Our stay in this cabin was an absolute delight. The setting is bucolic, a house hidden in the woods, far from everything (and yet you're only a short drive to civilization). The porch faces out onto a beautiful pond surrounded by trees. The property clearly is carefully maintained, but it all feels and looks natural.The cabin has everything you need, and Amanda is very responsive if you need help with anything.

Communication with host was great. Cabin was very clean and as described in the listing. Great secluded location within 20 minute drive of cook forest. Property itself was beautiful, great star viewing at night! Definitely had a great stay and would consider this cabin for future rentals.

The Salmon Creek cabin was a great place to stay for biking and hiking some of the trails in the area. The cabin is several hundred feet from the road which had very little traffic when I was there, so it was very quiet. Got to see four deer near the tree line. Also got to see a sparrow tending its nest over the window by the kitchen sink. Amanda and Michael are great hosts. They took care of several small maintenance issues (ultraviolet water filter light replacement, mud dauber wasp nest removal and unclogging the toilet when I couldn't successfully use the plunger to unclog it) quickly. There were a number of ants inside, but they were taken care of easily with paper towels and a quick squish. Adding a ceiling fan or having a box fan available might help make the bedrooms a little more comfortable on very warm days since there is only one smallish window AC unit. If I'm in the area again and the cabin is available, will stay here again.

Beautiful surroundings and quaint little cabin with all that we needed for a get away. Location is key- in ANF on the forest service road, you cant find a more serene place in PA!

me and friends stayed for four days the cabin was in the woods was clean very well maintained and the host was very helpful. we enjoyed the week in the cabin and i would highly recommend this spot for a getaway.

Very secluded modern cabin

Basically a fully functional modern cabin, very secluded from other cabins, campsites or houses. Clean, pleasant and comfy porch + deck. Right up against forest, and a nearby creek.

Lovely cabin in the woods

We were surprised when we walked in that we had a tv and internet. The cabin was spotless and so cozy. It was right in between Cooks forest and Tionesta. There is a nice restaurant in town called Kelly's tavern. We had a lovely dinner and drinks there. Perfect short vacation.

Exceeded expectations

Really enjoyed our stay. It was exactly as described and yet better too. Cute cabin with comfortable beds, warm shower, and plenty of room to park. Appreciated the ample amounts of towels, toilet paper, and paper towels that so many other places seem to forget. Thanks so much!

Beautiful Location Buuuuut....

We loved the location of this cabin. It's secluded, close to Cook Forest and the fall color was beautiful. The inside of the cabin left a little to be desired. It was weird that there were no nightstands with lamps in the bedroom, only an overhead light and with a specific note on the instructions to NOT move any furniture around. Also under the bed could use a good dusting! My allergies went crazy overnight. Absolutely no tissues or toiletries of any kind. I think this is the first host place we've stayed with not even shampoo - which we of course forgot this time! Finally, a $75 host fee and requiring we strip the beds and no toiletries whatsoever. I get dishes and trash but it's a little eye-rolly. I'm glad we got some time in the woods but I'm not dying to go back for $368 for two nights. Kitchen was well stocked and this would be a good place to bring kids since it has the bunkbeds in the other room!

Zen den getaway

We loved our weekend in the woods at Hemlock Haven. We had a lot of trouble finding the place as our GPS wouldn't recognize the address and it's not visible from the road. The gate threw us off as well because we weren't looking for a gated driveway, (and it was labeled a different number than the cabins address). I noticed this in others comments also, a simple fix would be a message before arrival included w the welcome/renters agreement messaging. Once we found it, we loved its location! Beautifully tucked in the woods, secluded and peaceful- exactly what we wanted! When we entered the adorable cabin, we found scented plug ins in the rooms which don't agree w allergic or sensitive skin situations. They smelled great but we had to remove them immediately. We also found some mice, we aren't new to the woods, but didn't expect or read anything to be on the lookout for traps or mice, one was still alive and one was ready for removal. We did have trouble w the grill, but Amanda & Michael responded immediately and fixed the tank for us to finish our planned dinners! The property was amazing but could use a few things to make the stay better; some throw blankets to cozy up in, accent pillows to watch tv with, some kitchen utensils to cook or grill with and some small furniture in bedrooms for a lamp or nightstand to place your glasses or phone. Besides these minor things, we loved our weekend getaway. We came to hike, cook, practice yoga and relax and we did just that!

Fall foliage

The cabin was nice & clean. Beds we’re comfortable. Great location & peaceful setting. The cooking utensil could be improved. Also we were to clean the grill after we used it but there were no tool to clean it with. We did our best. Probably would stay again. My family goes to this area for trout fishing. The area is beautiful
