Charming Lake Whitney Retreat—Family Getaway or Fishing Trip Near Waco & Clifton

Covered parking! So much space for a peaceful lake vacation any time of year! Anchor Cottage is just a 5 minute walk from Lake Whitney. Experience an incredible view of the Whitney Dam just a short stroll from the front door. Plenty of space for a guys fishing weekend or family getaway. Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty to do.

The space:
Anchor Cottage is a well thought out lake house with lots of room. There's plenty of parking (some covered) for a boat and a wrap around deck. Inside the front door is our awesome living room perfect for family movie night or playing board games at the large adjoining kitchen table. Down the hallway is a full bathroom and large bedroom with two full beds. Continue on to another bedroom with an awesome king size bed. Through that room is the last bedroom with a comfy queen bed and an attached bathroom with full laundry facilities.

Anchor Cottage is set up with everyone in mind! Families with kids, couples, and groups of friends will all enjoy a stay here. Plus you can't beat the neighborhood any time of year.

Guest access:
You're welcome to the entire space. We only lock one closet inside and the shed out back. Feel free to set the temperature to whatever you want on the smart thermostat. Our co-hosts live close by. Please don't hesitate to reach out to them for anything.

We do not allow EV charging, crypto mining, or disposal of non-household trash.

Other things to note:
We think this home is so peaceful and relaxing. We sure want you to feel that way when you're here.

We do charge a small additional cleaning fee for pets.

Neighborhood highlights:
Laguna Park is really magical. It’s a Texas lake community for sure! We want this to be a memorable getaway regardless if you’re a traveling professional, couple on a romantic weekend, or a vacationing family.

We are conveniently about 30-40min to downtown Waco and 20min from the airport. Laguna Park is about 15 min from Clifton, the Norwegian capital of Texas with the states oldest operating movie theater. We are 10min from the Sports Ranch.

There is a full marina and resort in the neighborhood with boat ramps and slips available for a fee. There are several USACE parks nearby, some with free boat ramps.

Our co-hosts live close by and describe their neighborhood as conveniently inconvenient. If you’re coming for a Baylor game, to visit the Silos, or the BBQ cookoff in Meridian, Laguna Park is a great retreat to come escape to.

Getting around:
There is ample parking for lake toys and extra vehicles. Boat rentals are available in the neighborhood. Laguna Park is a “golf cart community”. We’re happy to suggest where to rent a cart.
