New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Get ready to enjoy some gorgeous sunsets and great times at this beautiful canal-front home! The Beacon will help light your way to lots of fun and relaxation with plenty of spacious living areas and pleasing decor to help you sink into the vacation frame of mind. Catch a flick on the TV while sitting on comfortable furnishings, including two new sofas, in the living room area with arched ceilings. Pull up a stool to the breakfast bar and enjoy a treat prepared in the brightly lit kitchen area, which, along with the dining room, has brand-new flooring. A separate den will be a peaceful place to steal away and read a book or write a postcard to friends back home. After a long, fun-filled day at the beach, you'll be ready for a break and can take a short nap in any of the three restful bedrooms.

The Beacon offers multiple TVs, two DVD players, and two stereo/CD players to help keep you occupied while indoors. Plenty of covered and open decks will afford you great views of the canal leading into the sound. While you're waiting for one of those amazing sunsets, take a dip in the hot tub while sipping on a cool beverage. You'll also get to enjoy a Free OBR Pool Pass in Avon during your stay for when you need a break from the beach. This property also offers high-speed WiFi to keep your devices connected, plus sound access via the backyard, perfect for your kayaks, jet skis, and small skiffs. Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our here, it had a little launch for kayaks/paddle boards which we did not get to use since we didn't bring our kayaks. It was close to where we wanted go fishing at with the best pricing.

Great house if you have dogs

It was right by the water with a cute little neighborhood for taking the dogs for a walk. Plenty of room for the whole family. Gorgeous balcony overlooking the water.

Lovely house in amazing setting

We've stayed in Avon for a few years now and have rented different houses each time. This one was our favorite. Great location on the sound with amazing sunset views. House was the perfect size and had everything we needed. Another wonderful OBX vacation in the books!

The right place.

We had a rough year so when we got to this house in Avon it had just the right amount of space for everyone. While the guys fished the women shopped and relaxed.

Friends get together

Friends and kids had a get together- the house provided enough space for everyone- dogs were welcomed - house had everything we needed- and enough space for all the boats and beach gear

Beautiful home with everything you could ask for. Sitting on the wrap around decks watching the sunrise in the mornings, listening to the ocean no matter where you sit, to amazing sunsets at night, all breathtaking! Being able to have my dog was a big plus and The easy access to the beach. But the best part was hearing 6 teenage boys tell us “ best vacation ever!” Thank you The Knotty Whale and Outer Beaches Realty! This house is very convenient to the ocean and all things in Avon. It is on the second row back from the ocean with nearby public beach access to a nice wide beach. It had plenty of room for our family. The living room had enough seating for everyone to fit comfortably. Two full size dining tables and bar stools gave us plenty of room at mealtime and game time.The exposed hot tub was wonderful for relaxing and star gazing. There are ocean views from the top deck. October stay

We’ve stayed at your home before and we’re just as happy this time with the property as we were last time. There was a handful of wood screws in the driveway when we arrived. There was some confusion with check in. Original listing said 4pm and then I received an email saying 5pm. When I asked to check on an hour earlier than 5pm I was told “no” that I could check inat their standard time of 4pm.

Worst house ever!

We’ve stayed at the obx for twenty years in many different houses and this was the worst house by far that we ever stayed in. The house wasn’t cleaned at all( tony from Vacasa was good about it and reimbursed our cleaning fee),the furniture was very wore out and tore up from dogs as well as some of the trim around the doors, the floors were rotting in several places around doorways and the house was infested with cockroaches. These are just The major problems with the house. It needs a lot of repairs to make it a nice house again

Positives: we enjoyed our stay. Great view of the sound and perfect for sunsets. Great location.Con: smelled musty upon entering, mostly on the 1st and 2nd floors, maybe it's the carpet. But it smelled like an old house. Kitchen needs storage for dry goods.We would stay again, regarless of the smell.
