Thank you for the good review!

Mahalo for your wonderful review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found the condo to be a great place to call home during your time in Kona. It's especially rewarding to hear that our team was able to quickly address the sliding door lock issue and help make your stay as smooth as possible. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Valarie—she'll be thrilled to know her patience and assistance made a positive difference. We're glad you enjoyed spending time on the lanai and at the pool, and we appreciate your understanding regarding the temporary parking garage construction. We're happy to hear it was still easy enough to navigate during your visit. Thank you as well for the feedback regarding the sofa bed. Guest comfort is very important to us, and we'll share your comments with the owner as we continually evaluate opportunities for improvement. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and are honored that you'd stay here again. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Big Island for another wonderful vacation! Mahalo and a hui hou!

We really appreciate the review!! We will absolutely talk to housekeeping about cleaning the floors better!

Thank you so much!!

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the convenient location and appreciated the beach amenities such as the coolers, beach chairs, and towels — we try to provide those extras so guests can fully enjoy their time in Kona. Regarding the view, the unit does offer an ocean view as shown in the photos, though views can vary slightly depending on where you’re standing on the lanai and surrounding buildings in the area. We appreciate your perspective and will review the listing photos to ensure they accurately represent what guests can expect. Thank you as well for mentioning the lanai door. The sign is there simply as a precaution since the door can lock if closed from the outside, and locksmith call-outs on the island can be very costly. That said, we will share your suggestion with the owner to see if there may be a better long-term solution. Mahalo again for your feedback and for staying with us. We hope to welcome you back to Kona in the future.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the condo mostly clean, well stocked, and equipped with what you needed during your stay. We appreciate you bringing the maintenance and housekeeping items to our attention, including the shower head, bathroom vent, dishwasher rack, lanai slider, and dishes. These are all items our team can address, and we agree that dishes should be checked by housekeeping regardless of the checkout instructions provided to departing guests. We do want to clarify the comments regarding the building’s structural condition. The building is governed and maintained by its condominium association, and structural matters are handled through the association and appropriate professionals. We would not want future guests to interpret speculation from individual owners or residents as a professional determination that the building is unsafe or at risk of collapse. If there were an official determination that the building was unsafe for occupancy, we certainly would not continue accommodating guests there. We completely understand that the building itself and the elevator situation affected your overall impression, even though those common-area matters are outside the individual condo owner’s and our property management company’s direct control. We appreciate the detailed feedback and will focus on the items within the condo that we can address directly.

Thanks so much for your overall great review!!

Thank you for your review!! Yes, we do try to be helpful to ensure renters follow the rules to avoid the fines the complex issues as we never want any of our renters to get fined! Thank you for your understanding. Mahalo!

Aloha, and thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry your arrival didn’t match expectations and that several items impacted your overall experience. First and most importantly, we apologize that the lanai/patio door was found open with the A/C off, causing the unit to be uncomfortably warm at check-in. That is not the standard we aim for, and we have addressed this with our team to ensure the home is properly secured and pre-cooled prior to guest arrivals moving forward. Regarding the air conditioning, we understand your frustration. The unit is equipped with separate A/C systems (one in the living area and one in the bedroom), and we agree the operation should have been clear and seamless from the start. We will be inspecting the remotes, confirming proper functionality, and updating our guest instructions so it’s easy to use without needing manual operation. We also apologize for the inconvenience of the pool closure and the short notice. Unfortunately, pool access and building maintenance items are controlled by the HOA/building management and can change with limited warning. That said, we understand how important amenities are when planning a stay, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Mahalo for your review and for the kind words about the cleanliness, communication, and overall experience. We’re so glad you found the home ready for your stay and that our team was responsive and helpful throughout your visit. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the starter supplies. As outlined in our rental agreement and guest information, we provide an initial starter set of items such as toilet paper, paper towels, and toiletries to help guests settle in upon arrival, with guests supplying additional items needed for longer stays. We understand every host may handle this differently, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective. We’re happy to hear you otherwise enjoyed the property and hope to have the opportunity to host you again on a future visit to the Big Island.

Thank you so much!!!!
