Excellent lake house trip for two families with kids. Clean house, nice amenities, plenty of space to spread out. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home on a quiet country road. Very peaceful. Had the whole family out and still had room. The boys enjoyed the pool table and skee ball machine. Sitting out on the deck listening to the wind rustling the leaves in the trees was very relaxing. Just a 3 minute walk to the beach. It’s a bit small for a large family like ours so we took the drive into town for the beach there. Kitchen was supplied with everything one would need. The host was quick to respond to any issue although we had none. Definitely would stay again.

The house was really neat. We had a large group of friends and family and there was tons of space for everyone. We loved the theater room, the game room and hot tub were great as well. The home was beautiful, we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property! We had hoped to have more time at the beach but the wildfire smoke kept us mostly indoors. We did however, visit the beach access and it was a nice area. Kitchen in the house was well stocked for cooking and theater room was a hit with the kids! The house was extremely clean. The outdoor furniture on the deck and the outdoor bar were covered in cobwebs and dead bugs to the point that we would have had to clean them ourselves in order to use them but because of the wildfire smoke that wasn’t something we pursued. The hot tub was clean and the kids enjoyed that a lot. There are a couple of chairs in the theater room that do not recline so that was a bummer and a few things in the kitchen that could use some repair (light over stove doesn’t work, garbage can foot pedal broken, gas stove not vented to outdoors and fan is weak) but overall we had a great experience and would stay here again.

Great - Our 2 night stay on Lake Huron was amazing. The property was pristine & very well stocked for a family of two (5 adults and 3 kids). Very well stocked linens, towels, and ample of beds for the entire family.Five minutes walk to almost a private beach like setting on Lake Huron, which was shallow for at least a mile, which was amazing for the kids.Very close to the harbor for stargazing and JetSki rentals that takes you to the famous turnip rock.The pool table and the the ball game were a hit in our family and the kids enjoyed it a lot.General feedback for owner & prospective renter for a 5 star experience: The pool table gets the job done, but it’s not for pro. keep that in mind if your entire family is a pool fan.You cannot walk across the house to the lake as that is private property. Our family ran into some issues with the hot water & hot tub on the first night, which was not pleasant, but we made up for it by spending a lot of time on the beach. Hot tub & hot water was great on 2nd day (our last day) The fire pit is great but does not have more than two steady chairs so if you have a big family, then you might wanna bring your own camping chairs.Overall a good place for Turnip rock 2 day trip & close to water & beach.

We loved our stay at the Lake House with our family of 8 adults and a toddler! The movie theater is probably the most unique feature in a VRBO that we have stayed in and was fantastic for our evening entertainment. Nice yard with a gorgeous fire pit, too.

Property lived up to the photos and was a great location for our writing group retreat. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and all the rooms were comfortable. We all enjoyed the hot tub and movie room. The neighborhood was quiet. We loved that it was super close to public access to the lake and enjoyed morning walks down to enjoy the sunrise. The host always communicated promptly and was super nice. The only thing I would add is that we could not find a first aid kit on the property (just needed some bandaids for a minor cut) so I would add that to any packing kit. Also, the main bedroom upstairs is beautiful but the French doors do not have curtains so if you have friends staying downstairs who are up late, you will have to ask them to turn off the chandelier and vaulted lights or have someone not light sensitive stay upstairs. Overall, really thought the house was beautiful and had great amenities.

This was a beautiful home and met the needs of myself and the five other guests that stayed here. The home was very clean and we loved the hot tub, movie theater and open concept kitchen for cooking and socializing together. But there were some things that could be improved upon. It would haven been helpful to be told to bring ice. The refrigerator had an ice maker and water dispenser but they are not hooked up. There is a small portable ice maker but it could not keep up between ice water and cocktails for 6 people. There is no where to hang your bath towels. In the main bathroom there was an obvious missing towel rack that had been pulled out of the wall.The closet doors were completely off the hinges to the laundry closet. To get to the washer and dryer one had to lift them and set them aside. Major pain.The outdoor cushions were wet and dirty. A storage container for them would probably solve the problem.There are no bedside lamps. I love to read before bed and that was a no go unless I used my phone flashlight. The picture of the lake in proximity to the home was a bit misleading. You really can’t see the lake from the home because of the trees. The access is a short walk down the road and if you are planning to kayak from there be prepared to carry them. It would have been nice to have a notebook with suggestions of what to do in the area. Port Huron is basically a ghost town after Labor Day. We met very nice locals, however, who were super helpful.

We are glad you enjoyed the home! Unfortunately the guest that checked out a few hours before you pulled the towel rack off the bathroom wall and also pulled the closet door off the track. Since you were checking in the same day we did not have time to have these fixed, we apologize for the inconvenience. There is a storage container for the cushions, but the previous guest did not put them in the container before the rain started. We have added lamps in the bedrooms, thank you for the suggestion 😊

Beautiful home with plenty of space for a large group. Kitchen has a filtered water tap at the sink. Very short drive to town and beach access was just a short walk. We had a great stay! Since the house is in a wooded area by a lake, be prepared to bring bug repellent if you want to spend time outside on the property.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house was spotless. Everything was exactly as described. There were great amenities and plentiful towels. Our kids really enjoyed the home theater, a really unique experience. The pool table was also a big hit. There’s a very spacious backyard with a lovely fire pit and bar seating area. Lots of room to run around and play ball and do art projects. It was really fun to have a water view and the beach access was an easy walk. Clean, fun, toys kept down there, empty except for our family, so very private. We had a large group of children and grandchildren and it was no one felt crowded. Definitely recommend!

Perfect for large gatherings! The home was clean, spacious, and ideal for our family vacation. It had plenty of room for everyone to relax and spend time together. The location was great it is close to Port Austin and all the area has to offer. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it to families or larger groups.
