While slope grooming is handled by the resort and not directly by us, your comment is very helpful. We’ll pass this along to the mountain team and also take a fresh look at how we describe the ski access so expectations are clearer when grooming or snow conditions make the route more of a trek. We really appreciate you calling out both the positives and the one area that could have been better. We completely understand how frustrating it would be to wake up to workers nearby and have that impact the use and enjoyment of the outdoor space during your visit. That is certainly not the relaxing experience we want for any guest. We do want to clarify that Boyne Mountain Resort manages the surrounding properties, exterior areas, grounds, and resort maintenance schedules. Northern Michigan Escapes does not control resort-managed staining projects, exterior work, contractor timing, or the resort’s common-area maintenance decisions. While we understand your frustration, a refund request tied to resort-managed work is not something an individual property manager has authority over. That said, we are sorry your family felt inconvenienced during a trip to a place you have enjoyed for so many years. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we will continue to communicate guest concerns to the appropriate resort contacts whenever exterior work impacts a stay.
