The hand soap was half water. The laundry soap was downy with 80% water to wash the towels. The check in office was hard to find.

I am sorry we did not live up to your expectations. The office is right off the parking lot. The system is suppose to send detailed directions. Was that not done? This is the first we are hearing that the office was hard to find. Regarding the laundry detergent, you are not in any way required to wash the towels in the unit and we do not provide laundry detergent so that must have been left from a previous guest. New towels are offered at the office upon request for exchange.

Great place located near everything in Big Bear Lake. The townhouse has rustic ski cabin charm and was perfect for our family. You can walk to Snow Summit if biking or skiing. Check in and out was smooth and easy. The townhouse has been there for a while which you can tell by the pictures, although not being renovated recently the place was clean and no issues with anything working properly or access to anything we needed. I would book again. Sit down arcade cabinet was great bonus for the kiddos.

Loved the proximity to the Snow Summit Ski Resort. We were able to come back for lunch and then hit the slopes in the afternoon with a lovely break. Highly recommend if you plan on visiting the Snow Summit Ski Resort!

The area is pretty and location close to ski resort so convenient. Weather was hot and needed windows open to cool down but screens were ripped or poor fitting and at night the heater wanted to keep kicking on despite thermostat settings. Could not be in the unit during day it was so hot inside. One of the 2 hinges on bedroom door and hanging by only one screw which fell out during our stay. For the money the place is not in great repair and would not advise it on a hot weekend.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here several days and loved the location, amenities and service. We picked this unit because of the hot tub, and although there was an initial issue, the hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. They took care of the issue immediately, and we were able to enjoy everything the unit has to offer. The location to the slopes was of course excellent.

If I would have known that there were regular residents in this complex I would have never rented it out. Photos did make the place look better than in person. Not so bad but not for me.

I am not sure what you mean by "regular residents" as this complex of 85 individual townhouses on a 3 acre property only has 4 full time residences but perhaps there was some misunderstanding. Regarding the pictures, we do our best to make sure the pictures are accurate. We have many different townhouses here, all individually owned and all different on the inside. If the one was not to your likeing, we have many others to choose from. Again, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay here at the base of Snow Summit.

This is a 2 story apartment. They all all attached. Very loud. I dont like noise. Bed rooms are all down stairs. Living room and kitchen upstairs. Beds are OK. Nice hiking trail right at buildings. And ski resort is attached to these apartments. I dont and would never live in an apartment. So not use to that type of environment. Where you can hear people all around you. Late at night wee were enjoying ourselves relaxing upstairs when we heard the front door open..some got in to our apartment. It was very scary that they had the key to our place. I had a hard time relaxing after this happened. They really need an extra lock for the door that cant be opened with the main key.

We are truly sorry you did not have a wonderful experience. These are townhomes, not apartments for clarification. They are all two story and, yes, they are attached. However, noise that can be heard after 10:00 p.m by neighbors is prohibited. This was explained on the form you signed when you checked in. Had you contacted the night manager on site, they would have immediately come out and shut down any noise to help. I am sorry neighbors caused this problem for you. It is why we have the rules both from our HOA and from the City of Big Bear Lake. Regarding a late night walk in, the only explaination for this is that the door was unlocked. The only other people with a key was the night manager and when I contacted her regarding this issue, she confirmed she did not go out at all that weekend and had no night complaints. I know this is true as she is 82 years old and calls me personally for any night issues and did not call me. My guess is that the door was unlocked (it has both a door knob lock and a dead bolt) and someone mistook your unit for a neighbors one. Since you didn't state that you didn't see the person or that they moved around in your unit, they probably immediately noticed it was the wrong unit and left. I can assure you that the only keys to the door knob lock and dead bolt were with you with one extra in the office in case of emergency. Regarding an extra inside lock, the City of Big Bear Lake, by ordinance, prohibits those. I am sorry.
