Set along the peaceful soundfront in Surf City, Southeast of Disorder offers laid-back coastal charm, beautiful sunset views, and direct access to the water. This 4-bedroom retreat features spacious decks, a private dock with a shaded swing and fish-cleaning station, and a relaxed open living area designed for gathering with family and friends.
First Floor
Step into the main living level, where large windows frame stunning views of the sound. The bright, open layout includes a fully equipped kitchen with an island and bar seating, a dining area, and a cozy living room that opens to the covered soundfront deck. This level also includes a queen bedroom and a full bathroom.
Second Floor
Upstairs, two soundfront queen bedrooms each feature an en suite bathroom, sliding doors to the shared covered deck, and beautiful views of the water. The deck includes an outdoor swinging bed and Adirondack seating — the perfect spot to relax with a book or watch the sky turn pink at sunset. A third bedroom on this level includes two twin bunk beds (sleeping 4 total) with access to a full hallway bathroom.
Ground Level
The ground floor includes an outdoor shower and a laundry room for convenience after a day on the water or at the beach.
Outdoor Living
Enjoy life on the water from your private dock, complete with a shaded deck swing and fish cleaning table — ideal for casting a line, sipping coffee at dawn, or taking in the evening sunset over the sound. While the community boat ramp is not available for guest use, public ramps are available for those bringing a boat. The community beach access is just a short walk away when it's time for sand and surf.

CHECK IN DAY DETAILS -
Your rental home allows you to check-in directly at the property. Check-in typically becomes available BETWEEN 4:00 - 6:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. As soon as your rental is ready for check in, we will send you a text message with all of your check-in instructions. Please understand that all homes must be cleaned and inspected before we are allowed to issue access details and you are not allowed to be at the property until you have received that text message.

WiFi: WiFi signal strength is NOT guaranteed at your rental for remote work or remote learning. We are located on a barrier island and do not have cellular towers on the island. This, coupled with the increase of guests in our area, creates an inconsistent cellular signal that is outside of our control and therefore, compensation is NOT given.
Beach Nourishment: Beach nourishment projects help preserve and protect Topsail Island’s shoreline. Most projects are scheduled annually between November and April and may involve large pipes on the beach, trucks moving sand, and other equipment to rebuild and maintain our dunes. Timelines and locations can shift without notice, and we are not always informed in advance. While we understand this may impact your beach experience, refunds or compensation will not be provided for disruptions related to beach nourishment. For the latest updates, we recommend checking the town websites for Topsail Beach, Surf City, or North Topsail Beach. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about potential beach impacts during your stay.
Water Pressure Notice: Please be aware that during popular rental dates, especially in the mornings and evenings, there may be temporary reductions in water pressure. This is a common occurrence across the island as many visitors are getting ready for the day or returning from the beach. We recommend planning showers and other water-related activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Public Parking: The Town of Surf City enforces “Pay to Park” from March 1-Oct 31 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the Surf City Public Beach Access Parking Lots and other marked Public Parking Lots. The Town of North Topsail Beach will enforce “Pay to Park” from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM year-round. Onslow County operates three public parking areas/beach accesses within the Town of North Topsail Beach. To the best of our knowledge the county intends to continue operating these lots free of charge.
Leave No Trace: Topsail Island enforces a "Leave No Trace" policy in order to protect our shoreline, meaning you must remove all items, including tents and chairs, from the beach each day. Any items left behind are subject to theft, removal by the town, or possibility of being washed away by the ocean.
Turtle Nesting Season: From May to October, Topsail Island is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Be mindful of marked nests, limit oceanside deck lights, and follow local guidelines to protect them.
