This Modern Beach House offers breathtaking views of the Sunsets and Sunrises on a quiet and very private non-driving beach, accessibility via a private sand road. 4-wheel, or All-Wheel drive recommended.
Seahorse is one of this area’s best kept secret! A perfect home for that special family retreat.
The Master Suite was recently renovated with a luxurious King bed and sitting area, perfect for relaxing and recharging at the end of the day, with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. Ensuite luxury bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and a walk-in closet. A cozy second bedroom with a Queen bed overlooks the protected wetlands and the Summer haven river and offers gorgeous views of the sunsets. Third Bedroom with a Queen bed offers ocean views with doors that open to the large ocean front deck. A Fourth bedroom with two twin beds and a playful marine inspired décor ensures that every member of your family has their own special space to relax and recharge.
The common areas center around a beautiful open floor plan with a newly renovated chef's kitchen and a comfortable living room area. The decor is beach/nautical themed and every room is comfortably furnished. In the living room is a high resolution 4K Ultra HD 65 inch flat screen TV.
Three very large decks invite you to witness the spectacular sunrises on the Atlantic Ocean or the sunsets over the Intracoastal Waterway. Enjoy a BBQ dinner on the rear deck with sunset views or casual lunches on the ocean front deck spotting dolphins in between the waves, pelicans coasting the up breeze and sand pipers skipping the lapping waves. With fabulous restaurants in Saint Augustine and south in the Hammock/ Flagler Beach areas, the best table will still be right here, and you will have little desire to leave. Publix grocery is a 10-minute drive to the South as well as A1 Fisheries for some fresh local seafood. Two nature and historic parks are not far and the 20-minute drive into historic St. Augustine will complete a great vacation. Wireless Internet. With only about 20 homes facing this wide stretch of beach, it is very private. Dolphins are easily spotted in the mornings when the ocean is flatter, and the area offers one of Saint Augustine’s best spots for surfing. The natural surroundings and incredible wildlife will make for a very memorable vacation.

The Sea Horse

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was fine until two nights before checkout when the refrigerator/freezer stopped working, or cooling; there was still power. We had to throw out a refrigerator and freezer full of food. We called the property manager and he had us trouble shoot to get the refrigerator working again and it did not. He said he couldn't get a repair person that evening and he would the next day. He never called. I contacted him the next day and asked about the repair service and got no reply. No effort was made on the property management's end to assist us. We loved our stay there but were disappointed in the lack of a response to our situation with the refrigerator not to mention the hassle and expense for the loss of food items. I hesitated about the recommendation of the property to a friend; I think I would. I know this type of situation is not likely to happen again but it would have been nice for at least a gesture of help instead we felt like we were ignored.

Secluded, yet close enough to stores, restaurants, etc. Home was very clean and stocked with everything you need. Derrick was attentive and answered any questions we had along the way. This was the best oceanfront home my family and I have rented. We will be renting it for years to come!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sea Horse is a wonderful house with a large deck overlooking a gorgeous view of the ocean and just inches away from sandy toes. The area is quite remote and quiet, so it was perfect for a restful vacation. There are plenty of attractions, stores and restaurants in the area but we took everything we needed and never left the house. Everything was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Our goal was to get away from daily stress and hustle and bustle and Sea Horse was the answer. We definitely plan to return.

Nice beach house

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best location ever! Right on the beach, which is private and therefore very secluded. Beautiful soft sand and nice rolling waves. The house is very large, nicely decorated with comfortable seating and a remodeled, well-appointed kitchen. Two bedrooms downstairs, one with queen bed and small half bathroom inside, and the other with twin beds and a tv. There’s a remodeled full bathroom by these bedrooms, and the washer and dryer nook in the hallway. Upstairs there’s the extremely spacious primary bedroom which includes a large full bathroom with walk in shower, and a large walk in closet. This bedroom suite is a gem! Beautifully decorated throughout. There’s another bedroom upstairs with a queen bed. Ok so here are the negatives. Being there in the sweltering heat of August, the downstairs was uncomfortably warm. In fact, our guests could only spent one miserably hot night in the bedroom downstairs (all the bedrooms were taken)I called Derick at St Augustine Vacation Rental and asked him to check on the lower level air conditioner. The upper level air conditioning was fantastic! He said he’d have to call the owner to see if he would be able to send someone out to check on the air conditioner. I also asked Derick for a fan to be used to blow the cool upstairs air downstairs. He said they didn’t have a fan and instructed me to go buy one (on my dime). After that I never heard from Derick again, even though I called and left him messages a few more times/days after that. So beware of this. Next item was that the large wooden picnic table on the expansive front deck overlooking the beach, was infested with big ants. It was very difficult for our family to enjoy sitting at that table. Next thing was that the kitchen sink faucet was coming unattached and hung loosely which required some finessing to operate. Luckily our handyman son had his tools and fixed it. And finally I killed a few roaches crawling around in the
