Condo is very well appointed, comfortable, nicely decorated & welcoming to both people & dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would return. Also loved direct ocean front location for beach walking alongside Freeman Park beach which was uninhabited, beautiful & peaceful.Our host was very accessible & accommodating.

This was a dream property. It had all the amenities you could possibly imagine. Everything was labeled with its proper place. The view of the ocean was gorgeous and right outside the condo. The host was very responsive.

This little condo on the beach is simply stunning! It was clean, quiet and had any and everything you could possibly need and then some! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay. This is the first of hopefully many future visits! James is a fantastic host! Our pupper Ranger also found it quite comfortable! Thanks again!

The owner James is beyond responsive! Very helpful in all facet’s of our booking and stay. A little bit higher in price ( not a great amount -maybe 15% higher than other properties here but well worth it , especially for the traveler who wants a GREAT place to stay and feel at home! My wife and I are already booking for next year! Stay here! You’ll love it!

We had such a wonderful stay! The condo is absolutely gorgeous, incredibly comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need. The views are spectacular, and we loved sitting on the balcony listening to the waves crash on the shore.There were so many thoughtful little touches that made the stay feel special—from dog blankets and a few snacks waiting for us to coffee and other conveniences throughout the condo. We especially enjoyed early morning and evening walks on the beach and cooking fresh seafood we picked up from a local seafood market.But the real star of the show is the owner. He is incredibly knowledgeable, communicated beautifully before and during our stay, and even checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and has put so much thought into making the condo feel welcoming.Beautiful condo, incredible views, perfect location, and an exceptional host. We would absolutely stay here again.

My husband, me and our dog stayed 4 days during Memorial Day and it was just perfect! Beautiful oceanfront place! Few steps to the beach and close to restaurants, groceries , etc,The master bedroom has an open ocean view and the balcony is a plus ! The place has everything you need.Decoration , appliances are updated James was an excellent hostess! He really took care about every single detail to make our stay a pleasure. My first comment walking in was how impressed I was with the cleanliness! Host was communicative and checked in on us half way through the trip to make sure we had what we needed. I appreciated the location, being on the end near the pier - the amount of people on the beach was minimal and the beach was very dog friendly. We saw many other dogs enjoying beach days as well. There is a beach access directly on the side of the building so it was very easy to get on and off the beach. Lastly, we could hear the ocean with the doors or windows open which was what I looked for.

Bear's Beachfront is amazing! James is probably the best host I've ever encountered - very friendly and communicative. The space is phenomenal - very classy, yet comfortable. And the views are perfect for dolphin sightings. The windows/views, dog-friendly aspects, treats waiting for us and our pups, the fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, cleanliness, and overall peace of this space is wonderful... we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. The unit is beautifully maintained, very clean, and thoughtfully stocked with high-quality amenities. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals comfortably. It was also very accommodating for our dog, which made traveling with a pet easy and stress-free. Beach access is incredibly convenient (just steps away) and the ocean views are fantastic. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This condo was everything we wanted and more! It was just my husband and I along with our mini golden doodle. They have food bowls set up for the fur babies so you don’t have to pack any. Also the views from the deck are awesome. The condo is very spacious for a couple as well as cozy. The hosts were also very accommodating for any if my questions. We will definitely try and stay here again if are in the area. You will not find anywhere to rent that is this clean. Even the windows were clean and I’m sure that has to be hard being in salt weather.

Luxury is spot on! This place has everything you need and feels like you’re staying at a 5 star resort with your own private view of the waves. I’ve been hesitant to bring my dog on past trips and this unit is perfect. The dog blankets provided made her feel comfortable and she loved hanging on the balcony with us. The owner was also responsive and location was excellent. We walked to the pier daily. We will certainly return!

Bears Beachfront was literally perfect! All brand new and finished with comfort and class. The kitchen holds a cute coffee bar which was fully stocked with many different options and you are left with a welcoming basket of snacks. You will have all the small appliances one could need in addition to the well stocked and organized kitchen ready for prepping meals, cooking and enjoying a glass of wine. I was incredibly excited to see the fresh unopened sponge ready upon our arrival! (LOL- I mean this does not always happen in rentals)! The shower is spacious and fabulous and the bed was comfortable and inviting! The living room space is pretty and if needed holds a sleeper sofa. There is little to no sound coming from other units and the view is special. My husband and I have been coming to the area for years and this was one of our favorite condo rentals. Very close to all the area things! You will not be disappointed- James and Cindy thank you for your space and making our much needed respite cozy and peaceful!

We absolutely loved our stay! The condo was exactly as described and had a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, with plenty of pillows, and the shower had great water pressure and was spacious enough for two people easily, if desired.The bidet was a first experience for me—LOL! I never thought I’d say this, but now I want to put one in my own house! My husband and I were able to celebrate our 9th Anniversary here, and we truly had the most peaceful, relaxing week. The beautiful oceanfront view, quiet atmosphere, and overall serenity were exactly what we needed.James was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond by leaving us a bottle of wine as an anniversary gift. Such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special! We will definitely be coming back again! I highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a beautiful place to rest, relax, recharge, and enjoy some much-needed serenity right by the ocean.

We had a fantastic stay at this beachfront condo in Carolina Beach in Wilmington, North Carolina! The ocean view was absolutely stunning—waking up each morning and enjoying coffee on the balcony while overlooking the water was one of the highlights of our trip.The condo was exceptionally clean and clearly well-maintained. We especially appreciated the recent renovations, which gave the entire space a fresh, modern feel. The upgraded appliances made meal preparation easy and convenient, and the beautifully updated showers and bathroom amenities felt like a luxury resort experience.The location couldn't have been better. We were just steps from the beach and close to local restaurants, shops, and attractions, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer.As dog owners, we were thrilled to find such a welcoming pet-friendly property. It can be difficult to find a beachfront rental that accommodates pets so comfortably, and our dog loved being able to join us on vacation.Overall, this condo exceeded our expectations in every way. Between the breathtaking ocean views, spotless accommodations, modern upgrades, ideal location, and dog-friendly atmosphere, we would highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future.

We're James and Cindy - your hosts at Bear’s Beachfront. While Cindy helps bring the vision to life, you’ll mostly hear from James. He’s the one making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and that you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

Cindy is originally from South Africa and spent years as a flight attendant for Emirates. After a career spent serving travelers around the world, it’s been a joy for her to bring that same level of care and hospitality to our guests here on the Carolina coast.

This isn’t our first listing - we’ve been hosting for a few years now and are so grateful for the kind guests and wonderful experiences we've had. That journey inspired us to take on Bear’s Beachfront, and we’ve poured just as much heart into making it a special retreat.

We chose this neighborhood because it’s not just a place we love - it’s a place we’ve lived. It’s one of our favorite areas on the island, and it holds a special place in our hearts. Tucked away on the peaceful north end of Carolina Beach, it offers a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk, while still being just a short drive or bike ride away if you want to explore.

This part of the island is known for its scenic walks, peaceful fishing spots, and daily dolphin sightings right from the shore - things we never stopped appreciating during our time living here. It’s the kind of place where you can truly slow down, soak up the salt air, and reconnect with nature and the people around you.

We feel incredibly blessed to be able to share this special corner of the island with our guests and hope you’ll come to love it as much as we do.

What makes our condo truly unique is the care and intention behind every detail. This wasn’t just a quick flip - we spent months renovating the space from top to bottom, thoughtfully designing each corner with our future guests in mind. From the layout to the finishes, everything was chosen to create a calm, beautiful, and functional retreat by the sea.

A fun fact: we even soundproofed the living room ceiling to help make your stay extra relaxing - because we know that quality rest matters just as much as location.

We wanted to bring the outdoors in, so you'll notice coastal tones, natural textures, and spaces that invite you to slow down and soak in the view. Whether it’s sipping coffee on the porch while watching for dolphins or curling up by the fireplace after a beach day, this condo was built to make those moments memorable.

We know how important holidays and getaways are. That’s why we went all out - to create a space that feels just as special as the memories you’ll make here.
