Tucked in the woods and wrapped in a canopy of towering pines and poplars, this stylish container home is your perfect getaway. Wake up to birdsong, sip coffee on the roof-top deck surrounded by nature, enjoy 20 acres of trails, and unwind under the stars by the fire pit. Modern, cozy, and totally unique—this container home offers a full size kitchen, large bath, king bed, sleeper sofa. This beautiful property is 1 mile from Tucker Lake, 5 minutes from Patoka, 10 from downtown French Lick. Whether you’re chasing peace, romance, or a little adventure, this forest retreat is ready to make memories with your favorite friends and family. Please note-container walls are cedar in case there are allergies! We do have another house 150 ft up from container.

Plenty of room for boat/trailer parking.
Hiking trails are located around the property.

Excellent place for a getaway! You are away from the hustle & bustle and out in nature. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room to unwind after exploring the property and the area each night. The communication from the host was great. 2 small notes: There are other VRBOs on the property and bring all seasonings if you plan to cook.

My husband and I loved this place! We brought our boat to spend some time on Patoka Lake, and this place was very close to one of the boat ramps. It was a perfect place to come back to and relax after a great day on the lake! It was very clean, had everything we needed, perfect size for just the two of us, and quiet and secluded back in the trees, just like we love! We even had a deer right in the back, that was looking at us in the window! The hosts were super nice and responded so quickly with any questions we had! We definitely recommend this place, and we plan on coming back!!

The container was worth the stay. The host was in contact and communicated well. The trails around the property were spectacular and made the stay that much more great. The bed was not to my liking and was my only issue, but doesn’t stop me from potentially staying in the future or recommending it to others!

beautiful home, beautiful location ! it's actually super easy to find with the mailbox if you use that as the GPS since the container is right at the bottom of the the bigger house & trolley. the home was exactly as described and had everything needed for a mini get away. my husband and i went from my birthday weekend and it was the perfect size. i couldn't figure out the AC but Allison was extremely helpful and response and it was a simple fix. Her communication is top notch and you'll enjoy her as your host ! We will be back !

Really neat place! We have this saved for future trips to the area. We love hiking and there are trails directly behind the home. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we'll have to check that out the next time. Our host made sure we knew exactly how to get there and was very helpful all around with the information that was provided. Very short drive to everything French Lick has to offer. Thanks Allison!

The container stay was exactly as pictured and described. The hosts were great with communication and directions and suggestions. It's about 10 minutes from French Lick and a super easy drive. A few things to take note of but they didn't negatively impact our stay. The bed is comfy but pretty soft and having to crawl from the bottom might be challenging for some people. The container is also relatively close to another offering and the security lights stayed on making it hard to enjoy the dark outside for our fire pit and while the guests staying there were not overly loud, the sounds of the Cornhole and general conversation were easily heard out at our fire pit. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely time

Lovely space nestled in the woods. We used the outdoor table to read and relax. The upstairs deck was great for star gazing.

Perfect quiet weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy container home. The decor is super cute, and the location feels nice and secluded—perfect for a quiet getaway. The fire pit area was a great touch and made for a relaxing evening. We had several wildlife to watch as the sun went down or when we got up in the morning and had our coffee around the campfire. The bed was comfortable, and the space was thoughtfully put together. It’s a neat, comfortable spot to unwind. Would definitely recommend for a simple, peaceful stay! Owners are very prompt with answering any questions.

The communication was very thorough and made me feel at ease with what to expect to check in. Good packet of information at the property to help with what to do upon arrival and checkout. The keypad entry is convenient. I had access to the phone number of the owner, if needed as well.The house is very small which was okay, but there was no where to hang coats, or clothes, or to put snacks/food away. No closets or places to put our suitcases and bags that we carried in. It’s perfect for a night or two, but I couldn’t stay here for a longer period of time when you had more clothes and food, etc.

This place was great! As described, it is a shipping container, so it is compact while having all the necessities. Everything was clean, and getting in was easy and straightforward. The location is absolutely beautiful. We were surrounded by trees, and it was very quiet and peaceful. The patio area and rooftop deck offer great places to sit and enjoy nature. The trails were great too, leading down to a creek with some really cool rock features. We were just a short drive from French Lick and Paoli, so there were places to easily get food and groceries. We were also just a short drive from several trails in Hoosier National Forest, which was our reason for visiting. The hosts were great as well. They communicated a lot, making it easy to find the house, and giving clear instructions about checking in and out. We even met one of them, as he was working on their new house next door. He was very kind and offered suggestions on where to hike. We would definitely recommend this location to others.

It was beautiful and close to all the things. It is such a neat container home! I honestly would love to see pictures of the progression into what it is now. Container homes are something that have intrigued and interested my husband and I. Something we have thought about doing later in our lives. So he found this for our anniversary weekend. Y'all, he started making plans for our own container home the night we checked in. Lol. It is so beautiful, and clean, and smells amazing with the cedar. I spent a lot of my time, when not going places, on the bottom patio, it's gorgeous! The patio on top of the container is beautiful as well. Beautiful scenery. My early bird husband checked out the trails in the early mornings when I was still sleeping. And he said the trails were great. It stayed nice and cool on the home with the Mr Cool system. The bed was so comfortable. The decor or beautiful and I love the fridge look.

French Lick is a quaint town with loads of attractions for all! I love that you can find an activity for any season. The best part of this property is that it is quietly tucked away and peaceful yet close enough for quick access to town and Patoka Lake. There are lots of inviting and delicious restaurants nearby but the fully equipped kitchen allows home cooking if your looking to stay in.
