Most evenings we’d sit outside looking at the lake. We met the owners & their dogs, very friendly & helpful. House was very clean, we enjoyed our stay. Great location to hit the wineries.

Perfect for couples

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is an architectural masterpiece. Huge windows provide lots of light and great lake views. The steam room is wonderful and the kitchen had everything you need to cook most meals. The steam oven works very well for fish, but it is small. The house is sited well so you don’t see the owner’s home from the deck, even though it’s close. The television and sound system are great, although tthe single control for everything is not intuitive. I did suggest to Michael, the owner, that instructions would be very helpful. Don’t believe there’s anyway to stream music from a phone, which would be nice. Everything was very clean and plenty of towels/linens/blankets were available. Location is halfway between Traverse City and Suttons Bay and close to a parking lot on the TART trail if you’re biking.

One-of-a-Kind Experience

This home is exceptional. Quiet, beautiful views, and unique features that offer a one-of-a-kind experience. The location is perfectly situated between Traverse City and Sutton Bay, and offers easy access to area attractions such as Sleeping Bear Dunes. We enjoyed every minute.

Unique layout and amenities! Loved sitting out on the screened-in porch at night. (The bed doesn’t work to slide out there, but there are chairs.). Have to be able to do stairs as accessing the bedroom and bathrooms involve going up and down stairs. Enjoyed the jetted soaking tub! Beautiful grounds! Great location! Very friendly hosts!

I’m giving this a 5 star rating because it was a wonderful property and just as pictured and described. However there are a few things future renters need to keep in mind:There is no AC. This is mentioned in the listing, but it should be stressed that the home gets very warm during the day when outside temps are in the high 70’s. When we arrived (in August) it was 81 degrees in the home. Thankfully, it did cool down in the evenings, making for a good night’s sleep. However we were unable to spend as much time in the home as I hoped. Because of this, I don’t think this property is worth what we paid to stay there in August. The owners live in a home on the same property. This isn’t a huge issue as they are really lovely people, but it does tend to make the home you’re staying in feel slightly less private. Also, they have three dogs that have the run of the property. Before sliding the bed onto the porch, you MUST place two 4” rail sections over the threshold of the sliding door. Instructions left on the nightstand were unclear, so be sure and talk to the owners if you are unsure.Lastly, communication was a little tricky as there is a management company that communicate generically with you about your stay, but the owners also have info they want to share and encourage you to reach out to them which is nice. But we received a 4 pg doc before check in, plus two binders in the home we needed to read, which was a lot. We did get issues we had resolved though.

Amazing house and location

We spent a week at this property and there are not enough good things to say about it. The location was amazing, the house was extremely well stocked and clean and the views were breath taking. However, even more than that is the house itself. The pictures don't do this very cool property justice. It's beautiful as well as unique. We will definitely be back!

Unbelievable House & Environment

Staying at this house was like a dream for my wife and I. The mid-century modern architecture accentuates the beautiful surroundings with huge windows and balconies that overlook Lake Michigan. Very secluded yet only 15 minutes to Traverse City. And the Japanese soaking tub is as advertised!

Amazing house with beautiful view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay! The house is quite unique and beautiful. Floor to ceiling windows so you can enjoy outside even when you are in! It is quiet and you feel "away" even though you are only 7 or 8 miles from dining or shopping opportunities, and wineries are close! I have to say we were disappointed to find that the bed didn't rollout on the porch (mechanism broken), but opening those wide doors and letting all the fresh air come in through the screened porch was still great! Soaking tub felt wonderful and friendly dogs next door to greet you! We'd go back!

Beautiful, modern, house with a gorgeous lake setting!

This house is truly a piece of architecture. It was a beautiful place to visit. Albeit, we were, unfortunately, visiting during a heatwave. The house lacks A/C, but I carefully assumed we wouldn't need it visiting in late May. Boy was I ever wrong. No blame but to myself, but be mindful when booking if A/C is something essential.
