The location is excellent. Easy walk to the main downtown area. The house does not have a living room and the kitchen is very small and there is no room to sit at the table to eat or play games. The shelving has mold in the kitchen and there are cobwebs and dust on the floor. The beds are comfortable. The entry keypad is difficult to work.

Charming two bedroom cottage, walking distance to everything. Just as advertised. Literally, just across the street to Dixie Saloon, Sheplers ferry and all of down town. Clean, comfortable cozy cottage with new stove, coffee and well stocked linens. Large yard to sit and relax or toss beanbags if you brought them. We were thrilled with this gem and will book again. If there was anything to complain about: 1. Checking in- housekeeper said it wasn't ready at 4 and she needed time - not an issue for us, we were hungry and just walked to Dixie Saloon for dinner. 2. Noise in alley behind cottage- pancake chef restaurant employees take breaks in the alley and delivery/ garbage truck pickups etc. But neither of these are controlled by owner and both are minimal issues for the cost. Great spot family or couples. Would 100% recommend to friends.

This property is in a great location if you are thinking of going to mackanic island Its also within walking distance of restaurants and shoppingON THE OTHER HANDIT IS IN AN AWFULL LOCATIONIT SITS IN FRONT OF KEYHOLE BAR AND GRILLYOU HAVE NOISE RIGHT BY YOUR BEDROOM WINDOWLOUD MUSIC SCREAMING PEOPLE ANDTHEN TO TOP IT ALL OF THEY GET DELIVERY AT 5.30 AMA LOUD TRUCK SITS BASICLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR BEDROOM WINDOW RUNNING WITH A VERY LOUD ENGINEAND PEOPLE SCREAMING TO ONE ANOTHER ,BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT HEAR EACH OTHER OVER THE SOUND OF THE TRUCKThe refrigerator is tinyHolds nothing bigAnd you get a second even more tiny fridge in the bedroom that has a door!!Second bedroom has no doorTV is all taped upThere are hardly any wall socketsThere for what there is is overloaded sockets scarry The Bedrooms are tightHard to walk besides the bedBathroom is tinyAnd gets super hotBecause there is no ventalation at allOnly posetieve thing about the bathroomIs the shower headBottom of shower was not only dirtyStained upIt also moved when you stepped in and out of the showerThere is no livingroom No hang out placeHated that

Unit had not been cleaned when we arrived to check-in. It was late and the host did not respond for an hour. By that time, we had booked another room for the night. Host did not respond to request to return compensation.Unit is in a very run-down, possibly abandoned, road-side motel. The unit itself has very little space. You can find much better lodging close by for much cheaper pricing.

We booked this place back in February. Got a decent rate on it. We're supposed to check in at 4:00 didn't get to go in there until 20 after 4:00 because of the cleaning crew. The hostess called me a liar about it and then didn't answer me the rest of the week. We had no TV even though it says there was two TVs neither one of them worked. The amenities of a pool and hot tub are not on the premises you have to go down the road to another motel!!! The place is moldy and falling apart!The only positive thing I can say about this place is it's a good location if you want to explore Mackinaw City. Because everything is in walking distance

Amazing location, right next to Island Ferry and shops

We needed a nice economical option for our family on a road trip and this was a great fit. Seems very newly built though the structure is older. Basic amenities and needs covered.

This was all around bad nothing as was described. No heat when we arrived which was fixed. No tv was working the shower didn’t work so no showers for us to use , no toliet paper given either who wants to go get toilet paper on vacation. There’s no host to communicate with. The place was dirty all around live bugs all over inside just gross. People around us all had issues also. Overall not a good experience. Would like a partial refund not sure how to go about that.

I don't think the location could get any better! Right downtown behind the shops, right next to the bakery and coffee shop. This was the perfect little cabin to stay at. Nice and clean, two AC units that kept it nice and cool. We would definitely plan to stay here again. We also had access to a pool which was a huge hit with my kids.

Weekend Stay

The inside of the property was cute. Bathroom cabinets and kitchen could use updating. The hot water barely worked, and the heat did not work. Nights were chilly. The outside of the property needs major cleanup. Great location!

The location was ideal to explore upper Michigan, lower Michigan and of course the Island via ferry. The cabin was clean and appealing with the woodwork walls and comfortable beds. I couldn't get hot water out of either sink, but the shower provided it. The kitchen could use bowls (for soup) and perhaps a knife to prep food. Otherwise it was a cabin adventure I expected. Thanks!

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay by the Mackinaw ferries then this is a good spot. It was clean when we got there and most things worked as should. The only things that did not work was the WiFi and the bathroom sink which wasn’t a big deal. There are definitely a few spiders and other bugs running around in there but it’s not bad at all. The keypad on the door is a little touchy and it takes some practice to get good at it. This cabin is also on the property of an old motel so it can be a little confusing finding it at first. I didn’t communicate much with the owner, but I didn’t really have to as all my needs were met. I would caution using this spot if you have more than 2 people because I can imagine it would get crowded. It’s a super small cabin with one bathroom so just keep that in mind. It is also right by an alley which gets noisy at night when shopkeepers are throwing trash out etc. The phone number that is on the listing should probably be updated because when I tried to call it said disconnected. This space could also maybe use an outdoor fire pit or somewhere to congregate outside because there really isn’t a spot for that. Overall it was a good stay and did the trick!

Says it's good for 4 people. Only 2 people can sit at the table. Only 1 room has a tv that kinda works but blacks out often. Only 1 room has a dresser for clothing and nowhere to hang up coats. Not impressed.

It was a lot smaller than expected. Wifi didnt work and neither tv would work. Messaged staff about it and they said they would send someone, but no one came. Location was very nice though.

2 of the windows did not lock, screens were ripped or missing, host did not reply to 2 separate phone calls from VRBO and 2 others since then, there was a loose board at the entrance, the stove was gross, there was no bedroom door on one of the bedrooms, we couldn't figure out the heater (it ended up getting extremely hot before we did), there was no hot water. In addition, VRBO has refused our request for a full refund.

When we got there we realized that the main heater wasn't working (either the thermostat or the heater itself), but there was a plug in heater in the bedroom. When I contacted the host about the issue, they never respond. On the 2nd night we discovered mice getting in through a loose brick on the outside of the cabin and getting in. The beds were comfortable and cozy, but some repairs should be made.

NO PRIVACY!!Bathroom door could not close because the door and frame did not match. First bedroom had no door. Second bedroom door would not close, then fell off. NO COMMON AREA, except for 4 foot by 9 foot kitchen area. Host has not tended to any of the other comments (TV turns on with options, but none of the options work, Internet not accessible, unclean kitchen.)No tub, shower only.GREAT LOCATION!! Newly renovated with exception of doors and kitchen. I will NEVER stay here again.

This place was so filthy that we did not even stay there and had to rent 2 hotel rooms!!! They will not give us a refund. It was grosse! There was no cleaning that was going to help the situation and should be inspected by the county and condemned!! I will never trust this site again!! I am turning in for fraud!!

Very run down home which was part of run down motel. Kitchen stove filthy. Didn’t trust using anything in the kitchen. No bedroom door in one bedroom. Bathroom door doesn’t close. No living room. Luckily the weather was nice so we were able to sit outside on step and on towels in grass. No response to multiple emails. Beds comfortable. On site housekeeper Warren saved the day with reassurance we would hear from manager by 3 PM on day of arrival for access to home. Glad we were able to see him the morning of arrival before boarding the ferry to the island.
