The Staatsburg Parsonage is a fully renovated 1930’s home nestled in one of the most idyllic villages in the Hudson Valley—both a creative retreat and a space for spending time with friends and family. Everything you’d imagine a Hudson Valley getaway to be,
Its cozy rooms let you entertain a group, curl up with a book or connect with another in quiet conversation. There are dedicated workspaces and fast wifi for any remote work you may need to do. A short walk brings you to Mills Mansion and the Hudson River; a 10-minute drive to Rhinebeck or Hyde Park.
The adjacent former Church is also available for separate rental — ask us for details.
THE SPACE
As you enter the home, you'll see the staircase to the second-floor bedrooms and enter the living room to your left. The dining and living rooms are fitted with a mix of vintage and mid-century furniture. An office functions as a 4th bedroom with a daybed that can also sleep a 6th person if needed. Rounding out the first floor, the bright kitchen is outfitted with everything a chef needs to make their next great meal.
SLEEPING AREAS
Upstairs, you'll find 3 bedrooms that sleep 5 people. The first is a large, sunlit room with two skylights and a reading nook window seat. The second is a queen bedroom with white floors and a light, cozy feel. The third is a sweet twin. A central connected space can be used for work or play — write, draw, or work at the desk, or read on the couch. We host a max of 6 guests and do not host other visitors — daytime, overnight, or parties.
OUTDOORS
The back porch anchors the home and is the perfect spot for your morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, and everything in between — enjoy the changing light and watch the fireflies. Beyond the porch, there's plenty to do outside: hiking, pickleball at the local courts, golfing at the historic Dinsmore Golf Course, or kayaking and canoeing on the Hudson.
BATHROOMS
There are 2 full baths — one upstairs with a soaking tub, and one downstairs with a shower. Each is stocked with bath essentials, including soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.
GUEST ACCESS
Guests self-check in via keypad into a private home.
DRIVING & PARKING
Our private driveway accommodates 1 car, with plenty of street parking in front of the house.
PARSONAGE HISTORY & THE CHURCH
Built in 1930, the Parsonage was originally owned by the Church next door, which dates to 1876. The minister and their family lived here while serving the congregation. The two properties were reunited in 2024 and share some of the grounds.
HEATING & COOLING
Central heating and cooling keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer.
A NOTE ABOUT THE TRAIN
An occasional train passes through — a classic Hudson Valley soundtrack that many guests find adds to the charm.
THINGS TO DO
There are plenty of walks and hikes nearby, including Mills Mansion and a walk along the Hudson River, a short walk. Rhinebeck is a 10-minute drive, and the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies is a 15-minute drive. Bikes and paddle boards are available for use. Plenty of antique shops are nearby to peruse, and wonderful places to get a massage or have a spa day in Rhinebeck and Hyde Park. The Staatsburg Public Library and Post Office are just down the street. Other outdoor activities include nearby pickleball courts, a public golf course, and kayaking.
