THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Deerborn Haven sits among the pines in Pine Mountain Lake, a private residential lake community where mornings are quiet, deer wander through and you can enjoy a full vacation day without leaving the gates.

PINE MOUNTAIN LAKE

THE LAKE

Lake Lodge is our closest beach and our favorite for a quieter lake day. It has easy parking, a designated swimming area, floating dock, BBQs and a playground beside the sand. Our two paddleboards can also be arranged through our concierge and placed there before you arrive.

The Main Marina has a livelier summer atmosphere, with a sandy beach, picnic areas, volleyball, bocce and seasonal boat and kayak rentals.

GOLF, SWIMMING AND HIKING

The championship golf course is approximately 10 minutes from the house and is open to the public. It includes an 18-hole course, driving range, pro shop and lessons, with The Grill nearby for lunch or dinner overlooking the fairways.

The community swimming pool offers an alternative to the lake and is typically open from noon to 9 PM between May and October. Seasonal schedules and guest-access rules should be confirmed before your stay.

Big Creek Trail is approximately five minutes from Deerborn Haven and offers a shaded dirt path beside the creek. Additional walking and hiking trails run throughout Pine Mountain Lake, all within the gates.

AROUND DEERBORN HAVEN

The house sits on a peaceful circle that is easy to walk with children or dogs. Pines line the route, and there is usually a deer or two along the way.

GROVELAND

Downtown Groveland is approximately 10 minutes away. This small Gold Rush town has a grocery store, cafés, restaurants, ice cream, local shops and the historic Iron Door Saloon.

YOSEMITE

Yosemite’s Big Oak Flat entrance is 33 scenic miles away, approximately 45 minutes by car. Allow around 90 minutes to reach Yosemite Valley, including El Capitan and the major waterfalls.

Most guests leave early for Yosemite, then return to Deerborn Haven for dinner, the hot tub, sauna, and an evening beneath the pines.

Spend time in the pines by the lake at Deerborn Haven, your spacious mountain retreat just 33 scenic miles (45 minutes) from Yosemite’s Big Oak Flat Entrance, one of the closest and easiest ways into the park year-round. Experience the waterfalls. For families, everything is set up to make life easy. Kids stay happily entertained with the trampoline, foosball table, play structure, and a big selection of games and toys, while you actually get time to relax.

Upon arrival at the gated community, the Pine Mountain Lake gatehouse collects a $50 per-vehicle entrance pass, valid for seven days and providing guest access to this peaceful, gated community.

• Gate access: $50 per car (paid at gate). Send driver names in advance for easy entry

• No parties or events. Smoke-free home
• Water: Water is very expensive in our area—thank you for being mindful and conserving during your stay
• Dogs: $85 per stay. Small to medium dogs welcome
Kindly brush before arrival, keep pets off furniture and upstairs, and pick up after them
• Sauna: Use at your own risk. Please sit on a towel, avoid touching the heater, and enjoy in 1-hour sessions
• Hot Tub: Use at your own risk. Please shower before use. Children must be supervised at all times and must be potty-trained. Please close the cover after use to keep it clean and warm
• Trampoline: One at a time, no flips—use at your own risk
• Guests: Registered guests only—check with us before adding anyone
• Early check-in / late check-out: Available when possible with a small additional charge, please request in advance
• Vehicles: No RVs/trailers. No EV charging on-site
