tall or so) making the left side of steps impassable. There was a broken window on the front. There was some kind of wildlife droppings on the porch at the front doormat. As we opened the front door we immediately noticed a heavy smoke odor. We tried to contact the owner, but found that the WiFi and Internet did NOT work. We were barely able to call the owner by phone because cell service is almost nothing, but he was not at all accommodating or cordial. He said we could leave and go somewhere else, but he would only give us HALF a refund if we left. He said someone was coming to check modem, the Contractor arrived but was NOT able to fix the WiFi / Internet due to a bad install not the modem. We found spoiled milk, old eggs, outdated condiments in the refrigerator and outdated snacks on the counter (as much as a year plus outdated). There's no window coverings, except in the bedrooms, NOT even the main bathroom. The floors were swept, but dirty. We contacted Vrbo, but they weren't much help. We finally got a 150 refund from Vrbo after 4 hours of many conversations and pictures.

Sometimes you get people you just can’t make happy. It’s always a concern when you get a complaint at check in. I think they complained about 5 things, more like a rant. The only one valid was the wifi was down and being worked on during their arrival, bummer but the problem was out of my hands. I live on forested land, they complained about wild flowers and herbs that grow native on the land. They complained about smoke but could not tell me if it was fireworks (July 2nd) cigarette or fireplace smell. The cleaning crew agreed there was not a smoke smell before they got there or after they left. They complained about condiments in the fridge, they complained about driving on a gravel road less than a mile to get to the house which is a fine, regular 2 wheel drive cars have no issue. After the 5th complaint I mentioned maybe they should go somewhere else if they were unhappy but of course it was money they wanted. So I compt them more than a reasonable amount for the wifi being out. I have great reviews but some people you just can’t make happy. It felt more like I was being “shaken down” for $. I would not rent and would warn against renting to this couple.

My backyard backs up to the back of the Cherokee nation. The quietness and silence is really quite therapeutic.
