Congratulations to your daughter and nephew on their graduations — what a wonderful way to celebrate such a special milestone! We are so thrilled that the property was able to bring all 11 of you together comfortably and that those spectacular mountain views made the trip even more memorable. Durango really is such a magical backdrop for a celebration like this. It means so much to hear that it felt like a home away from home — that is exactly what we hope every guest experiences. Beautiful View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is located at the top of a ridge with beautiful views behind the house of the mountains. Sunrise and sunset were gorgeous. The location is secluded and shares a gated entryway with a few other houses. Enjoyed our stay however upstairs beds could use new memory foam toppers as they are very firm and were not to our liking. Also note if you have allergies to down you should alert the rental office as bedding comforters and some pillows are down filled. Management company was great to work with and overall it was a great stay.

The home was clean and nicely appointed. The views from the home were stunning. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and having coffee on the back porch. We did feel misled about the "35 acres" the home sits on. The property's acreage is mostly inaccessible land straight down the side of a mountain. Note: to reach the property you have to travel on a very rough and very dusty gravel road for a 1 1/2 miles. We probably would have selected another rental if we had know this based on the type of vehicle we were driving. Overall, our stay was very good. The property management was easy to contact and helpful to work with.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the home’s cleanliness, beautiful views, and relaxing amenities like the hot tub and back porch. We’re also happy our team was easy to reach and helpful during your stay. We sincerely apologize if the acreage and access road were not what you expected. The property does sit on 35 acres, but as you mentioned, much of it is mountainside terrain, and we appreciate you pointing that out for future guests. We’ll also review how we describe the road conditions so travelers can plan accordingly, especially based on their vehicle type. Your input helps us improve, and we’re glad that overall you had a very good stay. We’d love to welcome you back in the future!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was absolutely perfect in every way. From the stunning mountain views to the luxurious, thoughtfully chosen details — everything exceeded our expectations. Unwinding in the hot tub at the end of each day was the perfect way to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. Watching wildlife wander through the property made the experience even more special. With seven of us in our group, we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the beautiful, open kitchen and cozy living room. We’re already counting down the days until we can come back!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wow. This place was amazing! The gorgeous mountain views out the large windows in the back were something out of a postcard! The home was very clean and roomy with a huge kitchen that opens up into the main living area which was perfect for our big family. The location was so convenient too because it was only a short drive into downtown Durango which has tons of cute shops and places to eat. We hiked up above the town too which was super cool. Everything about this place was awesome and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend it!

This was our first time visiting the property and the Durango area. We were fortunate to experience great weather almost our entire stay and there were fantastic views from every window in the home. Finding the property was easy and the only glitch in getting there was the access-coded, subdivision gate prior to reaching the home. I could not find where the code was delivered in advance in the emails sent. The good news is that upon emailing the question, it was promptly provided. Frustration averted! Also, be prepared for Deer Trail, the last 1.5 miles, before the home as it is a wash-boarded gravel road. Rough. The home is perched on a ridge that is around 7,800' in elevation and provided commanding views of the La Plata mountains. A little breezy at times in the afternoon but the view changes on the mountains by the hour. Cool, dry air so bring plenty of moisturizer, lip balm and sunscreen. In town, which sits at about 6,500', was always warmer than at the home. One thing that was not clearly detailed that does make a difference was that the Master Bedroom suite was locked and inaccessible. The correct number of available bedrooms, bathrooms and sleeping capacity was accurately advertised but the true Master suite, the whole end of the downstairs level, was not.I would recommend booking a trip on the Durango to Silverton steam train which was a long, but very scenic day if you ride the train up and back. Also Mesa Verde National Park is breathtaking. Thanks!

Incredible Views with all the modern conveniences!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: These views are breathtaking like you’re staring at a postcard while you drink coffee! Everything we were wanting for a relaxing family getaway in the mountains. The setup of rooms was perfect for our party. You feel like you’re off secluded way up in the mountains but with all the modern conveniences. Instacart and DoorDash both came to the location which was great for us as we cooked most of our meals at the house and we were traveling with a baby. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful home with great furniture, but the views were everything. I will say skiing wasn’t the focus of our trip, but some from our party did go into town every day and spent time at purgatory and the drives were easy.

Love the Sky Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent 6 nights at the Sky Cabin with a group of 4 couples and it was an idyllic location to relax and visit. The view of the mountains from the back porch is spectacular. We enjoyed spending time in Durango during our stay. We walked the Animas River Trail, played pickleball along the river, visited several breweries in town, and rode the train to Silverton and back. Make sure you book the train well in advance. We splurged and did the premium last car. We also visited Mesa Verde NP where we toured the Cliff Palace (booked 14 days before tour) and hiked the Petroglyph Trail. We spent one day driving to Ouray and Telluride where the views were spectacular and the towns were charming. The Sky cabin was a perfect location for our sightseeing. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped to enjoy some of our meals at the cabin. I highly recommend staying here.
