My mom and I booked the Geodome for three nights and were excited for a relaxing glamping experience based on the photos and reviews. Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to expectations. The property is beautiful but poorly maintained. There was trash and outdoor furniture in the bushes, exposed and torn outdoor lining, a completely rusted and unusable BBQ grill, and numerous holes in the “screened” patio. The biggest issue was cleanliness inside the Geodome. The sheets had visible dirt and hair and clearly did not appear to have been changed. Thankfully, we brought our own. Spider webs covered the interior, the fans were filthy, and some advertised essentials were missing. The porta potty was also in poor condition and had an unsettling smell that lingered toward the fire pit. We ended up using the much cleaner one at the vacant cabin next door. We understand that glamping is still camping, but we expected basic cleanliness and maintenance.Although it initially took some time to reach Paul, he was responsive for the rest of our stay and tried to address our concerns. The positives were reliable power, good Wi-Fi, and the beautiful creek. The swimming hole and small waterfall just off the parking lot were the highlight of our trip.Sadly, the property’s cleanliness and current condition made it impossible to give our stay a positive rating. With proper cleaning and maintenance, this could be a wonderful glamping experience, but we can't recommend in current condition.
