Onofrio Flat ligger i centrum af Rom (i den gamle Rione Trastevere), mellem Vatikanet og det historiske centrum, få minutters gang fra Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, Campo de Fiori, St. Peters, etc. Lejligheden kan rumme op til 6 personer, er beliggende i en historisk bygning nylig restaureret og er på stueetagen med en dejlig terrasse. Lejligheden er beliggende på Via di Sant'Onofrio, og er nået ved klatring to eksterne trapper, det består af 2 soveværelser (et med en queensize seng, et med en enkelt seng og en dobbelt sovesofa), 2 stuer ( et med enkelt sovesofa) et stort køkken og 2 badeværelser (et med bruser og den anden med røret).

Goede locatie!

Leuk appartement dichtbij het Vaticaan en de gezellige wijk Trastevere. Veel bussen die dichtbij het appartement stoppen waardoor je makkelijk Rome kan verkennen. Appartement van alles voorzien. Prima voor een stedentrip.

Great location, but musty

Older, large apartment in a great location for walking to Vatican City. Property manager was very responsive and arranged for delivery of new microwave and lighter for gas stove, as neither worked on our arrival. Biggest issue for us was the musty smell. It may be due to the several older wooden pieces of furniture. We plugged in the dehumidifier and emptied it several times and also set the AC to dehumidify the air. There are no doors separating the sleeping areas from the other living spaces. If you are taller than 5 foot 8 inches you will need to duck down so you don’t hit your head as you enter or leave the master bedroom. Rustic kitchen was not inviting to us

Great Flat to Explore Rome

There were five of us and we walked to most Rome sights from the flat. The flat is very close to the night life of Trastevere which is a prime reason we chose it. This is a fun cozy flat for a group of friends to enjoy. The flat is a rustic example of Roman living including workable but old pipes. The air conditioning works which is important in Rome. The hosts were very helpful. There are many stairs to reach the flat, so this is not appropriate for people with limited mobility.

Great location and fun house for kids

We really enjoyed our stay at the house, which is walking distance to so many things in Rome! My teen boys both wanted to stay in the sleeping loft, definitely a fun place for kids. The kitchen was well stocked, but I wish they had more than just salt and pepper in the kitchen. The woman (Margerie) who came to let us in was extremely prompt and helpful with ideas to walk around the area. Perfect spot with a great outdoor space for those sunny days.

Great Ro e Basecamp

We spent a quick week exploring the city over Christmas, and felt that this flat positioned us perfectly. Don't misunderstand! There is plenty of walking involved in seeing the city. But this location put us close to good transportation options, good eating, a pop over to St Peter’s Square for Pope Francis’s blessing Christmas Day, beautiful views We bought hop on-hop off bus tickets and used that for our transportation to various areas of the city. Tours of the Coliseum, Forum, Vatican museums, even a day trip to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast booked with City Wonders were beyond expectation. We highly recommend this tour company. Our favorite night out was to see Don Quixote at Teatro del Opera di Roma, with a late night Christmas sing-a long at La Buca Romana Trattoria and the largest charcuterie board ever! Also dinner in front of the Pantheon at Napoletano was so fun! The flat has all the functional requirements, but you’ll need to bring soaps, tissue paper, coffee. The shops on the street below have all the basics covered. Great place!

Stay at Onofrio flat

My first impression was how clean the property was. It is spacious, comfortable and very nicely decorated. I was quite happy to spend a month there. The stairs were a challenge but I was was pleased to know that as a 79 year old I was able to manage. Maybe I’m not at decrepit as I thought. The only two issues we had was a shower that didn’t drain well and a stove with just one working burner. We bought a plunger for the shower and that helped. The single working burner was not a problem for me because I did not plan on doing much cooking. I preferred to take advantage of the wonderful local food. However, if someone stays with you and wants to cook a meal it would be difficult. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your lovely home. My best, Barbara Oldenhoff

Large terrace near vatican

The property is off a street that is very old steps no cars so awkward for luggage and the gated entrance is up then up more steep narrow steps so you need to be reasonably fit. Once you hit the terrace things massively improve large terrace with table and chairs no sunbeds . spacious well equipped property 6 beds suited couple with real attempt to create a historic feel. Very close to number 64 bus route main east west route everywhere is easily accessible from this route.

Great but watch the stairs

Not exactly Trastevere, good location more Trastavere adjacent and close to Vatican. Ends up being a good location to get around but the stairs up to the flat are a little tricky. Narrow approach. No doors to the bedrooms so it’s all open. We enjoyed it overall. Would recommend. Pleasant and interesting spot. 2nd set of keys would be good.

Bedingt zu empfehlen

Leider zu großer Schimmelgeruch bei der Ankunft, hat nur bedingt während der Woche verringert. Schimmelpilzbefall an einigen Wänden. Im Sommer bestimmt eine prima Wohnung mit schöner Terasse, allerdings nur über eine steile brüchige Treppe oder eine ca 1,20m hohe Tür zu erreichen. Man sollte etwas sportlich sein.

Amazing apt in Roma

I and my 2 friends come to Rome Italy every fall and we always rent an apt there for a more authentic experience. Sara's apt in Trastavere has been the most pleasant of them. The apt is unique in its antique building with curved doorways and it is decorated so that every place you look there is something interesting and pleasing. It is centrally located and quiet and we were able to walk many places such as the Vatican and Piazza Navona as well as to the center of Trastevere where there are many good restaurants. The apt had a fully equipped kitchen (with a dishwasher!) and having 2 bathrooms was definitely a plus. Everything was clean and spacious. The only challenge was that there were many steps going up to the apt and the another set of steps inside the building's gate so if you have mobility challenges, be aware of this as we are older and one of us had difficulty climbing them. That said, I hope to stay there again when I return as the apt and its terrace were amazing and living there added to the experience of visiting the beautiful city that is Roma!

Für Kurzurlaub gut geeignet

Insgesamt hat es uns gut gefallen. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und ansprechend, allerdings sind - außer zum Bad/Toilette keine Türen vorhanden, was aus der Beschreibung für uns nicht erkennbar war. In der Küche war der Toaster defekt, und beim Gasherd haben nicht alle Flammen funktioniert. Außerdem erhitzten sich bei Benutzung des Backofens sämtliche Bedienungselemente (Griffe) so stark, dass man sie ohne Handschutz nicht bedienen konnte. Die Blumen auf der Terrasse waren - im Gegensatz zum Foto - total vertrocknet, der Zugang zur Wohnung ungepflegt. Parkmöglichkeiten sind nicht begrenzt, sondern überhaupt nicht vorhanden, ein Aus- bzw. Einladen des Gepäckes vor der Wohnung ist nicht möglich. Trotzdem hat es uns gut gefallen.

A peaceful apartment with a beautiful sunny terrace

This is our second stay in the flat which is tucked away in a pretty street in Rome with a beautiful terrace to relax on after a day walking around Rome. It is easy to get to all the main tourist attractions as there is a bus stop at the end of the street. Nicola the City manager of the flat is fantastic and was very quick to respond if we asked for any help etc. Nicola also organised a welcome hamper of food for our arrival which was absolutely delicious. The flat is very spacious, the hot water was good, the wifi was very fast which my husband was pleased about as he had to do some work on his laptop whilst in Rome. We love this apartment - thanks again Sara and Nicola for all your help.

Lovely property, ideally located, no hot water.

The apartment is quite beautiful, filled with antiques, in a lovely setting, and ideally located. However, we were without hot water for 3 of our 5 day stay. The management attempted to repair the boiler and were initially not able to. We were offered a 20% discount which had yet to materialize. Some of out party braved cold showers. Also, the WiFi connection was intermittent. We were also offered another apartment, but after unpacking we didn't have to heart to move. The kitchen was well-equipped.

A five hundred year old Roman home

The property is well supplied and furnished with sturdy country antique pieces. The kitchen is huge and could easily hold 8-10 people at the table for dinner. The appliances and bathrooms are modern but still keep the old Italuan atmosphere intact. Ithe Tiber is just down the hill and across one street. My only concern would be hauling groceries up the many stairs to get to the apartment.

Beautiful Apartment

We visited with our family of 5 (3 children) and our friend. Nicola, our host, was there to greet us with a walk through of the apartment and instructions on the local sites. She was also kind enough to provide us with a list of children-friendly locations to visit. She also arranged for a shuttle to take us to the airport at an affordable price. She was very nice and accomodating. Aesthetically, the apartment was beautiful. It was stocked with plenty of towels and the kitchen had everything you need to cook. Also, it was quite clean on arrival. There are a few things that can be improved. I only mention these in the kindest way for future improvement because I feel that this could be the perfect place if addressed. Here they are: the WIFI needs to be upgraded; it hardly ever worked / the paint in certain portions of the walls was chipping away; it made it difficult to sweep because it would fall off the walls when gently swept against when we swept the apartment / there was a bit of an issue with ants; at first we thought it was food related, but they eventually made it to one of the bathrooms / the gas boiler kept going out / garbage sacks for taking out the trash were difficult to locate / lastly, we ran out of toilet paper two days before our departure date; we are accustomed to using bidets, but this was still an issue. Other than these few hiccups, the place was excellent. I would recommend this location to anyone who is an adventure seeker or a couple looking for a romantic getaway. The Vatican is literally a 7 minute walk, tops. There's a super market right across the bridge (10 minute walk). The buslines are right down the stairs. The apartment is huge so you know you'll have plenty of room to relax. I would visit again if given the opportunity with only my wife for a romantic getaway.

Great location

We stayed with a family of four (2 children, 14 & 12). The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location is great. The terrace was very nice and quiet, especially after a long day of sightseeing.

A GOOD BASE TO EXPLORE ROME

WE STAYED FOR 5 NIGHTS AND THERE WAS AMPLE SPACE FOR OUR FAMILY OF FIVE. THE FLAT WAS PRESENTED VERY WELL AND WAS AN EXCELLENT BASE TO EXPLORE ROME, EVERYTHING WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE. NICOLA WAS ALWAYS VERY RESPONSIVE TO EMAILS AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND LETTING THEM ORGANISE TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT.

Excellent base to explore Rome

My wife and I stayed here with our two adult sons. The place was attractive and comfortable - nice beds, furniture, art, kitchen, patio, etc. The location was a good base for exploring Rome by foot. Our contact person, Nicola, was also helpful and responsive.

Séjour en Février 2014

Bel appartement décoré avec beaucoup de goût, a deux pas du Tratevere, quartier populaire et animé et du vatican. Accès facile, bien desservi par les bus, au bord du fleuve. Doit être très agréable en été. Equipement ménager complet. Seul bémol, appartement un peu sombre et un peu humide en saison froide. Très bon accueil et très bon relationnel avec Nicola, la city-manager. Je recommande et pourrais facilement revenir

An okay option

Just returned home from a 10 day stay in this apartment. It did not get off to a good start as there was no one there to meet us even though at the property owners request I emailed him the day before to confirm our 4:00 p.m. arrival. I was never given a property manager phone number so after climbing all the stairs I finally secured an internet connection and emailed the property owner who responded quickly that he was abroad and gave me the manager's phone number. I called Nicola who was very apologetic but it seems no one told her we were coming at 4:00. Tonnino arrived about 1 1/4 hours later so we sat on the steps with our luggage while we waited. Not a good first impression. We were given a brief tour of the apartment by Tonnino. The apartment is very large and comfortable for 4 persons. It is VERY damp and dark. We were glad the weather cooperated so we could leave the few windows open for air but in the master bedroom and bathroom there is no air flow at all. There are no doors on either bedroom and the 2nd bedroom is not private at all...it is right off the 1st living area and kitchen. This was not a problem for us but I think it should be noted. We had MAJOR problems with the wi-fi that did not function for at least 1/2 of our stay. Nicola was very diligent about trying to rectify the problem but unforunately was not able to. This was a problem for me because even on vacation I must check email daily for my work :-( so I ended up calling my internet carrier and paying for internet in Italy...an expense I was not happy about as we paid for an apartment with wi-fi. The terrace is lovely and when at the apartment this is where we spent most of our time. Bathrooms are very dark...difficult to shave/apply make up. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipted. We were able to walk to all main attractions but it is at least a 20 minute walk and about 45 minutes to the Colloseum. Buses are an option but always very packed. All-in-all it was okay but I would probably not stay here again when I compare it with other rentals we have stayed in both in Italy and at home in the USA.

Great location

The apartment was very nice and the location was perfect-walking distance to all major attractions-Trevi fountain, Coloseum, Vatican. We booked 2 tours thru the flat and the guides met us at the flat-very convenient. We had asked for 2 fans and they were delivered in a timely manner-very accommodating. The steps after entering the gates to the apartment were not lite which made it difficult to enter the apartment-light bulbs were burnt out. The shower tiles were moldy which could be cleaned with a little bleach. Otherwise the apartment was perfect and met all of our needs for our stay in Rome.

Very nice and convenient apartment in Rome

My wife and I, two adult daughters, and a boyfriend stayed here for four nights in August. It is a terrific apartment--spacious, well-equipped, and cozy. It is also within walking distance of all the major attractions we wanted to see--the Vatican, Hadrian's Castle, the Forum, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. And although it is not in a commercial neighborhood, the main street at the base of the stairs had a couple of caffes, markets, and shops that had convenient hours and met our immediate needs. We got in fairly late, and were directed to cross the nearby bridge over the Tiber, and there was a fine restaurant just on the other side, which was also near where we got our morning cappuccinos and croissants. Nicola and Tonnino were very responsive--met us at the apartment, helped us with a few issues that came up (e.g., power was out at the street for a couple of hours after we got there; and we had a temporary wi-fi connection that worked well, and Nicola made sure that we had enough "hours" paid on it for our use). The apartment is also about 10 minutes north of the Trastevere district, where we ate on our last night in Rome, and found it to be a very lively and fun area--very "bohemian," with apparently a lot of college-age students. We also cooked two dinners in the very well-equipped and comfortable kitchen. Although the apartment had only one true bedroom, there was ample sleeping area with the two living rooms and sofabeds (and the loft, which we did not use). We spent a fair amount of time sitting out on the patio, having something to eat or drink, or simply to read--it was private and quiet. The one downside to the apartment was that it is partially below street level, and the main bedroom/bathroom have no windows or real ventilation; the apartment stayed cool, but generally there was a lack of air movement. It was equipped with two dehumidifier units, but that didn't completely overcome the mustiness, particularly in the bedroom; one of our daughters, who has allergies, had a difficult time sleeping in the living room, with her sinuses very affected. So anyone visiting in the summer, with similar conditions, should be aware of this. It also requires hiking up two sets of stairs, which was not a problem for us (and was fairly charming), but could be a problem for elderly visitors or those with disabilities. Other than that, the flat was a very good place to stay, and we would recommend it to visitors to Rome.

great appartment in the centre of Rome

we (a family of 3 teenagers age 16,14,12 and parents) stayed in the appartment the first week of May and had a great time. It was really great to have breakfast outside on the terrace in the sun in the morning. One morning it was raining and we had breakfast inside in the nice decorated kitchen. The whole appartment is very cosy and well equiped. All interesting places are within a walking distance and I really can recommendate this appartment.

Rome is so vibrant all year round. All seasons can be enjoyed. Great base to visit all historical sightseeing. Good public transportation, no need for a car.

Incredible location, a few steps from the Vatican & center of town. Walk to old town!Central yet authentic, with many grocery stores and bakeries around. All the conveniences plus the charm of a typical roman house! With a wonderful terrace. A vacation but as well as a shopping, gastronomical & cultural destination for this location. Perfect setting for a memorable vacation! And our rates are very reasonable for this upscale location and for the size of our apt. I have a wonderful friend who is my property manager. He will take good care of you!
