Location, Location, Location, as they say. This is a great location right on the beach. The views were great! And the beach appeared only to be used by local residents walking their dogs. So we practically had the whole beach to ourselves. And the location is fairly central to the area, with Morro Bay and Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo nearby, so short trips. Lots of good seafood restaurants nearby as well, even in downtown Cayucos. The house itself was sufficient, but could use some maintenance and updating, with attention to detail. There were a few baseboards missing, which exposed the interior of the house to bugs. The mattresses were well worn--so worn that they dipped and were not so comfortable. But it was a fairly clean and comfortable stay. There were two single tiny garages, so parking outside.Early during our 6 night stay we were unable to use the washer and dryer because the outlet tripped the GFI plug, which malfunctioned. The host, Jena was immediate in response and so apologetic. She had an electrician come, who replaced the GFI and other plugs on the circuit. We were then able to use the washer and dryer. Jena was so very courteous. Her concern and communication was excellent and made us feel like we were well cared for.So in summary, great location, great views, great host! And sufficient house, which could use some attention by way of maintenance. As an indicator of how much we enjoyed our stay, we already booked the house for a vacation next year.
