This place was just lovely,it felt homely,in a great location ,with plenty of walks just outside your door,and it felt so different being raised up giving great views of the water and sunsets,can’t wait to return next year.

Return visit, doesn’t disappoint

Great location, comfortably furnished, well designed and well equipped. Beautiful views over the Emsworth estuary. Lovely walks. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the coots building a nest and other birdlife. It’s become one of our favourites for a few days break.

Excellent Location

This is the second time we have stayed here as a base for attending the Festival of speed. The standard of accommodation is good, it is exceptionally well equipped and very clean. The stand out is the location next the quay and on a nature reserve. we love walking around the nature reserve and viewing the wild life from the balcony. The Festival is about a 35 minute drive and during the week we also visited Arundel Castle and the Isle of Wight. We will be coming back next year.

Lovely place

Wonderful short break

Our short time at Avocet key was extremely enjoyable and left us completely refreshed and relaxed. The accommodation was very clean and fantastically equipped to a very high standard. The view out onto the wetland pond was constantly changing as we were entertained by a pair of Swans and other water birds, and even a passing fox. We enjoyed the walking options in the surrounding area and the good quality eating options. The availability of the 700 Bus to Portsmouth and Chichester enabled us to visit both without the hassle of car parking. An excellent time all round. We shall be back.

Great location, very comfortable and well equipped apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is fabulous, the apartment was warm and comfortable and extremely well equipped for food preparation and cooking. There are also lots of excellent eating establishments within easy walking distance, and so great dog walking too.

2nd Visit

Can't say better than a return visit. Very comfortable base, with a beautiful balcony with views over the water and marsh. Lovely place to relax in the evening after a day exploring this beautiful part of the country.

Perfect Festive Stay

Beautiful location

We have stayed here before and returned as it is such a beautiful location. Its very peaceful and there is lots of wildlife. The Deckhouse is very well equipped - they have thought of everything. The location is excellent for touring the area. I would definitely go again.

Cosy apartment near the sea

Super cosy little apartment near the sea. Extremely comfortable and great location. A tad disappointed that the pond had been temporarily drained, outside of the apartment, but only detracted from the experience slightly. Would stay again 5*

Home from Home

I have stayed in various deckhouses in Emsworth and particularly like this one due to its location. The accommodation is very comfortable and inviting with all that you would need to make your stay enjoyable. Emsworth Village is within walking distance from the deckhouse with various places to eat in the evening and during the day. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Great Holiday Home

This is an excellent holiday home in a beautiful location. It was very well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. We stayed there for Goodwood Festival of Speed and it is perfectly located for that and many other attractions. We had a great festival and holiday. We also visited Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight on the hovercraft and Arundel Castle. We will be back again.

Excellent as always.

This is our third stay at 6 Avocet Quay and I’m sure it won’t be our last. It’s in a beautiful and peaceful spot on Emsworth Yacht harbour, there are lovely walks straight from the door, and the accommodation itself is one of the best equipped and comfortable places we’ve ever stayed, truly a home from home. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful sunsets

The deckhouse had everything you would need to have an enjoyable holiday. The view from the balcony was lovely. It was an easy walk into Emsworth which has a variety of restaurants and takeaways. The sun shone for the whole week and there were lots of interesting places to visit.

Compromise to enjoy superb location, disappointing standard, would benefit from a deep clean

The booking procedure was simple and straight forward, for our third visit. We adore the location and are happy to accept a lesser quality standard of accommodation to benefit from the this. We were asked for feedback after both prior bookings, however this seems to be a waste of time because on our last stay, no effort had been made to add a simple small handle near to the toilet to assist guests using the toilet, which is very low.There was no bathroom cleaning product and the toilet seat was unsteady/ broken. Some feedback after our review, with suggestions, would have been good customer service. Generally there was an obvious lack of sufficient detail to cleaning in all rooms, no effort to appear regularly loved or cared for. Such a shame.

Excellent Deckhouse

First class in every respect - super location, comfort, fixtures & fittings - all thoughtfully done. The visiting grandchildren from nearby Portchester think the deckhouse is fan-tas-tic!!! So much so we have booked again next year And grandchildren tell us they’re coming to stay in the second bedroom!!
