Weekend in the Drip

Great house! My family enjoyed the pool and how spacious the house was. Close to lots of fun things to do in Dripping Springs. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Easy to get in and out. I would definitely stay here again.

We visited TX to see our grandkids and had an amazing time. We were pleasantly surprised by walk in shower with multiple heads and temperature gage..THIS WAS AWESOME...we were also surprised by the Bidet...never used one before and it was a good experience ... surprisingly...lolThe sofa and living room were so comfortable and relaxing and the kitchen was stocked.I was surprised there was no sugar...but maybe there was and I just never saw it...the kitchen had tea and coffee options which was also very nice. The main bedroom is the only bed we used and I think the bed would have been more comfortable with a boxspring...I often rolled into the middle of the bed..but the mattress was perfect. The outside pool was exactly what we wanted with a perfect grill set up...sitting area under fans in the Tx heat was a bonus as well...and the night lights around the pool for night swimming made swimming alluring at anytime of day.We truly enjoyed our stay and have already talked about how much we miss this house bc of its comfortability. We would definitely rebook a stay here.

Mostly pleasant

The house was clean, most of the amenities were functional. Was never given an adequate answer on why the pool light did not work or where the switch was. Kitchen sink nozzle had a major leak and when we attempted to use one of the cutting boards it looked less than sanitary.

Austin neighborhood

The property has some great qualities. Nice pool, neighborhood seems nice, inside remodel is good, kitchen is well stocked and a good amount of space in the home. Bathroom amenities also appreciated. Sitting out by the pool was lovely. Items that could be better-not enough towels(not one pool towel for the pool!), house could have been cleaner, the outside could use some TLC. A nice pool, but wasn’t clean after lawn service came through. Pool house is a fright.

Had to ask for check in and check out instructions because they were not delivered. Code that was sent also didnt work so had to call the host to figure it out. Small things but weren’t major issues. Other than these small inconveniences, it was overall a decent spot and had good amenities for a big group. Hence, 4 stars

The place was good overall, however there were a few issues. There was no communication about the placement of keys for the main bathroom and pool storage. The lights in the living room space strobe when you use the microwave, so you had to dim the lights quite far, while using the microwave. The lights in the seating area outside don't work. This wasn't communicated and we didn't find out till two days after inquiring. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The pool was fantastic for cooling down.

DO NOT BOOK – Unsafe, filthy, and misrepresented. We left immediately.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a vacation rental. The property was so dirty and poorly maintained that we couldn’t stay even one night. The pool was a cloudy green mess with visible algae and a harsh chemical odor that made it completely unsafe. The grill was thick with old grease and char. Furniture was filthy, dead plants were everywhere, and there were spider webs hanging from light fixtures inside. There was moldy junk in outdoor storage bins, dust-covered vents and switches, and trash in plain sight. It looked like this place hadn’t been cleaned or maintained in weeks, possibly months. We reported everything immediately and were told the issue would be escalated to the VRBO Health and Safety team. No one ever followed up. And here’s the kicker, VRBO confirmed to me directly that another family had already complained about the same exact issues at this same property. They rented it again anyway. Let that sink in.We were forced to scramble for three hotel rooms at our own expense. The host refused a refund. VRBO has so far refused to make it right. Absolute disaster from start to finish.Avoid this property at all costs. And be very cautious with any property managed by this host.
Algae filled. Then murky green w/heavy chlorine smell
Distressed property for sure
Outdoor table that hasn’t been cleaned in months
Have to clean the sink to use it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and completely understand how upsetting it must have felt. Your stay occurred during a period of extremely heavy rains, which directly affected the pool water and caused the temporary discoloration you saw on arrival. We had our pool technicians on site daily until the pool returned to perfect condition, and it continues to be regularly serviced and professionally maintained. You left shortly after check in, which unfortunately did not give us the opportunity to address any of the concerns you mentioned. Had we been able to enter the property, we would have immediately inspected everything and corrected anything that needed attention. We can assure future guests that the home does not reflect the condition described in this review. The property has been thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and maintained, and is in great condition for upcoming stays. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we remain committed to providing a clean, safe, and comfortable experience for every guest.
