Just to clarify for future guests: the free parking space we provide is on the other side of the building from the public garage, and it offers direct elevator access without the need for an access code. We appreciate all guest feedback, but unfortunately, much of this review is inaccurate and does not reflect the actual events. The guest arrived 20 minutes prior to the standard check-in time. Our housekeeping team, still preparing the unit, informed the guest it would be ready within 10 minutes—well before the scheduled check-in. During that interaction, the parking pass was provided, along with clear verbal instructions for accessing the correct garage. Despite both the written and verbal directions, the guest entered the wrong garage. Minutes after reaching out, we explained the mistake and let them know that if they exited within 30 minutes and re-parked in the correct garage, there would be no charge. On the night in question, the guest returned after 2 AM visibly impaired (as confirmed by Ring footage) and repeatedly entered the wrong code until the lock required a reset. Rather than allowing the system to cycle or contacting us or VRBO support, the guest attempted to force entry. This resulted in significant damage to the door, including a torn-off handle and misaligned lock—along with damage to our Ring doorbell camera, which was rendered completely inoperable, totaling $616 in damage. At no point were we contacted directly about being locked out. Had we been informed, we would have addressed the issue immediately. We maintain extensive documentation, including Ring footage and time-stamped communication, to support the above facts.
