Menehune Shores #621 is a beautiful unit with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and complimentary Wi-Fi. There is a California king bed, a television, a ceiling fan, and a split system air-conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms. The en suite bathroom is equipped with a shower/tub combo, the second bathroom has a walk-in show The second bedroom provides two twin beds, and a ceiling fan. The living room is also cooled by split system air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan. A queen sofa sleeper supplies extra sleeping space. There is a television so you can catch up on the local news or your favorite shows. For your outdoor adventures, you will find beach chairs, and beach towels. Menehune Shores #621 sleeps 6.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 24 hours of making the reservation requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.
Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will require an ID check and screening prior to confirmation.

Menehune Shores is conveniently located on the main beach road with easy access to some of the island’s best beaches, shopping in South Kihei or Kahului, and scenic drives to Lahaina /Kaanapali. This property is uniquely situated adjacent to the historically important 16th century Alii (Royal) Fish Pond of Kalepolepo. Protected by offshore reefs, the pond provides safe swimming for children and those wishing to avoid heavy surf. Additionally, there is a solar-heated swimming pool with barbecue grills on both the ground level and on top of the roof. The rooftop also offers some of the best views on this side of the island. There is a full bar & Indian restaurant on 1st floor/ATM for your convenience.
Near Activities Include: Scenic Drives, Luaus, Whale Watching, Swimming, Snorkeling, Surfing, Kayaking, Sailing, Eco Tourism, Paddle Boating, Sight Seeing, Beach-combing, Horseback Riding, Bird Watching, Shopping, Boating, Riding a Zip-line, Shuffleboard, Photography and just…relaxing.

The location was great. There were beach chairs, an umbrella, towels and a cooler for beach days. That was very useful. Condo is older and could use some updates. The master bedroom A/C makes awful noise all night and there are bugs everywhere in the unit. We couldn’t even cut the lights hardly inside the unit at night without a ton of bugs gathering on the ceiling above.

The unit is nice and well outfitted. It could use a more comfortable couch a rug on the cold tile floor in the living room. The view of the bay is wonderful from the lanai! Too bad we had a storm blow in for most of the week.

It was great. The view is amazing and we really appreciate going on a beach vacation and the place having beach chairs and an umbrella. You would think all would but they don’t so thank you!! We would recommend it to anyone!

This was a great location, right on the beach. We arrived just after the heavy rains this spring, so the beach waters were not super clean and the exterior of the property received some damage (not their fault!). The room however was just as pictured, right on the beach, great kitchen, plenty of items for cooking, easy parking. I liked the fun decor. The place smelled a bit damp when we arrived (again, probably from the rains) but this improved when we turned on the A/c. The unit does need some updates -- the master bathtub/shower did not look great, the master bedroom closet also needed some TLC, and one of the bedroom window screens was broken. The washer and dryer weren't working, but we'd been notified of this ahead of time. However, all that said, it was a fine place to stay and the other people in the building were quiet and friendly. Great view from the roof!

Great Location in Kīhei

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The two bedroom we stayed in was in a great location on the beach, amazing views from the rooms and balcony. The kitchen was stocked with anything you needed, they provided very nice beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie board, sand toys, some snorkel gear and a cooler to use at the beach, which was a huge win because we did not have to purchase that stuff. The rental did its job, we are not super picky about where we stay but this unit could use an update to the bathrooms, because of the outdated older state of the condo the bathroom showers were not as clean as I had hoped. The sliding door screen had holes that bugs could get in and fly around at night and the screen itself was broken and hard to slide. In all though it’s in a great location, for the right price and for our family it worked great for us. It’s Maui...it’s all about the outdoors for us, so we enjoyed our stay.

This unit is in a great location with great beach access but it is not not kept up. The electrical is not great and there is dust and dirt in the corners. Also a few plumbing issues with very slow draining.

Our first stay in Maui at Menehune Shores was memorable. It was a nice place to stay but my main reason staying was the advertised view from the room and it did not disappoint. Very beautiful! 1. Room was great and included a full kitchen stocked with necessities that were were able to use to prepare meals as needed.2. View was spectacular! This was my main reason for staying here.3. Staff very responsive to messages to them4. Great locationWe had a few minor issues while we were there1. The air conditioning in the master makes a loud noise every 20 minutes or so but it was still nice to have the cool air2. The room was not ready on time. We had to wait for them to finish cleaning after our check in time but there was a circumstance beyond their control.3. The fan in the extra room had issues with turning off by itself from time to time.4. The listing advertised tv in the master bedroom which we would have only watched in bed at the end of the day but there was no cable box in there hence we could not use it. Luckily we have iPads we watched in bed.5. TV remotes in living room were not functional 100%. It would turn the tv on and allow me to get to Roku but the directional pad to go up and down on the selections did not work. I ended up downloading the Roku app to be able to control from my phone. Again all in all the room was nice and I say these are minor because we spent our days out and about but it would have been nice to have these items functional.

After the first night I had to wash the comforter for the sofa bed as it smelt of BO. The unit has low end finishing throughout in need of TLC. The wifi is spotty and unreliable. It’s a miracle if you can get all the burners lit on the bbq’s both on the roof and by the pool. Usually half of them will light and stay on. The location is just OK. A bit far out of Kihei for our liking. Okay so z axes

We have stayed at the Menehune Shores many times, in various units. This was our first stay on the 6th floor and I liked it. I have to say I had high hopes based on the pictures of the updated kitchen, but found the rest of the unit kind of tired. A number of the wall plugs didn’t work as the plugs fell out … too loose? We were there for 3.5 weeks but there were no cleaning supplies like a mop or swiffer-type thing so we had no way of sweeping or cleaning the floors. We like to have the breeze coming in from the lanai which could blow in anything … but couldn’t satisfy the urge to freshen up.We were there for the extraordinary weather event and we did experience water in the front bedroom - thankfully we were amble to mop that up with the towels available in the unit. It was really nice to see signs posted by the building managers / condo association about the anticipated weather event, the steps they were taking to protect the building and property, and then seeing people pitching in to help clean up after the bulk of the weather had past. We couldn’t figure out the tv and remotes but a note to the property manager had someone come by in pretty short order to explain it to us. We had some challenges with the washer and dryer … help was available for that too. All in all, thankful for a lovely holiday in one of the nicest places in the world.

Great Location, but “A Mixed Review”

Menehune Shores is a nice, but dated condo complex. It’s centrally located, and is close to various routes to other parts of the island. The unit wascleanish, but we had to clean once we first arrived. Also, the unit is in serious need of updating. The pictures on the site look much better than reality. This applies to everything other than the kitchen, which clearly was updated within the past few years. I think we’d give a better review if the cost was cheaper. For the price, the unit should have be much nicer. Don’t get me wrong, we had a great time with BBQing on the roof, breakfast on the balcony with that amazing view. A jacuzzi would have been nice. Would we stay there again? Menehune Shores, yes. This unit, unfortunately no.

Amazing View!
