Michiana Heated Pool Retreat | Fire Pit, Fireplace, ~1 Mile to the Beach

Welcome to Woodcrest Pool Paradise, a cozy two-bedroom, one-bath pool house on a quiet, tree-lined street in Michiana, MI. It's about a mile (roughly a 20-minute walk) from Stop 37 at Seminole and Lakeshore, and a short 0.4-mile stroll to the expansive Michiana Village Park. Chicago is about 60 miles away for an easy drive.

Where you'll sleep: the primary bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom offers a bunk bed — sleeping up to 4 guests total.

The private pool is 16 by 33 feet, heated, and ranges from 3 to 8 feet deep, with a large pool area for lounging and outdoor dining. Beyond the pool, enjoy a gas grill for BBQs, a brand-new fire pit for evenings under the stars, and a mini basketball court in the backyard for family fun. The four-season room offers a relaxing spot to unwind, with a wood-burning fireplace inside and Comcast Xfinity cable TV and high-speed WiFi for streaming throughout.

A few things to know: no pets and no parties, with quiet hours beginning at 10:00 PM. Parking is limited to three cars in the driveway; street parking isn't allowed. Local township ordinance requires a 7-night minimum stay from May 1 through September 30 — we're unable to approve shorter reservations in that window.

We couldn't believe the amount of space in the backyard. Lots of seating area, a small area with basketball hoop, and the family loves the pool. It was so convenient for getting to all different towns nearby. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect BFF Vacation

We celebrated our 50th birthday at Woodcrest, and there is nothing I would change. Super Cozy, and the most beautiful backyard! The area was fantastic. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. All in all it was perfect!

The good:Location is amazing. The town of New Buffalo and Michigan city are both really fun with lots of great options for anything you could possibly want to do. This place is walking distance to a more private beach that has great views and sunsets. It is a lightly extensive 20 minute walk. The backyard is absolutely amazing. The pool is not overly heated (as preferred) and it was very clean and perfect for our stay - we stayed in the pool for hours a day. This is by far the highlight of the property. The backyard is well manicured and humongous. I could go on and on about the outdoors of this property. Inside, the kitchen was well stocked, it has a nice stove and microwave, and the addition room stayed cool and was a really great space. Additionally, the decor in the majority of the house is tasteful and nice.The constructive:The age of this place is showing and regarding smells, temperatures, and surfaces, there could be more care given to make even the current setup cleaner. There are broken things in most rooms, lots of random items (toys books, baskets, decorations etc,The place is falling apart slightly and in many places, unfinished and dirty. These could be “finished” or fixed without replacement and could add to the comfort level.There are ant traps and dirt in every corner. There were toys and popcorn under most pieces of furniture.Don’t rent this if you expect a “new construction” vibe or have a problem with dust or light mildew smells.

What a gem of a place . Definitely peaceful relaxing environment. Exactly what we needed to reset. Loved the neighborhood. Daily walks to beach and seeing hearing nature . My only suggestion would be bring your own pillows (we did this)maybe an air purifer and new sheets .Noted stains on sheets and pillows, shower curtain liner stained . These are so minor, it doesnt take away from the beauty of the place .

This is NOT a 3 bedroom.. a bedroom has a door on it. This small detail was actually a huge inconvenience. The only TV in the house is in the "third" bedroom so when my son went to bed in there, nobody could watch TV AND couldn't really hang out in the family room bc we didn't want to wake him up. The bunk beds are so squeaky that 2 people can't sleep there, unless you don't move at all. The bathroom is small and luckily I didn't really get ready to go or lighting would've been an issue The backyard is great, though. If you want to the party at your house with extra room and a pool, this is a house for you

Check-in was easy but there was only one key. Would have been nice to have 2 since there were 3 adults with cars in the house; also in case of loss. Having the pool was GREAT! It’s very nice and the backyard/pool surround was large, including several lounge chairs, table for 6, and a comfortable seating area for 4 A few towels were provided, but best to bring extras of your own. The home is beautifully decorated and the lighting was good, but the mattresses and pillows were disappointingly uncomfortable. In the “master” bedroom it would have been nice to have a bench instead of an armchair and side table—more useful for suitcases. The kitchen lacked a dishwasher (not really a problem) but a dish drainer was provided. We did not attempt anything beyond breakfast, sandwiches and snacks, but there was lots of cookware. The refrigerator doors REALLY need to open on the right so that food can be loaded and unloaded from the adjoining counter. I found the steps in front a bit tricky. An optical illusion exists that makes the step-down invisible and may cause one to trip off the step. This could create a liability for the homeowner. Bottom line: the house with the pool was wonderful. We spent many nice hours in the pool and on the pool deck. The pool was clean and well cared for, and we enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend this home for a group of 4 or fewer (since there is only one bathroom).

I asked questions about the property the week prior to my stay and I never received a reply! I asked through the inbox on my reservation through the app and also from the email sent by you! We were laying in the pool Monday afternoon and a man let himself in through the gate without announcing himself, to fix the ladder in the pool! We were all mad that you sent a repair person while there were guests using the house!!! That was very uncalled for! Especially since a loose ladder was not an emergency! That could have waited until after we checked out!!!
