Unfortunately, there was an unexpected problem with the spa valve and the TVs at the time of your arrival. Thank you for your 5 star review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Pool heat is required to heat the spa as its not a separate unit. Grill hire is also an extra as the home does not have one and we have to rent one for you (if required) using an outside company. I do wish you had mentioned the cleaning issue as we could have looked at this for you asap.

Thank you for your 4 star review. I am sorry you had an issue with bugs, once you raised this with us a licensed Pest Control company went out the same day. The only found a few dead bugs but treated the home as a precaution. They asked you to let us know if you found any more to which you did not. They then treated the home following your departure and found no further issues with bugs.

I understand you had a couple of small cleaning issues which were put right by the cleaning team in a timely manner so to rate us 2 stars on this is not sitting well with me at all. This home is also located in a prestigious gated community with many communal facilities on offer. This is not a 2 star home and certainly not a 2 star community

I was waiting for your review Benedikte in all honesty. You were not a very nice guest – very demanding and rude and I see you have left a lot of things out of the review including the damage you caused to the home. You were demanding to be moved as the home was not where you thought it was (you thought you had booked another home with a different company and were blaming us!) when we said we don’t have that home on our books you then realised your error and came up with a whole load of issues so you could cancel, get a refund and book that home. Its just a shame that you have dealt with your error this way.

Thank you for your review Jody. But 3 stars for a home situated on a Prestigious Gated Community with many communal facilities on offer is ridiculous. The guest who stayed before you rated it 5 stars so I don’t agree with the 3 star rating! The only issue you actually mentioned during your stay was a broken pool net and we did supply a new net to you in a timely manner. I will have my Property Manager take a look at the fridge filter and plates. Regarding dish and laundry detergent, we are quite transparent in advising prior to check in what is provided in the home for you. You were informed that we only supply a couple of dish washer tablets, toilet rolls and a roll of bin bags, just enough to get you through your first few days before you do a shop. So, to rate us 3 stars on this when you were aware of what is supplied is unfair. Construction is at the rear of the home and across the lake, this is nearing the end but the home is priced taking this into consideration so again does this warrant 3 stars??

Thank you for your review Mary, although I do feel 3 stars is really harsh for this beautiful home on a gated prestigious development with many communal facilities to offer. I have checked over your booking and can’t see that you raised any issues at all during your stay so I’m struggling to see how you came to 3 stars? I will have my Property Manager check out the pans etc. If you could contact me for further feedback I would be most grateful as the last reviews of this home where 4 and 5 star so I’m struggling with your 3 star review in all honesty

Thank you for letting me know. I'm sorry to hear it was quite busy getting into the home at the Gate, this can happen on major public holidays. We did offer to send you a QR code for quick access but you did not take us up on this.

We are disappointed with your review and the low star rating as we understood from our contact with you that the issues raised had not caused much disturbance to your stay. When you contacted us about the towels & face cloths, we arranged to have them replaced/replenished at the next available opportunity. You advised us the hairdryer was broken and that you were just letting us know so that it could be replaced for future guests. You advised us about the blinds for information purposes and we arranged to have the light bulb replaced once we were aware. You stayed in the home for 9 days and notified us about the pool issue on day 8, which was a weekend day, someone was sent to the home the same day. We were not aware that you had any issues with the mattresses, we will be sure to check this out, however, to advise; we have had no complaints from the 3 guests who have stayed since. You stated in one message ‘I truly don’t mean to be annoying. It is a beautiful home and we are enjoying it very much, also extremely clean!!’. Your review contradicts your messages during your stay, which we are saddened by, however, we are glad you found the home to be beautiful and you liked the location.

Thank you for your review although I do feel it is unfair considering the options offered. Building work is ongoing on some areas of this development which to be fair is in the property description on the listing. Some building work is normally found on new developments unless you are staying at one of the last homes to be built and very often the work is intermittent. We do accept the building work in this area of Solterra during your stay was at a higher level than guest would expect and because of this we offered to move you to a home of the same standard on the same resort but you decided to turn this home down and opted for the 10% refund instead. The home we offered had no construction in its vicinity and was the same size as the property booked. The motel rather than 5* hotel quote is also very unfair, especially in a home that had a $41k furniture package installed less than 2 years ago. As stated this is an unfair review considering you had the opportunity to move and you chose to stay! I have forwarded your feedback onto our property manager in resort who will deal with the other issues you raised, I only wish you had mentioned them during your stay as we could have put these right for you.

Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your time at the home. The pool does benefit from a gas pool heater and in my opinion, gives much better heat than an electric pool heater.
