Our Sarasota Vacation

A wonderful location, close to beaches, downtown, restaurants and shopping. The house and neighborhood very quiet. House was well equipped and if we needed anything Brian was quick to bring it over. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place great hosts

We stayed here while horse showing at Terranova. The house was great and our hosts were awesome. It gave us all a chance to stay together, nicely stocked kitchen so we could eat in. Lots of space for teens to hang out away from the grown ups. It was a great trio

Quiet neighborhood, very well supplied.

We enjoyed our stay. Owner and his wife were especially nice and helpful. Comfortable arm chairs for watching TV, very well supplied with everything from linens to kitchen equipment. No complaints about anything - would recommend to others.

This vacation rental has the feel of home away from home

My family really enjoyed our stay here. The house is quite spacious, close to all the things you need, and great for the little ones we brought with and for enternaining. I was able to host Christmas dinner. Brian even left a Christmas tree for us to put up. He was a great host.

Great Location

House is close to stores, the beach, downtown and several dog friendly parks. We enjoyed the comfort of the bedrooms, Living room and enclosed porch. We did have a few small issues. The owner didn’t respond until we checked out.

Bad Communication

I rented the property as a place to evacuate as hurricane Ian approached Sarasota. I received a confirmation from VRBO of the reservation and an email of how to contact the owner. When I called the owner to get the keys, he informed me he had never received the reservation email from VRBO and that the property was not available to rent because of hurricane IAN. My credit card was charged for the entire stay and after two very long calls with VRBO’s customer service, they were not willing or able to issue a refund for the $840 charged to my credit card. I ended up having to have my credit card bank chargeback the $840 to VRBO because they did not provide the service I paid for.

The ideal place to stay

The house is in a great neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Lots of space, very comfortable and secure.

Centrally located, easy to access to the beach. 3 bedrooms and 2 bath rooms property was more than enough space for 4 adults. We really enjoyed hanging around Gulf Gate area where is about 5 minutes away from the property. Highly recommend

Great deal, good location!

The modest house is located at two minutes from the grocery stores and at 15 minutes away from Siesta Key Beach. The only default is the busy and loud main street located behind it. The AC and fans kept us cool and comfortable during our stay. We surely enjoyed the umbrella, cooler, beach towels, and beach chairs provided by the owners. We will be back!

Convenient

It was very convenient for my daughter's rowing race at Nathan Henderson Park. Also close to the beach. Grocery store right down the road. Older property but perfect for what we needed for the weekend.

Sarasota get a way

We had a very nice time in Sarasota. Property was close to beaches and lots to do in the area. We met owners, very pleasant and helpful with information on the area.

Very clean and well-equipped

This property worked out great for our needs. Plenty of space, everything was clean and well maintained. Probably the best equipped rental kitchen I have ever experienced in terms of dishes, pots, pans, etc. Nice backyard and relatively quiet neighborhood but not far from anything. I would definitely stay again.

The owners were very nice and kind, communication was on point. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood and just 15 minutes away from the beach. It has a big yard with BBQ grills (charcoal and gas) and a nice space to sit outdoors. It also has two terraces were you just can relax, you can use the cooler and beach chairs, the kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal and the rooms are comfortable. It has two bathrooms and a cozy livingroom. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Sarasota.

Pretty comfy stay in a good location for getting to stores, beaches and the interstate

We had a good time on our vacation and this property didn't take away from our experience. It cost us a bit more than I think it merited for the age and condition of the property (price almost doubled from the base rate, helped in part by some pretty hefty host fees, including a mystery "additional guest fee"), so I think this probably influenced my overall feel of the stay, but I don't think you could ask for better hosts. They provided some great recommendations for beaches and though we didn't meet them face to face, I am sure they would have taken care of any problems. My younger kids enjoyed having a TV in their bedroom, my older kids had separate beds, and my wife and I slept in the master. The bathroom is pretty tiny, not gonna lie about that, and the shower was definitely small - I'm not GIANT (about 6'1") but bumped my head on the shower rod getting in and couldn't really move much without hitting the walls and the curtain. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. No icemaker, but 4 filled ice trays in the freezer and a water pitcher in the fridge. You do have to give the fridge door an extra push to close it all the way or it will NOT be sealed. Fridge is actually in the laundry room (which is connected to the kitchen). This is Florida, so be prepared for lizards ready to enter the house at all times. We did have a small one get in the first night we arrived (I managed to get it out). I am pretty sure it was sprayed for ants, but a few did start to appear inside by the master bedroom bathroom window on our last couple days. I'd take a few ants over roaches (for which Florida is famous), so I was very happy those were nowhere to be found. I wish I could say the same for the Embassy Suites in Orlando the night before our stay started here. There is a nice inside patio as well as a connected screened in patio - we didn't take advantage of those areas, but it's definitely a nice space. The walkway to the house isn't as clean as the picture shows, lots of vegetation growing into the path (intentional vegetation, not weeds or anything). I only mention this because there is a little garden border edging in a few spots that is almost invisible (totally invisible at night) and it attacked me several times. Like I was walking by and it somehow reached out and grabbed my pants and tried to trip me. I avoided that path when possible. Good place! I might stay again if I got it at the 30% cheaper rate that showed the day before we booked.

Charming house, convenient location

The house was clean and charming in a nice street with no traffic. We have two small dogs so needed a yard for them and it was perfect. The fenced yard was great and they loved running around. The location is pretty central and only about 20 minutes from Siesta Key Beach. We used the kitchen and cooked at home and even grilled one night. We enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning on the lanai. We did some remote working and the wifi was strong. We would definitely stay with them again.

Fantastic Hosts

The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. We were able to check in early and they walked us through the house to show us where everything was. They also emailed ahead of our stay to offer grill, cooler and beach chairs which was just such a nice and unexpected extra. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great value

Cute little house. Furniture is a little dated but definitely served it’s purpose and is a great value. This property is in a great location. The owners are very responsive and willing to help with anything they can.

This is to be our retirement home for winters , we hope to spend summers in Hungary We live just a mile away and are almost always available for help and information. The house has Wifi and high-speed internet with 4 televisions and furnishing are always being updated.
