This is so nice! Thank you, Elva. Jen does such an amazing job as the Caretaker for our home. She will be thrilled to read this. If you've never been to the Coast in the winter you should try to come back and see it. It's totally different with agates on the beach and whales migrating right in front of our front deck. Hope to see you soon! 🐋

This place was amazing. We were so happy. We spent two nights here with my elderly mother. It was very clean with a great location near the shops and restaurants and whale watching center. Very good Thai restaurant and Mexican food right there. It was close to the highway, but very quiet. The little residential neighborhood was darling. I only gave it three stars for property description because it is much nicer in person than it appears in the pictures. We will definitely stay here again. *** The whale watching from the platform above the garage was fantastic***
Living room with viewing deck
Public access with nice bench a few yards down the street
Viewing deck- we saw so many whales, and the harbor entrance with boats coming and going

The house is an older two bedroom, 1-3/4 bath. It is a charming little beach house with a great location. I will start by getting the unpleasantries out of the way. Despite the clean appearance of the house, there were ant traps on the windowsill of the kitchen window thankfully with no ants to be seen. Although, there were a lot of flies in each room. I killed many in my couple of days at the house, but always found more. This is the reason why my cleanliness rating is low. Though the house has charm, time has taken its toll despite remodeling. There are some areas that need work. That and some of the livingroom lamps and the DVD player wouldn't turn on. Then the main bathroom sink drain wouldn't open. This is why I also rated the daily value a little lower. The master bed was comfortable, and I imagine the guest bed was as well. My two younger children didn't complain about it, just about each other. The couch bed was described to me as "hard as a rock" by my oldest child. But, anyone who has ever slept on a couch bed knows it's a gamble wherever you go.Overall, despite the unfortunate downsides that I mentioned, I enjoyed the stay. The house was warm, inviting, and cozy. The view from atop the garage deck was amazing and if it were a bit warmer I would've likely spent more time up there.I would recommend this house for a night or two for anyone stopping in Depoe Bay.

Hi, Adam. Thank you for leaving us a review and for staying with us! Sorry about the ant traps. We get sugar ants this time of year up and down the coast. We'll add that to our listing description. We're glad your and your family had a nice time in Depoe Bay and at our beloved family home. Please come back any time!

Parking was a challenge. There was always someone parked on the yellow curb. Having fans or something for white noise to cover the construction noise would be helpful.

Thank you for staying with us, Sharon. Lot's of people come to see the resident whales in the Depoe Bay harbor so there are a few parking challenges for sure! We have a dedicated spot for our guests right in front of the garage. The temporary bridge construction above the harbor is frustrating we agree! Think how the whales feel 😉 We enjoyed hosting you!

We had a great stay in Depoe Bay. The home was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The location was right in the middle of town which was convenient, but also came with a bit of road noise. The close proximity to the ocean and the view from the deck were the highlights of this home.
