We chose to spend time in Hawaii to relax, have some space to read and be creative, and to enjoy the natural beauty and adventure of Kauai’s North Shore. The room was well appointed, clean and well cared for and we appreciated the amenities we were able to use. We felt that the space was smaller than we expected, but we were sure to spend the majority of our time off the property. The location is fantastic and we highly recommend this place to stay for a single individual or couple looking for a comfortable and well appointed place to rest their heads after a day of exploration. We used the spa daily and found the area quiet and well cared for. We recommend more patio furniture to spend time outside reading and enjoying nature too

Sounds like a sweet little North Shore home base. We’re glad the space was clean, comfortable, and easy to come back to after exploring Kauai. It’s definitely more of a cozy setup for one or two guests, and we appreciate the patio furniture suggestion. We’re always open to ideas that could make the space even more enjoyable.

We just loved our stay here! Our host was very responsive . It was mostly secluded (except for those chickens ) and a great location; we also enjoyed using the hot tub many times since it was rainy and cloudy many of the days we were there. The kitchen was perfect for our needs, we made it work.
A short little walk from our place we found this amazing overlook and rooster!

Love hearing that your stay was a good one. Even with the cloudy weather, it sounds like you still got to kick back and enjoy yourselves, and that is what it is all about. The chickens may not always keep a low profile, but they sure have a way of making themselves part of the experience. Loved this place

We booked this place super last minute for a 8 day getaway and it was great. It’s small, but we weren’t there except to sleep. Too much to enjoy outside to be inside! It was clean, comfortable and would definitely stay here again!

Our Peaceful Place

We loved our stay here. It was in a great location. Very quiet. Bed was comfortable. We will stay there again. The only thing needed is a microwave and better cooking items, like skillets, etc. We cook breakfast every morning and only had a small 9 inch skillet. Besides that, everything else was amazing.

This place was such a great find at the last minute. The room is as advertised and was grateful that the bed and bathroom were so large. The kitchenette was great because I was able to stock the fridge with groceries I bought as well as do laundry whenever I needed to (I brought my own tide pods and dryer sheets). I was able to ask for a last minute guest count change and the owners immediately responded and accommodated. The location is perfect in Princeville because it sits right near the Princeville shopping center and 11 or so minutes from Hanalei! Thank you again!I still give this place 5 stars but there were a few things to make note of:-The pavers leading to the back of the house made it difficult to walk at times - I did end up pulling a muscle because I having a hard time carrying my luggage across them. :/-The bathroom was very clean overall but the shower had a very strong mold smell. I bought a daily shower spray but still had to pour some clorox down the drain to help kill the smell. After doing all that, the smell was gone.-The AC made the room feel cooler but even though it had been on for several hours, the room was still pretty warm and I personally sleep comfortably at 75-76 degrees in my house.

We’re glad the space worked well for your last-minute Princeville trip and that the location, room setup, and quick guest-count change made things easy. We also appreciate the detailed notes you shared afterward. The paver walkway is part of the home’s outdoor setup, and we understand it can take a little extra care when carrying luggage. The shower odor and cooling comments weren’t brought to our attention during the stay, so we didn’t have the chance to take a closer look at the time. We’ll make sure the shower and drain receive an extra housekeeping check. For cooling, the room is equipped with a mini split, along with a floor plug-in fan for additional airflow. Hawaii’s heat and humidity can sometimes affect how quickly a room feels cool, especially during the warmer parts of the day. We’re always happy to help guests with the setup or check anything during the stay if needed. We’re glad you still had a great overall visit and appreciate the thoughtful feedback.
