Create the perfect vacation while relaxing in our clean, comfortable, beachfront condo. We are pleased to share our vacation home offering casual beach living on the Gulf. Island Sands is located on the quieter west end of Okaloosa Island. A wide variety of restaurants, entertainment and shopping are nearby.

The views of the white sand and surf from sunrise to every marvelous sunset are spectacular, From the balcony or on the beach you will have endless opportunities to enjoy them.

Our complex has just 27 units and an uncrowded beach. Two complmentary each chairs and an umbrella are set up each day between March 1 and October 31, for our guests. Enjoy a long walk on the pristine white sand beach next to emerald waters. Build a sandcastle, read a book. Kayaks and paddle boards are available to rent.

With a short trip into Destin you can find zip lines, enjoy a pub, rent a boat, golf, or take a fishing charter. Your vacation at your speed.

Island Sands #208 has a private entrance up one flight of stairs. No crowded lobbies and elevators. The condo layout at Island Sands is terrific with a large living room open to the full kitchen. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and an attached half-bath. A full bathroom is located between the kitchen and bedroom. Both bathrooms were recenty udated. There is a queen-size sleeper couch in the living room. TVs in the living room and bedroom feature Smart TV flat screens with cable and wi-fi.

A well-stocked kitchen is available for those who want to eat in. There is also an in-unit washer and dryer. Grills and a bike rack for guest use are located near the pool. Bath and kitchen towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

Okaloosa Island is famous for its white sugar sand beaches, emerald green waters, and many attractions. Nearby Destin is widely known as the 'world's luckiest fishing village'. Enjoy our bit of paradise inside, outside, or on the balcony. We fell in love with Island Sands a few years ago and are sure you will too. We always have a fantastic trip when we vacation at the beach and visit Destin. Come see the beautiful island for your first time or return over and over again. It is always a good time!

The unit was clean, comfortable and exactly what we were looking for on the beach. The host was very communicative and quick to respond from booking to arrival and departure. Loved the 2nd floor view of the beach and starting my morning with a cup of coffee on the balcony. Having beach service each day was a definite plus!If you have mobility issues the stairs to the unit and beach might be a concern, but for us it was perfect and we look forward to a chance to stay again!

Great location , easy parking ,great access to the beach spacious living room area and a fantastic view of the ocean. It also has a nice bedroom fan which we were used to having in her own home . Our host Judith was very kind and pleasant to talk to. The place was very clean when we arrived as well.

Location is awesome. Right on the beach and chair service included. It is in a quieter area and less traffic than in Destin proper. Condo is clean, comfortable bed, and nice to have washer and dryer in unit. Love the option of renting one or two condos next door depending on number of family members. Host is great with communication if needed. We will return!

The proximity to the beach and convenience of the pool/grill area made it an extremely family friendly stay. We flew in from Indiana and chose to rideshare rather than try to find a rental car, which proved to be ideal as well, in approximity to Miracle Strip Pkwy. We had a small crew of three and it was ideal for us. Best part is the ocean view stepping through the front door and getting acquainted with our hosts!

We had a beautiful stay at this cozy one bedroom condo. The view from the second story balcony was gorgeous. The kitchen was well appointed, updated bathrooms were very nice. Beach chair service was the best part for us. The small building size meant we didn't have to take our towels down early in the morning. We had a front row seat everyday. The pool area had plenty of seating. The only drawback was the lack of a paved walkway around the building to the beach access bridge.

Part of the reason that we purchased at this facility is the smaller community. Now that the external construction has been completed, the board is working on improving/repairing the grounds. Perfect place to getaway & relax & celebrate our birthdays & anniversary with a special touch from our host Judi & John (Thank you!) Very easy check in & communication with the host was very prompt. The property was very neat and tidy! Updated appliances with ice maker, plenty of dishes for cooking & eating in if you choose. They provide what you need to start your stay such as a couple dish & laundry pods etc. Location of the property is perfect! Just a few steps and you’re walking on the sugar sand to the beach chairs and umbrella service! There are some great restaurants close by & grocery store. We enjoyed spectacular views of the beautiful gulf from the balcony and also through the large slider door. Comfortable sofa & chair & I liked having the option of eating at the table or bar/island area. Nicely decorated with a surf theme! There’s no bust elevator to wait on just a few steps to the doorstep! Plenty of closet space with plenty of hangers and drawer space for clothing. I highly recommend this beautiful space for vacation and will definitely stay again! Thank you for sharing your beach home with us! We will be back!

We had an incredible time at this condo! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were super comfy, and the view was absolutely stunning. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly, making the entire process smooth from check-in to check-out. The location was perfect — close to local attractions, restaurants, and the beach. We can’t wait to come back and would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The location was fantastic, the view was beautiful, and I especially loved the balcony. Overall, I loved almost everything about the property.A couple of small downsides: there was no elevator, which normally wouldn’t be a huge deal, but since I had a sprained ankle and a heavy suitcase, it made things a little tough. The toilet paper was honestly the worst—felt like wiping with copy paper—and the toilets could have been a bit cleaner.On the positive side, the floors were surprisingly very clean (which isn’t always the case at beach properties where sand gets everywhere), and there were so many other great things about the place that the minor negatives really didn’t overshadow my stay.I’d definitely recommend it and would stay again!

I think possibly the toilets got scratched. We will replace the toilets over this coming off-season based on our observations and your input. The input and overall high rating are both apprecaited.
