The Space:

This single level home is located in a quiet area across the street from the Isle of Palms Recreation center where you and your family will enjoy the dog park, playground, tennis, basketball, and other amenities. The popular screened-in porch with a sectional sofa is a great place to lounge after a day at the beach. If preparing meals in the fully-equipped kitchen is simply not enough, give the gas grill a chance and grill out on your deck. This dog-friendly retreat offers guests direct beach access and a convenient outdoor shower so you can rinse off the sand before lounging in the living area.



What’s nearby:

The beach is approximately four blocks away from this home. Downtown Isle of Palms is just one and a half miles away. Here you’ll find shops, restaurants, the grocery store, and entertainment. The local marina, which features boat tours and water sport rentals is also just a mile away. Hop in the car and head over the connector to Mt. Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island and, Charleston where your vacationing opportunities are endless! All are reachable within 15-30 minutes.

Sweet Spot

This is the second time we have stayed at this location. We loved it again! It is a very easy walk to the beach. Right across the street from a dog park and the recreational park. My kids love to go over and play pickle ball and play basketball. Even though you can’t see the ocean, you can still hear it. It’s so soothing and relaxing on the front porch.

Nice home. Across from park

We had a wonderful stay. The park across the street was great for our young kids. The county park with great beach access was only a short drive away.

Just Right

This property was a perfect location. My kids loved being right next to the park. They were able to go over and play basketball and pickle ball. My dogs enjoyed being next to the dog park. It was a great neighborhood to walk around and easy access to the beach. Definitely will book this house again if it is available.

Property location excellent. One of the few properties on IOP that is not a mansion, so it’s nice for smaller groups. The property was ok. A dated house with updated appliances. AC went out one day and Vacassa was attentive and resolved issue inside 24hrs. Propane cylinders at the grill were empty…. Realized that on July 4th somewhat challenging to replace on the island that day

Great location and screened porch

We enjoyed sitting together on the screened porch, and also the convenience of staying 4 blocks from the beach.

Quality Time

We have stayed at this property multiple times now and enjoyed it every time! It is always clean and convenient. The master bed is very comfortable. My only recommendation for updates would be that a few of the pillows are getting flat and could use an update as well as changing the light bulb in the twin room from blue light LED to a soft white bulb. These are very minor and changeable. Possibly consider using more chemical free cleaning options for soaps - we usually bring our own! Overall, LOVE this place and will return!! A favorite for sure!!

Great home for Nephew’s wedding

I just had moved from East End of Long Island on November 4rd. to Grovetown GA just outside of Augusta. Myself and my two Cairn terriers (like Toto from Wizard of oz enjoyed a 5 night stay on the Isle of Palms. The house was perfect for the 3 of us…. Lots of places to walk the doggies. Close to where my sister and her family stayed also on the Isle of Palms. Any communication i Had during my stay with the Property Management team was excellent. The house was clean and included any kitchen item anyone would need. Thank you Robert John H

NO HOT WATER FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK!

Vacasa has the worst customer service! We checked in on Saturday evening with plans to attend a rehearsal dinner. When we arrived, we discovered there was no hot water, so we could not possibly get 5 showers and be at the dinner on time. We contacted Vacasa and were told that our call would be “escalated” and someone would call before coming to address the problem. Sunday, no call and no maintenance. Thankfully, the water was not frigid, so we were able to endure 5 tepid showers before the wedding we were in town to attend. Monday, still no contact, so we called again just before noon. We were told that the problem would be addressed that day. The maintenance guy did come out, but all he did was increase the temperature on the hot water tank and told us to wait a couple of hours for it to heat. When we still did not have hot water, we called him back. He was kind enough to contact us from his cell and told us to call him there. He was stumped as to the problem. He was out 1 or 2 more times, on different days to troubleshoot, but never remedied the situation beyond hot water in the sink, in the small half bathroom, located in the back of the house. He offered to have the property manager call us, but we never heard from anyone. So we spent the entire week with no hot water! When we returned home, I responded to an Email from the district manager asking for feedback, and never received a response. We will never stay in another Vacasa managed property again! In addition, we battled ants on the counter; there was no laundry detergent as indicated in the description; and we only had one dish towel. Also, the screens were torn on the screened porch. On a positive note, the layout of the house was good and the location was great, but having no hot water all week overshadowed everything good about the property.

Great family house!

This house was perfect for us for the weekend. 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog. We were all comfortable and had space to spread out. It's a great little beach house and if you have kids, RIGHT across from a super nice playground and field. We will definitely consider this again for a weekend away!

Overall good experience

This is a great beach house in a quiet neighborhood. Across the street from playground and dog park. Easy walk to beach but Golf cart rental is less than a block away if needed for your stay. House has plenty of areas to sit outside- either deck or enclosed front porch. Good WiFi for remote working. Furnishings were basic but clean - what you would expect for a beach house that undergoes a lot of weekly rental traffic. There were no dish towels, which was odd and we went and bought some. Only one trash bag (the one in the can) and one roll of paper towels. Went and bought both. Overall good experience.

Weekend stay

The house was fine- bathrooms dated but beds comfortable and nicely appointed kitchen and comfortable furniture. Only one shower. Yard needed mowing! We were also disappointed to find no fenced in backyard after I called to ask and was told it was fenced.

Great beach getaway

Perfect lil house for a week at the beach. Love the big living room/dining room area and the bedrooms are all very comfortable and there’s plenty of porch/deck space. In a quiet neighborhood across from a rec center and only a short walk from the beach. There were a few small things that needed repair, like a screen and part of a porch railing, but none of that detracted from my experience.

Vacation nightmare

1. When we got there the front door doesn’t open easily. You have to shove your entire body into it multiple times to get it to open. None of the females on the trip could get it open. 2. House was SO dirty upon arrival. Dog hair everywhere (yes I am aware pet friendly but this was not cleaned at all). Couch full of sand- we washed sheets and put them over the couch the entire trip bc it was so gross. Black mold in shower and kitchen sink (went and bought bleach to clean before the rest of our family came). Comforters/quilts on all beds were full of dog hair. Then I go to take the comforter off and notice that instead of a top sheet the king bed was made with the shower Curtain??? Thankfully I packed a set of our own sheets and blanket to use. Dirty clothes left in washer from previous vacationers and someone’s used mask left hanging by front door (ew). Thank god I brought Laundry detergent bc I had to wash all linens myself..went to remove sheets from full bed and there were dead BUGS on top of the mattress protector. Later on washer broke .and we ran the dish washer once to come home to water all over the floor. 3. We contacted vacasa as soon as we got there bc it was so nasty. Unfortunately house keeping couldn’t come out until the following day. Housekeeping asked to keep my note with all the issues and agreed that the house had not been cleaned. She apologized and wanted to share with her manager. However, We couldn’t leave our dog so another day wasted waiting on something we shouldn’t be dealing with. Then we contacted vacasa about the bugs in the bed the following day. Wasted half a day waiting on pest control to confirm it was not bed bugs (thank god) but just dead bugs in the bed. Overall….Saturday, Sunday and Monday were wasted when we were suppose to be enjoying our vacation. 4. Spoke with property manager who said we would be getting refunded for days wasted (sat, sun and 1/2 day Monday) and cleaning fee only to later the following week be told that the other property manager had no notes of the property not being cleaned and only knew about the bugs so we would only be getting refunded for one day. I would not recommend using vacasa for your upcoming trip after this nightmare of an experience with them Only positive about this property: house location and dog park across the street. Sadly it wouldn’t allow me to upload photos of what we dealt with but this summary should give you a good idea of what we experienced.

Never Again

We had a two week rental. The property lawn was untidy and uncut upon arrival. Despite our attempts to have the lawn mowed, it was not until halfway through our second week that the lawn was maintained. Bugs and critter were all over the yard as a result. The unit was advertised to contain an outside shower. The shower was in a shed that was littered with dirt mulch and debris. Completely unusable. The kitchen was inadequately furnished. This company has little interest in keeping its properties tip-top. I would not recommend VACASA to anyone.

Great place as always

I love staying here. The kids loved there being a playground across the street. The back deck is great and the opening back door glass door made it even better. My only wish is that ESPN was available as it is not with the current satellite package at this home.

What a gem!

The house provided a very comfortable stay for us and was a convenient location to visit Patriot’s Point and Charleston. The house had everything we needed and was a short walk from the beach. And it’s dog friendly! The whole area is dog friendly. The big screened in porch was perfect for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice older house but needs better upkeep

This is a comfortable older house but needs better maintenance. Overall it was clean but did have mold around bath tub tile. Things like broken storm door and missing drapes and other minor items need regular attention. The management company is very responsive.

Fantastic location

The house and location were perfect for our needs. A few unfortunate details spoiled what could have been a great review. We stayed 3 weeks. From day 1, the shower curtain and caulk around the shower was covered in black mold, the outdoor grill was filthy and the lawn was severely overgrown. We called about the lawn. It took a bit of chasing but a service was eventually sent to cut it. The lawn took so much effort we didn't bother chasing about the shower or grill and took care of it ourselves.

Perfect vacation home

The location 3 blocks from the beach was ideal, quiet but close to everything we needed. The dog park is right across the street and there are restaurants and groceries very close. The beach was really nice and we took our dog. Everyone was very dog friendly. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We’ll be back for sure!
