A good place for a weekend stay for some fishing and beach time. 5 minute walk down a paved road to the beach, and it was never too crowded during our weekend here (October). Much closer to all the restaurants in the seawall area compared to a lot of rentals father down (towards Pirates Beach and further). The house was good, not great- this is just comparing to other VRBO stays where we paid a little bit more, and had nice “bonuses” like a beach wagon, beach towels, some toys, etc. This unit doesn’t have anything like that, so just consider it pretty bare bones. :) That said, it’s clean, close to the beach, close to restaurants, so just remember to bring your own “extras” and it’s fine. I wouldn’t want to stay here for a full week (due to small things like the washer and dryer being mildewy and the dryer being closed with tape, and no Keurig machine, no curtains on the rod in the primary bedroom), but we aren’t that hard to please so it gets a solid 4 stars for all the good things. My roughest moment here was when I went to start a load of laundry, and i opened up the front loader only to be shocked by a drum FULL of water- it went everywhere. I don’t know why it would have been left like that, and it took quite a few towels to clean up the mess. Not the owner or rental manager’s fault, so not reducing my rating because of this, but renter beware! :) Look for water before you open the washing machine door!
