What the Property is Like

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a great meal (except the food of course). In addition there is a living area, sitting room, dining room and a game room with 2 arcade games, a pool table and an air hockey table.

Our favorite spot in the house is the patio and pool area. We have a huge table that seats 12, lounge chairs and a sitting area. There is also a grill that is free to use and the pool/spa can be heated for a small fee.

The patio is significantly larger than most in the Kissimmee/Orlando area so you can have family members relaxing on the couch and comfy chairs in the shade while others sunbathe in the lounges and still others are enjoying the pool and hot tub all at the same time!

An even more impressive perk of this space is that the house doesn't have neighbors behind it. The patio and pool area looks out onto views of a lush and beautiful conservation area.

We know what it is like to have a large group sharing a home and we want you to spend more time making memories, and less time doing things like laundry and the dishes, so we provide:

What to Pack (and what not to pack):

Toiletries and Personal Supplies: Bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste and skin care products. We will provide you with soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

Kitchen Items: Bring plenty of food and drinks. While we don’t provide anything to eat, we do have a pantry and two refrigerators for you to put your groceries in. We also have reverse osmosis water ran to the spicket by the kitchen sink and the fridge so bottled water is optional (Florida is not known for having tasty tap water so if you are picky like I am, a house like ours with reverse osmosis water is a huge plus). The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, cups, plates, silverware, crockpots, a blender, coffee maker, toaster and much more. Feel free to ask if there is something specific you like and you are wondering if it is there.

Paper Products and Trash Bags: We will supply starter rolls of toilet paper, but you will need to bring some to have when the starter rolls run out. You will also need to bring trash bags. The resort is specific about trash, so you’ll need enough trash bags (between 13 and 30 gallon sized) for your whole stay.

Linens: We provide bed linens, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and pool towels.

Baby Items: We provide two high chairs, two pack n’ plays, and two strollers. You will need to bring safety items such as outlet covers as well as your typical baby items like diapers and swim diapers.

One last thing that I want to mention about the property itself is that we believe what sets our house apart is that we are always updating and improving. A few of our recent updates include railings to get in and out of the hot tub and pool, an updated air conditioner, the master bedroom has been painted, we have new flooring in two of the queen bedrooms and half of the upstairs hallway (the rest of the hallway and upstairs room are next to receive the new flooring), and one of the upstairs bathrooms was just remodeled. We're always working to give you a wonderful home away from home.


The Resort and Resort Access

The home is located in Emerald Island, a beautiful and peaceful resort that offers a relaxing escape while still being close to the excitement. You can easily visit Disney World (3.6 miles), Universal Studios (17.3 miles), Seaworld (12.4 miles), and countless other Florida attractions.
The resort includes two community pools, a tiki bar, two playgrounds, mini golf, and an exercise room. You can also enjoy an outdoor sand volleyball court, tennis courts, and nature trails. During your stay at Mickey's Sunny Mansion you'll have full access of all of these amenities.
Emerald Island is officially in Kissimmee, though Four Corners is a more accurate description of its location. As you may know, Four Corners, Kissimmee and Davenport are all closer to Disney than Orlando and therefore are wonderful choices for your home away from home. This area is filled with gated and non-gated communities including Windsor Hills, Margarita Ville, Champions Gate, and many many more. However, none offer the unique charm, lush landscaping and welcoming atmosphere that make Emerald Island truly special.

A Few Details We Should Go Over

Being in Emerald Island is a huge plus because this gated community has quiet hours starting at 11pm so you don’t have to worry about your next door neighbors blaring music that keeps your kids up all night. This is especially wonderful when you are heading to a theme park early the next morning and you want everyone to get a good night’s sleep.

Most rental homes charge a lot of extra fees. We don't like this idea and don't charge many extras, for example we don't charge for the use of the strollers, pack n' play etc. We also don’t charge for use of the grill, but since we do not charge, we do ask our guests to be responsible for cleaning the grill. Be aware that it is possible the guest that used it before you did not do a good job of cleaning it.
Like most homes, we do charge for pool/spa heat because FL electric is very pricy. The way it works is you have to do your whole trip or none of it, aka no partial stays. The cost for pool/spa heat is $22 a day and we'll reach out to you about it when we get close to your stay so you don't have to decide right now. Please note that the attached spa is NOT a hot tub. It can only be heated if the entire pool is heated as they share the heater. We do always suggest getting the pool/spa heat if you are staying during the cooler months as the pool can get pretty chilly.

Vehicle pass cards are available in the clubhouse. These allow you to bypass the lines of vehicles checking in. There is a $20 nonrefundable cost per card.

For your safety and ours and to help keep the pool in good shape, the home is equipped with outdoor cameras. There are, of course, no cameras indoors. There is also a pool alarm on the patio door to help keep little ones safe.

There is a maximum of 6 cars per reservation.
