Surrounded by lush forests and scenic landscapes, The Norwegian Wood Cabin offers peaceful and calm surroundings. Explore the trails of Zalaski State Forest, where you can hike, bike, and immerse yourself in nature. A short drive will take you to Lake Hope State Park, a haven for boating, fishing, and swimming. Visit the Lake Hope Dining Lodge for dining with a lake view! On the sourthern fringe of the Hocking Hills Region, you are less than 30 minutes away from Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Old Mans Cave, Rock House, John Glenn Astronomy Park, and more. You may simply want to stay put and grill out on the deck or enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch and watch the sunrise. Should you find yourself not wanting to leave the cabin, there are plenty of amenities to keep you occupied and entertained.

We had the best long weekend at this cabin. It was clean, spacious, private and cozy. The kitchen came equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals. The hot tub was a highlight for our kids. The host was super responsive. We plan to book again in the future!

The house was clean and conveniently located to Hock Hills State Park. It was also nice to come home and use the hot tub at the end of each day! The host also communicated well with us.

The house is very warm and welcoming. My husband and son loved playing pool in the game room. We loved the open kitchen with all of amenities. The walk-in shower was perfect after a day of hiking. The house is conveniently located to multiple parks in the area - Zaleski Forest, Hocking Hills, Lake Hope, and Lake Alma. The area is also very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were quick to respond if I had a question. I highly recommend this lovely cabin and hope to return soon.

We were in the area for a family wedding at a venue nearby. This charming home fit all of our needs and more. The house was adorable, clean and well appointed with everything we could have needed. Beds were comfy and well appointed all slept well. We grilled out, enjoyed sitting on the porch visiting and spent a lot of time in the hot tub unwinding at the end of the day. Thank you for opening your home to us…it was wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay! This was the cleanest property that I have ever rented- the kitchen, bathroom, living areas, even hot tub were all immaculately clean. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and we definitely appreciated the charging stations for our phones. We made great use of the pool table and hot tub. The host was friendly, communicative, and kind. I would 100% recommend this cabin!

We personally tend to the hot tub service ourselves and have enlisted a very good cleaning contractor who is a small, family owned operator. We do a little more than check the boxes! Highly Recommend this home to stay in for your Vacation. My only recommendation would be to take your alarm clock, as we couldn't locate one. Everything was so very clean and well kept. The kitchen is a HUGE bonus and having the Pool Table & Table games is a added HUGE Bonus! Other than that, get to booking here & go enjoy your vacation in this absolutely beautiful cabin

We loved our stay! Very clean & house had everything we needed. We brought our own coffee pods because we saw there was a keurig and although we didn’t use the hosts coffee, I loved that it was available. We enjoyed the hot tub and the used the pool table a lot. Thank you for sharing your home!

Overall ok but a few things to mention that can improve. Cabin was very dusty and some spider webs when we got there. Also, only 1 washcloth per person for entire 3 day trip. There was only 1 hand towels for kitchen. Very, very little water pressure in shower. Lighting overall in house could be better. There are alot of windows with blinds to open for natural lighting but with the 95 degree temperature, we really wanted to keep them closed so improved lighting would have been a plus. On the bright side, a/c kept up with humidity and heat which was good. Plenty of room for 3 adults. Pool table and hot tub were fine.

Thank you for your feedback. We will have our cleaners focus on the dusty areas and make a point to check those areas for future guests. We do provide one washcloth per guest for the stay, however we provide a washer and dryer with washer pods for guests to use if they prefer. This was a very hot week and we understand that the lighting is more geared toward natural light in daytime. We value your comments and we are glad that you enjoyed the game room and the hot tub.

Cozy Cabin!

We had a wonderful time relaxing in this cabin. It was really clean and had everything a family could want. The hot tub was extra nice after a few long days of hiking! Comfy beds along with full kitchen to prepare anything youd like.

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we'd found something special. The photos online simply couldn't capture how beautiful and inviting the cabin really was. It immediately felt like a place where memories would be made.After long days spent hiking, coming back to comfortable beds, soaking in the hot tub, and relaxing in the jacuzzi was exactly what we needed. The pool table and arcade games kept everyone entertained, making the cabin just as enjoyable as our outdoor adventures. With plenty of seating and space, our party of five never felt crowded, and the loft was especially spacious and perfect for unwinding.One of our favorite parts of the stay was simply slowing down. We loved watching the bunnies hop around outside while taking in the peaceful scenery. Sitting on the porch, listening to the gentle sound of the water fountains, was incredibly relaxing. Even though the rainy weather kept us from enjoying the beautiful fire pit, it just gave us another reason to come back.Our host was wonderful—responsive, thoughtful, and even checked in to make sure everything was going well. This was a perfect spot for a long weekend with my family. It was close to hocking hill and had many features that my family really enjoyed when we were not hiking. The hot tub was the perfect spot to relax after a day of hiking. The fire pit was perfect for making smores and making memories together. Truly enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely be returning.

Excellent spot for a get away. If you wanted to get in the Hocking area but without the Hocking chaos, this is the area. We could have easily commuted to some of the iconic Hocking landmarks, and that might be a good idea for you. As for my family, with the age of our kids, Lake Hope and its beach and trail system was plenty for us. The bumpy unpaved backroads to the Moonville tunnel was a lot for our minivan, but great fun for the kids. McArthur provided all we needed for supplies and groceries, even as very small town. You just need to not expect to see a Whole Foods or a Starbucks. Enjoy the local places. Also, the Lake Hope dining lodge was truly excellent. The brisket was amazing. The cabin itself was excellent. It was clean, and had many amenities we appreciated. The Monopoly, Uno, and Packman games were well loved, and we were never wanting when it came to utensils, pots and pans. The addition of a piano might have just been a decoration for most, but my young pianist was thrilled. It was also great to have for our Family worship. Finally, as family in a major metro area, it was truly special to stay up late, turn out the lights, and just enjoy the quiet night and see more stars than our light polluted home town could ever manage. Thanks for the excellent mini-cation.
