Our stay at Las Olas was perfect in every way! This unit is ground floor steps from the beach and the pool. Newly remodeled, beds are comfy, AC works well. We will be back!

Great vacation

Our family had a great time at Las Olas for spring break. We have stayed in Las Olas several times and twice at this condo. The condo is clean, well kept and has a beautiful beach view. Carlene is wonderful and very responsive. We hope to come back many more times! We enjoyed our stay!

Great spot for family surf trip

Beautiful apartment and views, great set up for our family for the week. The location is not walkable except for a couple of restaurant options on the beach (you need a car as the property is accessible from the highway), but we were there to surf which we could do right outside our door! Owner was extremely helpful and responsive during our stay.

Great spot

Very easy and relaxing experience. Everything was a breeze and well communicated. The condo itself was fantastic. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend, especially if being right on the water is important to you.

Great unit for a family. Ground floor was very convenient for beach and pool access

Las Olas is our happy place. This was our first time in ground floor and now I think it is our favorite. It was as if we had our own cabana by the pool at all times. Morning coffee on the patio and evening sunsets were a treat. Only comment is that that the unit was missing a beach umbrella. We bought one to use for the week.

The best location!

Our family had the most wonderful time! The condo was beautiful, clean, well stocked and they even had drinks chips, fresh guacamole and salsa waiting upon arrival! My husband surfed our front every single day and we were able to watch him from the balcony. Steps to the beach, the pool, and then a short drive to great restaurants...we loved it here and will come back again! Thank you Charlene for everything. :)

Great condo ideal location

This condo is in a great location right on the beach in front of theee surf spots. Zippers , the Rock, and Old Mans. The condo itself is clean and well kept. You are located 5 minutes away from a major grocery store and multiple bars,restaurants, and shopping area. This is my second year renting the same unit and Carlene the owner is great if you have any issues. I highly recommend staying here if you like being right on the beach. I will be back for sure. We Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Family Vacation!

Our family of five was truly blown away by this property and everything about our experience! The condo was clean and spacious with the most gorgeous view, and you can't beat the pool and beach access from the balcony. Or the stunning ocean views! My husband loved surfing every single day, and we loved that we were centrally located to amazing restaurants a quick drive away. They also provided us with a pack n play and high chair for our baby. And the condo is fully equipped with towels, beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, you name it! We had the most wonderful time and can't recommend this place more!!! Thank you, Carlene!!!

Black Mold in Bathroom

Overall condo was nice, good location. There was black mold in one of the bathrooms that was covered up with paper taped to the wall. You could still see the mold around the paper and the ceiling tile. Very concerning health hazard. Should not allow occupants to use a bathroom with mold.

Surf Spot Extraordinaire

We modified our flights to escape an east coast storm and our host Carlene Leier generously agreed to host all 7 of us for one night until we could go to our previously booked hotel (that could not accommodate us early). The photos on the listing very accurately represented the accomodations. The apartment was very comfortable for the 7 of us. What was a pleasant surprise was the outdoor space. I knew it was nice but did not realize how nice! The patio was mere steps from the ocean. The sounds and smell were heaven. The pool gorgeous, the hot tub was great. My husband went to the surf shop next door to rent a board while we ate at Zippers - steps from the condo. We sat on the patio and watched my husband surf. The location is a short drive from the airport and not hard to get to at all. This stay was a home run for us and we are considering returning for a longer visit in the near future.

Amazing Stay Scott B

My wife and I along with two other couples shared this great condo the week of Feb 18th. The condo was clean and updated as advertised with all of the ammenities one would need. The pool area was 30 feet from our large deck and the ocean less than 100 feet away, truely amazing views from the condo. Easy access down to the sandy beach for morning walks and coffee. A short walk along the beach gives you easy access to great restaraunt options. We had less than a 10 minute cab ride into San Jose and 20 minutes to Cabo. Take a whale watching boat out of Cabo spectacular. We checked many options before booking this unit and found it to be the best value in the Cabo area. The owner Carlene was very responsive before we booked and stopped by during our stay to make sure everything was alright and to see if we needed anything. She also helped us book a chef to come into the condo and cook for us one night, lots of fun. We are already picking dates for 2018

Beautiful views and accommodation

While the unit is beautiful and the first-floor location premium, the complex generally is not family friendly. We were traveling with two other families for our children’s spring break (ages 10-17), and we were unpleasantly surprised to encounter the property owners, one of whom approached our minor children and cursed at them and another who insisted on having the entire pool to herself to swim her daily laps! Despite the laid back vibe inherent in San Jose del Cabo, it’s NOT embodied at this condo complex, where rules are abundant, plastered everywhere, and arguably intrusive: new one under the age of 13 in the hot tubs (there are three concentric tubs), no swimming after 8:30, etc. who wants to go on vacation to have 6 floors of curmudgeons on balconies eyeing your every move? Would have appreciated this info prior to our visit. We’ll definitely revisit the city, just not at Los Olas.

Hi Stephen, I am so glad to hear you enjoyed Los Cabos, and in particular you enjoyed my condo. I’m so sorry to hear that you had encounters with some unhappy owners/guests in the complex. Unfortunately, most of the owners in the building are Americans, and they insist on enforcing the “ American Pediatric guidelines “ stating that children under the age of 12 should not be in a hot tub. I myself, being a Non American, and a mother of 4 , do not agree with this rule either but, unfortunately it Is out of my control. I have voted, and lobbied to change it many times, but almost every surrounding complex in San Jose boasts the same rule. Rest assured, I have forwarded your review to the board of Los Olas to review, and bring it to their attention. I own another beautiful penthouse just down the beach at Mykonos - it’s twice the size with a larger beach area. Please reach out to me in the future if you would like to return! Best Surf Location and Unit.

Celebrated our anniversary with two other couples who surf. The condo is nicely appointed and we spent most of our time on the patio enjoying the ocean, view and the easy in and out for surf and swims. Beds and pillows are comfortable and no noise from the highway. Liked that the AC was separate for each room as I don’t like icebox cold like some do and could keep the living areas at a temperature comfortable for going in and out without a drastic difference. Security was great and the grounds and pool are well maintained and it is a chill and quiet property. We didn’t rent a car as we just used the inexpensive Uber service to do a grocery run and out to dinners. Communication was great with Carlene and Omar her manager. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is minor repairs that did NOT impact our stay in any way. Will definitely come back to stay in one of Carlene’s units as it has everything for a relaxing stay in SJDC. Thank you for the wonderful time.

Great family trip

Our family had an amazing time on our trip! The condo was perfect, clean and updated. Carlene, the owner, is friendly, helpful and responsive to any questions. She also put me in touch with Maria, a chef, to come cook a couple nights. Overall, a wonderful location and perfect surf spot. We look forward to staying here in the future!

The owner Carlene responds quickly and is very nice to work with. We have stayed in this condo before about 3 yrs ago and had just as a fabulous time this time. Perfect location and the linens and beds are very comfortable. We can't wait to come back.
