Luksuriøst, rustikt, privat feriehus med fantastisk udsigt.

Voyager Rest er ideelt placeret for at nyde den utrolige skønhed i det vilde vidunderlige West Virginia! Det ligger på en privat 7+ hektar stor del i Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge; specifikt inden for Old Timberline gated resort community. Det tilbyder komplet privatliv, men alligevel er der kun få minutter fra utallige udendørs aktiviteter. Ejendommens adresse er: 949 Sand Run Road, Davis, WV 26260.

Det indre af Voyager Rest er smukt færdig med antikviteter og samlerobjekter fra hele verden. Det er virkelig en af en slags. Det inkluderer en stor pejs i sten, egetræbjælker, antik hårdttræ og skifergulve, stenbrusere og bordplader af granit udstyret med håndlavet kobbervaske. To kajakker er tilgængelige for gæsterne; en ved hver sø (se orientering).

Magic of nature

We love this VRBO cabin so much that we’ve stayed multiple times. Its eclectic decor adds to the enjoyment of our stay. It has plenty of space for our family and is located near some of the most beautiful natural sites in the world. Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, etc. The views from the cabin are perfect for watching deer, sunsets, and enjoying nature.

Great location and beautiful unique cabin

This cabin was awesome and filled with unique treasures from the owner's world travels. The view was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make our meals. They even had hummingbird nectar and we filled the feeder and were able to see the hummingbirds a lot during our stay. We went fishing in the nearby Sand Run Lake and caught some bass. This was a great location since it was close to Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls State Parks.

Pictures don’t do justice!

You have to see it to truly appreciate it! This place will fill you with awe and motivation. The views, both in and out of the cabin, will make your mind wonder on and on. The place has everything you might need and the customer service, both from the owner, and from the staff, will make you feel like you’ve all been long time friends. I cannot recommend this place enough and I can’t wait to be back!

Fun even a second time

This was our second time at this property. This time we took our two boys. They loved it just as much as we did. The location is perfect for hiking during the day. And the house is perfect for enjoying each others' company in the evenings. The host has always been super helpful. My youngest son didnt want to leave and is making plans to return in the future.

Wonderful and unique!

We enjoyed the many unique items throughout the home collected by the owner through their travels. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and very private with wonderful views. Communication was a little lacking, but there were no major issues. We would definitely stay again!

Another Fantastic Stay

This home is so so special and we enjoyed another fantastic stay. Had great skiing weather a couple days, one day of rain but we played board games and enjoyed the hot tub. My 80 year old Mom slept till noon and I had to go wake her, the beds were so comfortable. Thanks again to Jim for such a fun place to take a wide range of people. We hated to leave!

Fantastic cabin with SO much character

My family and I loved this place. Location is just minutes from timberline, the cost was good and it had more character than any VRBO I've rented before. The views were top notch and the owner was very communicative. The pics do not do it justice. Would recommend to anyone and I can assure you we will be back

Amazing stay at Voyager Rest

Beautiful, secluded and comfortable home. Home was unique and decorated with treasurers from around the world. We only left to grab some dinner take-out in the town of David. Spent majority of our time watching movies next to a warm fire. Loved the surround sound and the large stone shower downstairs. Slept in the loft room-super comfy! We plan to return next year! Thank you Jim!

Great place to relax after a day of adventure

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) and my parents had a fantastic time at the house, Voyager Retreat. The home is beautiful, very well built, which was reassuring during a winter storm with strong winds, and cozy. The decor is eclectic and enjoyable. The home amenities were perfect for our group and kept in great condition. The location is fantastic, secluded with a great view but also convenient to the local resorts. Hopefully we can return to enjoy a different season as I’m sure the summer and fall would be amazing.

Tiny Castle in the Mountains…fit for a king

Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Or perhaps BECAUSE of the chilly weather? While we did get out to explore (Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks) during the sunny days, we slept in late each morning and returned in the afternoon to curl up by the fireplace with books and music. We cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined together “at home.” The beds were very comfortable and made with high quality linens. Showering was even a treat! The collections on display kept us entertained throughout our stay. I’m sure we didn’t take in everything over the three days. At night we relaxed in the hot tub, under the stars. We look forward to visiting again during a different season so we can see more of the local area.

Thanksgiving getaway

This place is spectacular! This is the 2nd time we have stayed at one jims cabins. And this time is snowed and it was just beautiful. Jim is so easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions! Highly recommend staying here!! Thank you. Can’t wait for o come back again. By far the best cabin we have stayed at.

Wonderful!!

The entire stay was fantastic! Voyagers Rest is a unique and beautiful place full of cozy treasures. It was well equipped with everything we needed to stay comfortably. Kitchen was full stocked with cooking essentials, beds were super comfortable and a soak in the hot tub was an amazing way to end the day! We enjoyed beautiful scenery, adventures hikes and plenty of family time and relaxation! We will definitely be back!!

A Perfect Getaway

Voyager Rest is a beautiful mountain retreat which possesses a timeless charm and a sense of privacy, peace and permanence that we loved.
