Our stay at Islanda Wind East

It was nice, kitchen was a little small, but we made do. We plan on booking here again!

Great location!

The condo was a little small for 4 people (my husband and I and 2 kids. But we were able to look past that with the perfect location and breathtaking views! The kitchen was fully stocked for us to do breakfast and lunch and the condo was with in walking distance to some amazing places for dinner! Not to mention less than 2 mins to the pool and beach! Will definitely book again!

Gulf Shores first time

Came to Jay Florida to visit a Grandchild and came to spend a few days at Gulf Shores. Island Winds was a wonderful place to spend our time.

Perfect view

This was better than I had expected. Though it was an older property, it was well-maintained, well-equipped (had everything we needed), and the PERFECT beach location. I would definitely stay there again.

A very relaxing time.

The toilet was too short, there needs to be some shade at in pool area and the balcony needs a privacy wall between the units. Location is great🤗

Wonderful experience

The condo has a beautiful view of the beach. The grills were clean and perfect. It is home away from home. We will definitely stay here again!!

Amazing view

Last minute quick trip to the beach. Check in easy and early. Third floor, view was amazing. Condo was perfect for the 2 of us. Very convenient to everything. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect place

This place is exactly as described. You are right on the beach with the pool below. I believe the pool is heated (it felt great the one time we got in to it). The kitchen is stocked. The bed is comfortable. All in all, we’d definitely stay here again. And hopefully, should we go to Gulf Shores again, the weather will be as perfect as this place

The condo was in a nice location. It could use some dark shades in the bedroom for us late sleepers. Overall a satisfying experience. Somewhat pricey though.

It truly was a wonderful trip for us both

Bedroom window too bright at night. Blackout curtains would be grreat. Other than that it was perfect place. Super friendly staff & very clean too. Really enjoyed the trip & will be back again.

Family Vacation

We had a blast. Our family consisted of 2 children between the ages of 12-14. It was very well located to get to the other fun stuff that was really close. We loved being right on the beach. There was two pools but the one that we would use was only open the first night we were there then it was closed the next 3 nights. Other than that we had an awesome time and will most definitely like to stay again.

Beautiful View.

The total property was extremely clean. All the folks that worked there were very friendly and helpful. The location is close to a ton of restaurants and shopping. Our view of the ocean would be hard to match, it was awesome. Access to the pool and the ocean was extremely easy as well. The only issue we had was the bed was very firm, so somewhat uncomfortable. The cooking pans could be upgraded. Again we had a great time and look to return soon.

Good location

The bedroom definitely needs a blackout curtain. Lights in hall and by elevator light up bedroom. Had trouble sleeping A smell in unit when we arrived. My husband found black fuzzy mold all over in the toilet tank. Had to have been there for sometime. Maintenance cleaned it next day. Said it was housekeeping responsibility Following day day maintenance arrived saying water was leaking on ceiling below us. Part on toilet needed to be replaced We think it broke when mold was getting clean up. Didn’t have a toilet until early evening Would like a discount. Wasn’t a great stay

Bedroom inside the front door.

The bedroom is immediately to your left as you walk in & has no door. The bedroom window had no darkening shades/curtains and faced out to the walkway that stayed brightly lit all night. Also no counter space in the outdated small bathroom. Just a pedestal sink. The entire unit is much smaller than the pictures seem to show. The balcony could really use a small table to be able to set food/drink on. On a positive note, the staff was nice and they seemed to work hard to keep the property clean. Good location & easy walk to beach.

As described. It is fine for two people. Could use a little updating. But if you are looking for a bed, bath, and balcony to drink your coffee in the morning while looking onto the beach. This is all you need. It is right off the elevator which I liked….

Needs updating

We would never rent this condo again because of not having a door to the bedroom. This is a real problem if one person wants to go in kitchen and/or living room area and turn on the lights. Our friends stayed in a condo the same size on the 4th floor. It was much nicer. It had a door for the bedroom. Their bath had been redone with a tiled shower and the kitchen/living area was much nicer with new furnishings. We will never stay in this particular building again because there is no restroom on ground floor. You have to come up from the ocean or pool and go up to your condo to use a restroom. In all our travels we have never stayed anywhere that did not have facilities on the ground level. This is very inconvenient. I will be sure to check this out in future rentals.

Wonderful view!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was just the right size for the 3 of us. I would recommend for a family of 3-4.We enjoyed sipping our morning coffee while enjoying the amazing view of the ocean. The property was very clean and close to the Hang out , Bahama Bob's and many shops! We definitley will stay here again. Kim Hobson
