Fishing Rock State Recreation Site is just a few steps away from the house at the west end of Fishing Rock Street. Spot whales close to shore! Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area (where guests can find beach access) is just over a three-and-a-half mile drive south. Depoe Bay is three miles to the south, where guests can find restaurants and more. The Golf Links at Salishan Resort is just under four miles from the home, perfect for guests who bring their golf clubs.

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. I didn’t travel with a pet but one would have loved this house with partial ocean views in a quiet neighborhood! Close to beach access and the sunsets were amazing! Would love to stay here again.

The home is very well maintained. And beautifully decorated. Beds were comfortable. Wonderful location. Only negative comment is that housekeeping must’ve had a bad day. Floors were filthy. My husband spent an hour cleaning them. We had to ask for additional paper towels, dish soap, dish towels, toilet paper. Those were delivered within a few hours. Despite the issues with housekeeping, I would recommend the house. As I said, seemed like it was not the norm. Someone had a bad day.

Loved that there was soap at the sinks and in the showers. Each bedroom had a cozy wall heater just like a cabin.

The house is set up well for multi generational visits. Great location but we couldn’t find walking access to the beach. That would be good information to include at the house. We all enjoyed our vacation. Thanks for the memories!

Clean house. This is our second time staying here. Last time was in 2022. The location is amazing. I do wish they would update the couches and the beds. The couches are very uncomfortable and some of the beds could use an update. Other than that it’s an amazing stay especially for the location.

This house was great - everything was as advertised. Very spacious and cozy at the same time. I do recommend replacing the upstairs tub with a regular walk-in shower. No one in our group wanted to use the tub. I couldn’t find more dish towels? We only had the one. Certainly nothing to complain about. Still gets 5 stars

Nothing short of breathtaking!

Clean home with a beautiful open top floor, ocean view within 3 minutes of walking to the beach ( a very small amount of hiking involved but very close). I cannot stress enough, if you’re looking for a coastal home in Depoe Bay, this is never going to be a bad choice! We had a fantastic time and loved the home!

Family Trip

We have stayed at many places on the Oregon Coast in many different houses over the year’s. This house has to be one of the best. The location is great away from the busy Lincoln City and Depoe Bay but also close enough for a quick trip into either. The beach access is a cool little trail through the wooded area across from the house.The house had plenty of space for everyone to do there own thing. Plus a great gathering space in the kitchen/dining area.I highly recommend this house.

Clean, bright and spacious beach house

This house perfectly suited our needs. Our family of four and our friends, a family of three, and all 3 of our combined dogs, had plenty of space here to spread out, lots of room to eat together and hang out. House was nice and clean and well equipped. We got takeout from Fishing Rock Eatery and Lounge one night and it was awesome! We especially loved stargazing on one clear night on the deck and the path through the trees to the beach. Our guys enjoyed some surf fishing and we all thoroughly enjoyed our 3- day weekend stay. Hope to be back in the near future!!

Family trip to the beach

Decent location, short drive to downtown depoe bay, Newport, and Lincoln city. No issues with the neighborhood. Beautiful home inside and out. A little more attention to detail would take this house from an 8 to a 10. The heat by fireplace only was challenging with a toddler but acceptable. The updates through out the house were tremendous but cheapened a little but the main bath being a walk-in stand up bathtub and the downstairs bathroom was completely updated except the toilet. The owners do go out of their way to make the house feel comfortable and do the extras to make it feel like home, but it seemed like the cleaning crew and/or maintenance has been cutting some corners. The shower curtain was ripped down on both ends and made it hard to keep shut, the floors were dirty when we arrived, the closet door in the downstairs bedroom was off the track when we got there. Overall a great house, great amenities, comfortable, and welcoming. -Andy Oswald
