Hi Stephen, I am so glad to hear you enjoyed Los Cabos, and in particular you enjoyed my condo. I’m so sorry to hear that you had encounters with some unhappy owners/guests in the complex. Unfortunately, most of the owners in the building are Americans, and they insist on enforcing the “ American Pediatric guidelines “ stating that children under the age of 12 should not be in a hot tub. I myself, being a Non American, and a mother of 4 , do not agree with this rule either but, unfortunately it Is out of my control. I have voted, and lobbied to change it many times, but almost every surrounding complex in San Jose boasts the same rule. Rest assured, I have forwarded your review to the board of Los Olas to review, and bring it to their attention. I own another beautiful penthouse just down the beach at Mykonos - it’s twice the size with a larger beach area. Please reach out to me in the future if you would like to return! Owners of Las Olas-BEWARE of this renter. They are filthy and damaged the unit. It took hours to clean. The unit was never "double booked" as he claims. The tenants kept requesting to extend their stay because they loved it so much! I warned them they could extend their stay but there was prior bookings I would need to honor. This renters damage deposit of 250 dollars doesn't even begin to cover the mess they left. I referred chefs, and babysitters to this family who wouldn't even return to work for them as they were very unclean. The following is a text message I received from this renter upon check out. "Carlene happy to report your condo is safe but it is definitely been nutty weather down here.. I'm going to start my drive back tomorrow morning. My wife and baby are leaving by plane sat afternoon. Loved our stay and would love to come back again and again thx for eveything.. It would be awesome if you could use one of the nights I paid for our cleaning and the other refunded. I could use all the help I can get have 1 kid just started college and another starting day care when we return:) thx for all your help this summer we had blast !!!! Sorry we didn't get to say goodbye in person all the best. " I put up the shutters to protect them from a hurricane. It was a crazy hurricane season and ended with Hurricane Odile ravishing the area. I also extended an amazing rate to them so they could stay during the storm and complete their dental week in Mexico. It is disappointing as an owner to extend kindness and favors to people and end up with nastiness in return.
