This house was a central location for us to stay in and explore the area. If you stay here, I highly recommend eating at the Jolly Inn across the street! Excellent food and the staff is wonderful. The house if going to have the basics you need to serve as a home base. Only thing missing was the patio furniture :( I didn't receive/couldn't find our email with entry code but the host sent that pretty quickly so we had no problems getting in.

Great location to see the gems of upper michigan

Great place to stay. Nice house and plenty of room. Centrally located within a hour of Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. Hard to go wrong. Great place and I’d stay again.

Central Location

This property was a good location for us. We visited a friend near Manistique and met an old college friend at Tahquamenon Falls. Less than a hour drive to the falls, Munising and Pictured Rocks and 1½ hours to Sault St. Marie. So much beauty to see!

Great stay

Very happy with property. Had a wonderful time, would have liked to stay longer. Clean and well maintained . Would have liked more outdoor chairs (white stackable ones would work). Not a big thing though. Pretty centrally located to see the sights.

Good Location and OK Value

Trailer was relatively clean. Ants in bathroom, but we set out Terro and took care of the ants. Beds were firm but noisy. Air conditioning was a portable unit sitting on a chair in the living room and couldn't keep the trailer cool during unseasonably warm weather. Overall OK value for the price.

Good location

It was sufficient. We had everything we needed. The lock/key didn’t work for the door. We were unable to contact the manager. The house was in a good location for sightseeing. We would consider staying again.

When we first walked in, we were really impressed by how clean it was. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with what you need to cook. We did our breakfasts and dinners there for the most part and had no problem with anything. The appliances worked great. The beds are comfortable. It's notable that Germfask has the (infamous) Benny just down the road, antique stores, Seney Wildlife refuge. Pictured rocks is under an hour away. The Bear Ranch is under an hour, as areTahquamenon Falls. It's really a great central location for the hot spots up there. The host is incredibly considerate and accommodating. The Jolly Inn, a local favorite restaurant, is right across the street and is well worth the walk over. We saw a few deer in the backyard before we came home. Overall, the stay was quite pleasant.

The second pullout couch had food crumbs and wrappers all over the pullout bed. No air conditioning it was so hot in that house. No outdoor furniture or seating like it says it has. The grill is a tiny tiny tabletop grill. No water access on the property. It was definitely misrepresented.

This property was listed as having air conditioning. It does not. Do not rent in the summer ,it was 87 in the house. Nothing was cleaned from previous renters. Beddingand towels were all dirty. Trash on counters and in house. I spent 3 hours cleaning before we could unload the car. Left over food in the refrigerator and old coffee in the pot. The location was good for our needs. The manager took days to respond. We did receive a 3 day refund after contacting VRBO.

Central location to make as a base camp. Everything we wanted to do was only about an hour away. The house was very clean, roomy and well equiped. The down side were the uncomfortable beds. They were very firm and noisy. We were not able to have the windows opened because mosquitoes kept getting in through holes in the screens. Even with the windows closed they somehow still got in. If the screens and beds were updated I would definitely stay here again.

Cottage on River

The cottage was very nice, however, the bed in the bedroom was awful. The mattress was terrible and made noise everytime you moved. Also, we thought it said queen size beds, the bedroom that had 1 bed was a double. The air conditioning did not work. Luckily it was cool when we were there. Also the top lock on the back door was broken and patio screen was hard to close. It needs a few repairs, but it was a very nice place to stay.Good location and roomy and clean.

False advertising

The house was very clean and but not comfortable because it was advertised air conditioning and in 90 degree weather it was very hot for two 86 year olds and one who had to be on oxygen and in a wheelchair. No screens in living room and on doors. Found a portable atr conditioner but wouldn't fit in any windows except kitchen. Rob had to put it in and get lawn maintenance man to help him lift it up on a chair. The house was very nice. Everything you could possibly want. We looked for bath towels and found them wet in the washer.we had to put them in dryer and fold them. We rented the house because it had a ramp. It was very hard to get up and down it. It needed fixed at the bottom. Also when we arrived there was garbage left on porch that animals got into. The trashcan was also full. full.get up and down it him lift it on a chair so it would fit.

Ok due to location but...

The location was excellent but a few things were lacking. The AC was completely inadequate to deal with hot days. It's just a portable unit that is probably capable of dealing with room less than half the size of the property. Thus we had to run it far more than we - and the owner - would have liked, during the hottest days of summer. The portable AC vented through a window, which made the home insecure. We would have gladly opened the windows because the outside temp was cooler, but the blinds were broken and some of the screens were missing, so we couldn't rely on outside overnight air to cool the property. At least one of the beds lacked a mattress cover under the bottom sheet. The "security stick" for the sliding rear door was broken, so it would have been easy for someone to enter the property through that door. It took two days for the owner to respond to a message via VRBO when we inquired if we could get a late checkout. The side door lock was broken. There was hair in 1 of the shower drains that the water wouldn't go down. We had to clean it out Hopefully the owner will switch the internet from satellite to newly-available internet service. We were unable to use the internet when it rained, and it was always very slow and connections were very "iffy." The instructions for connecting to the internet were posted on the refrigerator in a type font that was tiny and blurred, so it was difficult to read. We had to guess at what the password was.

Very comfortable house

This house had everything we needed and plenty of room for 6 people. Communication with the owner was very good. We would stay there again.

Great place to gather!

This was the perfect location for our family reunion - it was near where all the activities were taking place. We thought we could bring a dog and found out after we booked it that we couldn't. We made it work anyway, but it was an extra expense to board our dog at home. The host was great at communicating and very prompt! We'd definitely stay here again!
