Great experience- everything is as advertised. Clean and comfortable for our group of 2 couples. Close to the subway station and some great places to eat!

Tyson was very responsive and got back to me promptly whenever I reached out with a question or concern. We enjoyed our stay. A few small things that could make it even better: the shower curtain could use replacing, and having creamer and sugar available with the coffee would be nice. More lighting by the entrance gate would also help guests feel safer when arriving after dark. Thank you, Tyson!

Great location. Super close to 2 subway stations. Host was super nice and very responsive. Easy walk to the local grocery store and pharmacy. Downstairs space stays nice and cool.

Great Stay

Stayed here with a group of 6 adults and we were very comfortable - apartment is large, the neighborhood is great, and you are just a few short moments from the subway or the bus. Will be saving this listing for future trips!

Lots of room and close to subway

The apartment is very spacious and allowed us to all spread out and relax. It was close to several subway stops and a couple of great restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

The house was super clean when we arrived. The instructions for check-in and check-out were clear and easy to follow. The access to the unit is easy for people with big luggages but accessing the downstair area could be difficult since the staircase is quite steep. The place is super close to a lot of public transportations and supermarkets. Overall, a really nice, spacious and good location for a stay!

Harlam stay

Host was great, they were quickly responsive when we were accidentally locked out. Location is super close to a train and the local food scene and hospitality were great. The place was good for sleeping and prepping for days out.

Brownstone

I had a wonderful time staying in Harlem. Had a lot of places we was able to go to that was within walking distance. It was super convenient. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity came up again.

Great authentic property in a beautiful building in Harlem. Plenty of space for our family of three. Smooth check in process. Friendly neighbourhood. It is was a nice experience to came back to this place after a day of wondering through NYC. Recommended.

Charming Stay in Harlem

This Harlem brownstone was perfect home base for our family of 5 during our NYC stay. Easy access to MTA, local stores, and businesses. Check out Harlem Biscuit Company around the corner! And Proof Coffee Roasters, great cold brew. Located on a quiet street and plenty of sleeping space and room to spread out for our tweens/teens. Communication with the host was easy and responsive.

Brownstone in Harlem

Communication with property owner was great! The property itself was not as clean as I had hoped. It had plenty of space for us to spread out as a family of 5. I would suggest uodating the place because it really is a nice, historic property.

Mandy, the basement flooded ONCE on the LAST night of your stay and did not affect any of the living areas. Not the two bedrooms, the bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, or the dining room. It was literally rain water in the bottom family area where the extra television is. If you are going to complain in your review at least be honest. We sent out a plumber immediately, apologized for the inconvenience, and offered you a $150 credit. The apartment is located in a historic brownstone not a brand new condominium so things are bound to go wrong occasionally, all we can do is address the issue and express our apologies.

Overall lovely

Tyson was quick to respond and super helpful. I was unclear that it was a lower level of the brownstone, which was a touch disappointing, but it was still a brownstone in NYC so we were grateful! The lack of trash can in the bathroom, the microwave not working and the limited about of sleeping pillows were a bit disappointing. However, we made it work and we did enjoy our stay. The kids loved the big coach and it was a great location.

Natasha, thanks for your review. I really wish you would have informed us that the microwave wasn't working during your stay. This is literally the first time we've heard this and it was repaired this morning. The maintenance lives on the streets so he definitely could have come by during your stay. Also, we will add a few more pillows in the closet and a trashcan in the bathroom. Again, these are easy additions that could have been addressed during your stay if this were not the first time we were hearing about it. I'm sure future guests will appreciate it but it would've been nice to be informed during your stay given the fact that you note our are quick and helpful.

Host was very responsive. When we arrived at the property the code for the lock wasn't working (probably my mistake) and they were immediately able to reset it and we got in. The place was clean and comfortable and we had plenty of room for our family of four. There isn't a ton of storage space for clothes (no drawers) but that wasn't really a problem. The small kitchen was decently stocked but there were only two coffee cups and two martini glasses (which we used as wine glasses). There were plenty of plates, bowls, water cups, etc.I wouldn't mind staying here again however since most of the the stuff we did in the city was further South (Statue of Liberty, Broadway shows, Times Square, etc) we did have to plan on the extra 30 minutes of commuting time. If you are seeing stuff around Harlem (Hamilton Grange was well worth the visit) or the surrounding area, this place is fantastic. The closest subway stop is only about a 10 min walk away.The area was fine. There is a grocery store that's about a 15 minute walk away and lots of delis, restaurants and stuff all within a short walk. During the day, there was always people out and about talking, laughing and hanging out. At night it was always very quiet.

Pros: Excellent location in Harlem which is 2 blocks from subway and good restaurants. Instructions to enter the unit was easy to follow. The unit is as clean as it can be for a brownstone. We used the stove often to cook. Cons: The access is under the stoop stairs of a brownstone. The unit is at the back of the brownstone and has very little natural light with no views because it is on the ground floor. The second bedroom is in the sub basement with zero natural light. Very little air circulation.
