Excellent place for a relaxing getaway. Beautiful property and very inviting. Extremely well stocked with miscellaneous needs. Great communication with host. Loved having the private beach access.

What an amazing home! Stayed here with family and friends for my daughter’s wedding at Blue Dress Barn. From the views, the beach, hot tub, to the comfy beds, coffee bar, landscaping….it was just great! Even with the rain, it was nice to slow down a bit with a very busy weekend! Don’t hesitate on staying here!

Beautiful home and incredible view!! Our family loved hanging out on the private beach during the day and playing games in the evenings while watching the breathtaking sunsets!! St Joseph was a quick drive for shopping, restaurants/take-out and even some line dancing. The home was well stocked with everything we needed including a fun and delicious welcome basket. We look forward to returning!!

My family loved our stay at the Blue Heron! Plenty of room for guests, a great kids room, lots of games and toys (the whole family loved the ping pong), beautiful private beach, and relaxing hot tub. The house was clean and well maintained. The communication was great, too. We can’t wait to come back!

Lake Michigan at Blue Heron

We have come to Lake Michigan as a family for a week in summer eight times in all. The Blue Heron is the only house we have put on Repeat. It is perfect. My two favorite features are 1) the large deck overlooking Lake Michigan from which every night there is a sunset worthy of an Impressionist painting, and 2) the sturdiest set of stairs down to the beach that anyone could possibly hope for. The stairs has a railing on both sides, vertical slats that make it impossible for a small child to fall through, and landings with benches to rest (it's a long way). The host is always available and accommodating. We look forward to more Repeats!

The house was wonderful, the inside was clean and spacious. There was a number of amenities that were provided by the host; bathroom towels, beach towels, bath products, a number of utensils and cookware, coffees, teas, games to name a few things. The host was very easy to get ahold of and the very minor things that came up during our stay were resolved very quickly. There are a few stairs to get down to the beach, we enjoyed counting them, but there are benches and landings all the way up to rest if needed. I highly recommend this property and we can’t wait to come back

End of summer getaway to paradise!

The Blue Heron absolutely surpassed our expectations! Our family of four traveled with another family of four, and no one wanted to leave the property for the duration of our stay (kids included)! We were greeted with a lovely welcome gift, and immediately noticed the stunning views! The beach is beautiful, and the privacy provides such a serene, peaceful atmosphere. Having two master suites was so convenient! The beds are very comfortable, and the hot tub is the perfect way to unwind at the end of a long day, or start the day with coffee and a gorgeous sunrise over the water. The kitchen is well-stocked and spacious, and we enjoyed the ease of cooking meals together without feeling like we were constantly in each other's way or on top of one another. The beach towels sand toys provided for the kids were much appreciated, as well as the firewood for a lovely beach bonfire in the evenings. We were able to get to restaurants and stores, if needed, within 10 minutes or less, but honestly we didn't leave the property often. We would definitely return in the future!

Amazingly attentive host and home supplied with everything and anything you would want plus. The floor plan is perfect for families with kids and the yards are beautifully planted. It’s a long climb down and up to the beach but worth it.
