Superior quality stay!

Our stay in Guadalajara was great, in part because the condo was so clean, well appointed, Manuel was super helpful and overall a great host.

Beautiful Place

We enjoyed our stay at Americana. It is a very modern apartment on the sixth floor. Quite near everywhere we went by Uber. Definitely a nice place to stay.

Best place ever!

This property was absolutely amazing! The location was safe, really hip and fun, the building is beautiful and our unit was clean, modern and well equipped. It had all the amenities you can possibly need when traveling. Our host was the best! He was really responsive, gave us great recommendations, gave us the most wonderful welcome, explained everything in person and in detail, he was available to answer any question at any time! I highly recommend this condo. This host is absolutely the best! We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Fantastic!!!

Unique, fantastic experience!! Wonderful apartment, stylish, convenient, everything not just a brand new but simply state of the art - astonishing interior, beautiful bathrooms and kitchen with numerous appliances everybody could only dream of! Warm, extremely friendly hospitality of the hosts - young intelligent couple who are architects of this entire building themselves. Fantastic location, magnificent neighborhood, close to everything, spectacular views from every window and balconies!! we loved it and wanted to stay forever!!

Well furnished modern property in great neighborhood

First, Manuel is a great host. Both he and his wife were extremely hospitable and accommodating. When we had a minor issue with the plumbing, Manuel did everything he could to ensure that we were properly taken care of and not inconvenienced. The property is amazing. Our unit was well furnished and aesthetically impressive. The living room and both bedrooms have views of the city as well. We finally went up to the rooftop on our last night and there are amazing views from up there. On our next stay, we'll definitely be spending a lot more time up there. The location is great with a ton of great food and beverage choices nearby. Laboratorio Singluar is a great coffee place within a minutes walk. Also, Casa Hikuri is across the street and is an amazing craft beer bar with very friendly staff. There are numerous great places to eat literally 2 buildings down and if you walk about 5-10 minutes to the main street, there are many more options. We're already trying to plan our next trip back and will definitely be staying here again.

Franklin and his friend were absolutely the perfect guests! Quiet, respectful, appreciative, and charming. We had an issue with the plumbing and they were patience and comprehensive. ! Thank you! We really enjoyed their stay with us. Human, friendly and great people. Upon their departure, every room was totally neat and clean. We lucked out of having such a good guest, and would love to have them back soon.

Apartment in the Americana Neighborhood

The location is right in the middle of sooo many restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. It is wonderful to walk-about and explore because you’ll find beautiful and creative businesses that want to serve you. We stayed on the 6th floor with views of the city from the front and the back of the unit. Security was robust with double entry gates/doors and digital locks and deadbolts on the unit door. Manuel and Raquel were so responsive and when we needed to see a doctor or want to take. Tour, they had some suggestions and recommendations and even offered to drive us around. Bit, since everything is within 15-20 minutes or closer, we could walk without issue. The only recommendation I have is to provide a shade or curtain for the sun exposed window and porch. We are Seattleites and the 87 degree weather wa challenging for us even with the Honeywell water coolers provided. We highly recommend this unit for those seeking a safe, fun, and central location.

Fulfills expectations

There is probably not a 'best' location for a Guadalajara visit, as the city is large with places worth visiting spread throughout the city; however, the location of this property must certainly be at the top of the list. Its location is an easy 15 minute walk to the historical center of the city, and minutes within many restaurants and the very active Avenida Chapultepec. For those not interested in walking, we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a Uber pickup. The unit is completely as advertised. My understanding is that the owner designed the building, and he has obvious pride in his property. As a result of this, it is maintained in top condition. He is the best owner that I have dealt with on Vrbo. He quickly responds to all communications and is always willing to assist. He speaks perfect English, so there are no communication problems. Everyone in our group agreed that we would return to this property on our next visit. It met all of our needs, and there were no little annoyances: the toilets flushed, the hot water never ran out, drinkable water was available in the kitchen, and the wifi was excellent. There was not a second during our five days where we worried about security. This is an upscale neighborhood. There were no suspicious people lurking on the street. We only saw people enjoying life. You are safe here. If you don't require the services of a hotel, you should certainly consider this excellent property. I don't normally write reviews, but when an owner is working hard to provide the best experience, he deserves some recognition.

BUYER BEWARE.. Read ALL the FINE PRINT BEFORE COMMITTING

> Unless you are a single individual inexplicably renting a 2 bedroom condo, be advised that the stated daily price for this unit is NOT what you will actually be paying. In fact, an additional daily fee will be charged for every individual over one who occupies this unit. > I normally shy away from leaving negative reviews. However, our experience with the owner of this place created such a nightmare, clouding our anticipated relaxing vacation, that I feel an obligation to warn future travelers. > > > On the same day we made our reservations and paid in full (some 9 months in advance), I messaged the manager and advised him that we might very well invite another couple to join us for a few days during our 3+ week stay in August. The manager/owner responded without objection, and never mentioned any additional charges for our anticipated use of the second bedroom . > > Then, after arriving and moving in, we did again notify the owner of the expected arrival of our (2) guests, and again, no mention was made of any additional charges. Once our guests arrived, however, the owner immediately insisted we had to pay an additional daily fee for each of the occupants. When I questioned his motives in writing, he insisted this was necessary to cover "additional expenses". Yet, NO SERVICES were provided at any time during our 3 week stay.. no housekeeping; no laundry; nothing. In fact we had to provide ALL consumables during our stay, once the initial 3-day "starter pack" was exhausted. This included paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, trash can liners, cleaning supplies and kitchen and laundry detergents. In fact, the owner even refused in writing to provide a second key for our guests. I finally had to call the HomeAway help desk, where the agent confirmed that any additional charges levied after acceptance of the initial reservation were inappropriate and unenforceable, so we chose to ignore the almost-daily written admonitions from the owner to pay up. > During our stay the manager posted total additional charges 75% more than initial, although guests (no more than 2) stayed at our condo a handful of days. > A few days after our departure, we learned that the owner had disallowed refunding ANY of our deposit. > > Fortunately, the good folks at HomeAway have intervened to resolve the situation, but we are left with nothing but bad memories of what should have been the vacation of a lifetime. Buyer Beware! Greed and avarice replaced decency

1. We are very dedicated hosts who take care of our guests and property more than of our own home. We make our guests feel safe and comfortable. 2. We are 100% customer oriented, as all of our other HomeAway guests can attest in their always 5 star reviews. Sadly this is not a case of “not reading the fine print” but of willfully misrepresenting the reservation information in order to take advantage. The guest reserved for two people, but 5 people stayed in the apartment during the whole 3+ week stay. It is as simple as that. 3. While the guest did anticipate before his arrival that he would maybe receive visitors at the most for a single weekend, receiving and hosting more people during his whole stay is an absolutely different situation to what he described and is not an issue of receiving visits, but of hosting strangers into our home without our permission and at no cost. 4. While there is no fine print to read, the booking conditions are clearly written in the dashboard, are filled by the guest, and are impossible to misunderstand. If during his reservation he filled a lower number of guests knowingly and intentionally, then his intention from the start was paying less for the service he required. 5. During his stay, we politely tried to reach an amicable conclusion to the situation, clearly stating what was the nature of the problem, and our manner of doing it was patient and prudent, always trying to avoid any unpleasant experience. 6. The guest, on the other hand, resorted to behaving extremely impolitely, to being disrespectful, and to issue threats including leaving a bad review if we didn’t allow him to host whatever people he wanted. 7. As this is a family business and our home, we don’t budge to threats. This review is the sad result of that. 8. The situation is currently being reviewed by the HomeAway staff and our account manager, and we hope it will be resolved in our favor in the following days as we have provided all of the evidence required, including conversations in writing where the guest accepts that he was hosting an additional number of people. 9. We hope this situation never repeats, and in the future hope to always host only honest, well intentioned people wishing to have an exellent and relaxing stay.

Space and Comfort Galore!

From the moment we entered Mexico Manuel was in touch with us. He instructed me to ring him and then pass the phone to the taxi driver on the way in from the airport. He was waiting for us outside his seven storey building. The apartment is everything it claims to be, the reality is even more impressive. Manuel and Raquel were always available, however so efficient was the functionality of the apartment that contact was not really required. On departure Manuel arranged a large Uber to take us, four in total, to the new bus station. What more can anyone want? This is an exceptionally well designed apartment with exceptionally courteous hosts. Thank you so much Raquel and Manuel

To start my impression Manuel and his wife are great hosts, the appartement feels like you are in a penthouse; beautiful view,nice breeze, very well wormely decorated. Great area for restaurants bars shops and still a quiet place to stay. I’t also nice to have a parking space 30 feet from your elevator. All is high-tech , reverse osmosis filtered water, very well equipped kitchen, and nice dining room. Roof terrace to see the city light sipping on a glass of wine. You really get much more than is expected with this place I give it a 5*****

Unbelievable Hospitality!

I rented this gorgeous apartment for my mom and her sister and friend. There location was absolutely perfect, in the heart of everything! The apartment itself was so beautiful, a real luxury. But the owners were the best part. They went out of their way to ensure that my mother was taken care of. They even helped with a doctor for her sister and helped with rides to the airport. I can't recommend this place highly enough! Don't keep looking, you have found the perfect place to stay in the best neighborhood in Guadalajara!

Perfect!

The apartment is centrally located with stunning views! There are balconies directly off of the living room and both bedrooms. The apartment is well appointed and furnished with everything you might need. Manuel and his wife have done an exception job at creating a comfortable environment, from the lobby, with the secured entryway to the stunning rooftop patio. Manuel and his wife were very accommodating to our needs.You can tell when an owner really cares about their guests’ comfort and this is one of the most comfortable VRBO places we have ever stayed and we have stayed all over the world! We are looking forward to our return to this hidden treasure!

It was absolutely a pleasure to host Beatriz and her family. I had the honor to meet her father and other members of her fine family. They are respectful with the norms of the condominium, kind, comprehensive, and appreciative. Upon their departure, every room was in order and clean. Excelentes huespedes, muy educados y respetuosos de las reglas del lugar. Dejaron el apartamento en perfectas condiciones. Muy recomendables. Con mucho gusto los recibiremos nuevamente. Esta es su casa!

El proyecto arquitectónico es estético y funcional. Los espacios son amplios, bien iluminados y bien ventilados.
Por sus amplias ventanas y excelente orientación, se aprovecha la iluminación y la ventilación natural. Cuenta con un balcón al frente y dos atrás. Los acabados son de alta calidad como la ventanería en PVC alemán con doble cristal para aislamiento térmico y acústico, carpintería natural en parota.
En el edificio es 100% ecológico y amigable con las mascotas. Cuentas con hasta dos espacios de estacionamiento cubiertos (a su solicitud), elevador, gimnasio y terraza panorámica con cocineta y asador en el área común, además de área infantil. Acceso controlado con un sistema de seguridad por medio de tarjetas, CCTV, y acabados de alta calidad entre otras ventajas, convirtiéndolo en un verdadero edificio boutique.

A unas cuadras de Chapultepec, frente a una ciclovía, edificio pequeño 100% habitacional con solamente 12 unidades y un Loft excelentemente proyectado. Está ubicado en el mejor lugar de la Colonia Americana, zona llena de amenidades, representativa y diversa de la ciudad de Guadalajara.
La calle sobre la que se ubica acaba de ser remodelada y cuenta con un hermoso diseño urbano. Por su ubicación privilegiada en el corazón de la zona rosa de Guadalajara, el área es visitada por jóvenes, parejas, hombres de negocios, extranjeros, jubilados. Todos ellos de buen nivel cultural, gustos refinados y alternativos. Es una zona gourmet, llena de amenidades diversas y creativas como galerías de arte, museos, bibliotecas, cines, teatros, restaurantes y bares para todos los gustos y presupuestos. Es el sitio de más vida y mayor demanda en el área metropolitana de Guadalajara.
Te desplazas rápidamente a cualquier lugar de la ciudad pues cuentas con sistema de renta de bicicletas y ciclovías, transporte colectivo frente al edificio, y tren ligero a pocas cuadras de distancia, además de taxi y Uber. En solo unos minutos llegas a la central de autobuses o al aeropuerto.
