The house was exactly as described and met all of our needs. It was close to beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, playground for the children and ice cream shops.

House had everything we needed for a fun family vacation. Quiet neighborhood for biking and walking with our toddler. Bike to beach, less than 2 miles.

Great stay with family. The house was great, near beach and many attractions. Outdoor space and shower were excellent. We cooked almost every night, kitchen fully stocked abs gas grill on the deck. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

House is very clean and close to all attractions and beaches. The property manager, Steve, is extremely friendly and accommodating. This is our second year in a row renting this house and it won't be the last!

My family thoroughly enjoyed this home. The layout was perfect for socializing and the yard was fabulous for the kids to play safely. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could use. Loved the separate beverage refrigerator. Our bed was very comfortable in the suite; the others could have been better.

Family vacation 2024

Visited with a family of 9, including a 3, 4, and 6 year old. House had plenty of room and outside area was great for playing games with kids. Near pirates cove mini golfing, captain Parker’s for lunch, seagull beach, and of course multiple ice cream places!

The house was a close to the beach and was a perfect amount of space. The cleaning people did not exchange the comforters, which was disappointing. We washed them first. The living room and bedroom furniture was old and uncomfortable. The master shower stall was extremely narrow & cramped. It was a shame how unkept the yard was. There is a great back yard with burnt out grass and overgrown with tall weeds, which lent itself to lots of bugs. The most disappointing was the owners response to first a leak in the ceiling and then losing the air conditioning. I understand things break, however, the response was "you have to understand, these things happen", which was insulting; not, let me call an hvac person. I was told I could go home (this was day 2). There were no screens on the front door or the slider, which were both broken. I called Vrbo, who's response was tremendous. After they contacted the owner, an hvac person arrived that evening and it was repaired. The filter was filthy, like it had never been changed. Had it not been repaired then, the water accumulated in the ceiling would have broken through. We opted to stay because this trip included clearing 6 adult schedules and moving to another property would have been difficult. This could be a lovely property if the owner had shown some pride of ownership & maintenance. Instead it was just sad. This was not an inexpensive rental & I expected a higher quality than what we received. Very disappointed.

Hi Marge, Thank you for your review and your stay at 8 Nauset. We are glad you enjoyed the proximity to the beach and found the size of the house to be perfect! I would like to address some of your remarks. Our mattresses are changed every 3 years, and they were changed just last year. The spacious couch has 1 year on it, and we do find it very comfortable. I am glad we offer 3 showers on property, 2 of which offer larger showers than in the master. I believe the tall weeds you are referring to are decorative sea grass located throughout the yard. We also addressed the leak and had our 24-hour on call handyman on site that very day to resolve the leak, thank you for alerting us to that. When you informed us of the A/C not working we had out hvac man the same day and resolved that problem. We have rented out our property for over 10 years and as you can see by the reviews posted on vrbo we enjoy a 4.9-star rating. We also have plans to update the slider and front door this year. Every year we do a project to improve the property. Yes, things do happen and we addressed them right away which does exhibit pride of ownership. While unfortunately you felt your stay was not all you think it should have been, we look forward to seeing you next year. Again, thank you for your stay. Wishing you the best. Thanks Ernie D. OWNER

Family Vacation 2023

Very nice property. Had everything we needed and more for 8 adults, a toddler, and an infant. Nice seating area, big dining area, fenced in backyard. Great area. Seagull beach was perfect. One bathroom, along with the washer/dryer, is actually connected to what appears to be a master suite. Kinda left us with one bathroom most of the time. But no big deal - we successfully dealt with it. Just wasn’t mentioned in the description that I saw. Overall great experience. Would recommend.

Wonderful Beach Vacay 2025

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has traveled to the Cape for many years and have stayed in Dennis, Harwich and Yarmouth. We love Sea Gull Beach and was looking for a home that was nearby. The home Nauset Lane was perfect for the six members of my family who traveled this year. The home was bright and welcoming, and our favorite parts were the gathering areas... deck, living room and dining room. The outdoor shower was used often and one of the best we’ve had. We also loved how close it was to restaurants and shops as we had dinner at Captain Parker‘s and the Yarmouth house. It was very easy to find ice cream for our nightly treat. We also had a week of beautiful weather and was able to get out to beach every day. We would recommend this home to our friends and family and hope to rent it again in the future.

We love West Yarmouth

This is our second year visiting this home. The house is great for us, 5 adults and 3 kids 8, 6 and 2. The house is clean and comfortable with a great kitchen, living room, dining area and large accommodating bedrooms. Love the fact there is a washer and dryer especially with kids. The yard/deck is great and we used the fire pit to makes s’mores. Also lots of great walking/running routes in the neighborhood. But most of all the house is close to everything. We visited the Water Park, Pirate Museum, the Music Room, mini golf, and go carts. We saw the Kennedy Museum and Mass Air and Space museum in Hyannis. We took a boat in Hyannis Port for harbor ride. One day we went to Provincetown and had a great time sightseeing and stopping at the Truro Vineyards on the way back. It was a fabulous vacation. I cannot say enough great things.

beautiful Seagull beach

The house was just as described. It was clean and large enough for our family. The eating areas were large enough to have the entire gather around one table. the kitchen was well equipped. There is a family of turkeys that live in the neighborhood and a family of bunnies that live under the shed. We would love to rent again in the future.

Great property and location

We are 3 67-year old women celebrating 50 years of friendship. We travel together every 3 years to a different locale. At 8 Nauset, we were close to beaches, Hyannis and the Martha’s Vineyard ferry. Provincetown is roughly an hour drive. We each had our own room with a queen bed, and there is a twin room as well. There is a nice backyard with furniture. We were on the go, so we did not have much time there. We really enjoyed Seagull Beach, Race Point Beach, the CC National Seashore, Martha’s Vineyard and the chowder at Captain Parker’s Pub!

Great family rental!

Great vacation property for our multi-generational family of 8. Spacious living and dining areas, modern kitchen with updated appliances, large deck with outdoor shower, grill and fire pit all made our stay enjoyable. Convenient that everything was on one level, including laundry. Drive to the nearby beach was quick and the weekly beach parking permit gave us access to several beaches, fishing and hiking spots throughout the Town of Yarmouth. Mini golf, restaurants, ice cream stands and other attractions all nearby. The host is friendly and accommodating. We look forward to our next stay!!

Awesome cape house

My large family had plenty of space and enjoyed the yard and neighborhood for walking and biking. Beach is close and plenty of things around for food and fun. The host Steven is great. Would love to go back
