Enjoy the vintage charm and venerable character of this beautiful & historic Ocean Beach cottage. This lovely 1920s Craftsman Style Bungalow located in the heart of Ocean Beach is a certified historical landmark and was one of the very first cottages built in OB! Updates have been done where needed but most everything is original. The house and lavishly landscaped property have been meticulously maintained and cared for. The house has two levels, and you'll have complete and private access to the entire lower-level studio suite, a private patio area, and a private entrance. *Please note that there is another unit located upstairs. Both units are completely separate and self-contained, each with its own separate, private entrance and patio area.

The studio is divided into four separate areas. The bedroom/main sleeping area has a queen bed and a Roku Smart TV on the wall to decompress after being out and exploring the sights. Next to that is a living room area with a pull-out sleeper sofa, surfboard coffee table, and an electric fireplace for those cooler nights. A retractable fabric curtain divides these two spaces and can be moved to connect these areas if desired. The kitchenette is adjacent to the living area, featuring a hot plate, a convection toaster oven, a microwave, and a mini fridge. Built-in cabinetry offers plenty of space for dishes, glasses, cookware, and your food items. There is also a small dining table and two chairs. Just off of the kitchenette is the bathroom with an enclosed glass shower stall and vanity. The patio area is located right in front of the unit.

Relax in the patio or garden, or barbecue on the Weber gas grille surrounded by a gorgeous fenced-in yard with fruit trees, grapevines, native cacti, succulents, and other indigenous flora. Enjoy the convenience of the outdoor laundry area. The property is just blocks from several beaches including a local "secret" spot. Hit the shops and bars, grab brunch, or dine in one of the dozens of wonderful restaurants on and around Newport Ave. Stroll or take in the sunset on Ocean Beach Pier. And...don't forget to check out the OB Farmer's Market & Street Fair every Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 pm!

The house is just minutes from Sunset Cliffs, Point Loma, the Airport, Sea World, Cabrillo Monument, Seaport Village, Liberty Public Market, Belmont Park, San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park, etc. - We are also very close (walkable) to shopping, restaurants, bars, coffee shops & countless other attractions.

The campground was cozy with a running stream nearby to my campsite which created a love ambiance. I was able to connect to the wi-fi and communication with the host was quick. I didn't use the showers, but there was soap by the sinks and the port a potties were clean and stocked with toilet paper. I would absolutely recommend this campsite to my friends!

The cottage was cute, lovely & very comfortable for our family get away. It was very clean & fully stocked. The yard was beautiful, full of fruit trees. The host Brenden was pleasant & always quick to answer my questions.We are looking forward to another stay in the future.

Good location, easy to find & lots of street parking. The property itself was beautiful with fruit trees and outdoor seating. Inside was decorated nicely and the layout made good use of smaller size. The flight path was not bothersome to us. The renters upstairs were heavy footed and kids running back and forth but no fault of rental unit owner. Nearby Olive Tree Market has amazing sandwiches. Lots to walk to and shop at near by!

Cool place

The place was very cool. The people renting above us were loud and the neighbors had a party one night that filled the air. Other than that everything was exactly as the posting stated. If you are a light sleeper; it might be difficult to sleep when guests with kids are upstairs. The host was responsive and offered to bring us sound machines to help drown out the noise. We managed without it, but appreciated the support. We did signal for the upstairs family to quiet down and that seemed to work some, which helped! Cute place.

This was a great location with lots of restaurants that were within walking distance. We had no problems parking on the street, even late at night and we felt very safe. It was super clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

This unit needs some updating. For a few dollars invested the unit could command a lot more per night. Location is great. Bed & Sofa (bed) need replacing. Table wasn't sturdy but did the job. Dehumidifier / AC needs servicing / updated as this is a basement unit and gets quite musty. We were able to leave the door open for fresh air. Nice coffee and granola provided, but only a coffee press to make it in, which we assumed was the owner's preference. Inside was clean, but patio was full of pollen and required us cleaning before using. Patio chairs needed new cushions & covers. Convenience to restaurants, ocean, stores was what we wanted, and what we got.

Parking a little challenging but all worked out . Very adequate accommodations. Beautiful landscaping but could use some pathway trimming. Could use some senior accommodations but that's just an 80' comments. Dog loved it and she made a friend.

I have been hosting on AirBnB since 2015I believe in taking care of myself and value fitness, hiking and outdoor excursions with my puppy, Lola. Ocean Beach, or “OB“ as the locals call it, is a truly unique place. It’s often considered one of the very last true California beach towns because of its laid-back, bohemian vibe, strong local community, and unique blend of surf culture, eclectic shops, and a more authentic, less touristy atmosphere compared to other beach areas in San Diego. OB is known for its relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere, attracting a diverse mix of residents, including surfers, artists, musicians, and those seeking a coastal haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Further, specific local ordinances have been put in place that prioritize community character, local businesses, and a relaxed, beach-oriented vibe, resisting the encroachment of large chains and maintaining its unique identity. You won’t find any high-rise luxury chain hotels blocking the view of the ocean here with a 30-foot height limit for buildings and structures. This height limit was established to preserve coastal access and differentiate San Diego's shoreline from other cities. Plus, it is centrally located with so many things to do and see whether it’s shopping, dining, drinking, dancing, fishing, boating, hiking, surfing, biking, sunbathing etc
