The property was clean, nice, and comfortable, which we appreciated. However, considering the rental price, we expected a better-equipped home with more basic amenities. The kitchen was particularly under-equipped. There were no Ziploc bags, foil, plastic wrap, or food storage containers. Other missing essentials included hot pads, a colander, dish-drying rack, and dish towels. Only two small kitchen towels were provided for our nine-day stay. Bathroom hand towels and washcloths were also limited, and no body wash was provided. We contacted the host, who graciously offered to reimburse us for purchasing the missing items. While we appreciated the offer, we ended up spending an afternoon shopping for necessities rather than enjoying the rest and relaxation we had planned. The nonstick pans were scratched and had peeling Teflon and should be replaced. Other helpful additions would include table lamps in the bedrooms and living room, a hair dryer in the guest bathroom, and adequate hangers (one guest bedroom had none, and the primary bedroom had only 13).We also were not notified before arrival that the dishwasher and refrigerator water and ice dispenser were not working. The host explained that previous guests had damaged them.Overall, while the home was clean and comfortable, the lack of basic supplies and amenities, along with the appliance issues, detracted from our stay. At this price point, we expected a more thoughtfully equipped and prepared rental.
