We had a wonderful stay at Villa Nickelly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We didn’t spend much time inside, but the facilities were excellent and the en-suite room, in particular, was very comfortable and spacious. All of the outdoor areas were lovely and we were spoilt for choice with dining areas. The spot above the pool was very nice, but the table overlooking the mountains was handy for the kitchen. George and his wife were very supportive when we needed some help and advice with a medical problem and George was always just a WhatsApp message away for any questions we had. All in all, one of the best villas we’ve stayed in and a bonus was the two good local tavernas within walking distance.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!

We absolutely loved this place, it is beautiful. A very high standard, quality home. The views and the pool were also stunning. We will definitely be back and we would love George to build us a home just like it! Thank you for having us.

Perfect

We stayed at this villa for two weeks, got back yesterday. We have a baby and a 3 year old and this place was ideal. We weren't overlooked so had plenty privacy but were only a few minutes drive from vasiliki. The pool is wonderful and the decking is shaded so perfect for the children. The upset deck where the BBQ is catches the sun all day so if you're a sun lover you can lounge up there. The inside of the villa is stunning. The attention to detail is wonderful, you get a different feeling from a villa that was built and used as a home than you do from one from a big company. The photos really don't do it justice. He provided a cot and bed rails plus a high chair too. The house is big enough to go with friends in a group too. We didn't need to use the loft area but it was beautiful. George, the owner, is a lovely man. Very helpful and kind, my son thought he was the bees knees. He even brought us homemade cake and eggs and chillis from his mother's garden. All in all we had a perfect break. I'm going to recommend this place to everyone I know.

Lefkada gem

We had amazing time at Villa Nickelly. We spent there two weeks and we loved everything. The house is very large and spacious and well accommodated. What we love the most was beautiful view and outdoor space around. Lovely and well designed garden was perfect for our kids who loved to run around and swimming pool was just perfect size for every member of our family. Not far away from the house is great restaurant with good prices and bakery just 5 min drive. Communication with George was easy and he was very helpful. We would love to come back one day again!

Fantastische vakantiewoning

Villa Nickelly is een fantastische vakantiewoning. Alles was prima in orde, zeer netjes en schoon en uitstekend onderhouden. De villa is fraai gelegen en heeft een mooi uitzicht. De foto's op de website geven de werkelijkheid weer, zo mooi is het dus echt. Het stadje Vassiliki ligt op enkele autominuten afstand. De eigenaar is betrokken en zeer servicegericht, stond altijd voor ons klaar, en informeerde tussentijds of alles in orde was. Halverwege de week werd er nog extra schoongemaakt. Dit is een absolute aanrader, wij hebben een fantastische week gehad.

Oustanding stay & high service

The stay in Villa Nickelly is really outstanding. We stayed for a week with a group of six adults (family & friends) and really enjoyed our stay. The description of the villa is correct and to experience it, is even better! The villa and garden are spacious, well kept and clean. The garden is beautiful, especially when in bloom. The location is very peacefull and quiet and very private. Villa Nickelly is a good base to explore te wonderful beaches of Lefkada (by car). Vasiliki is only a short 10 min. drive and more pleasant than Nidri. George, the owner, really deserves credits. He is a reliable and charming man who gives you a very warm welcome . George is very helpful and always standby for anything you need (just ask...for instance a yoga mat :-)) We would highly recommend this villa!

Outstanding stay at the beautiful villa!

The villa is even better than its photos. Loaded with amenities and everything better than specified. We had a great stay and George was incredibly helpful and gracious with us. We were 8 people all comfortable and immersed in luxury. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone wanting to be near the sea, but still enjoying peace and quiet and an incredible surrounding with the perfect climate. In one word-perfect.

Even better than it looks!

As I said in the title the villa and the location is even better than it looks. We were a group of six persons, three couples around 30 years old with no children. We stayed at this beautiful villa for 11 nights. Let's start with the location which is in the quiet village of Kontarena, 3-4 km from Vasiliki (actually the villa is on a hill above the village and has a stunning view). By the way, before going to Lefkada island, I thought Nydri is the best resort, but after visiting them, Vasiliki is better in all regards (restaurants, pubs, shops). From the villa you can easily reach any beach or destination in Lefkada by car. A car is needed anywhere you'd stay on the island since the tourist attractions are spread all over it. About the villa itself I can only say good things. It is very clean, you have everything you need, including wi-fi, the rooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable. It also has a very big loft with a separate bathroom which is huge. The swimming pool is big enough and very clean (we were also able to jump into the water). There is also a barbecue we used twice that is located somewhere above the pool, on a small terrace with a big table near. Last but least I would also want to say something about the owner, George. He was very kind in making the whole stay very pleasant. He recommended us all the things that need to be visited or done in Lefkada island and even gave us cooking directions since we were struggling with some lobsters. I personally want to thank him again, because if it weren't for him i couldn't have solved a problem with my car. Before choosing Nickelly I almost knew by heart all the villas in Lefkada (I spent a lot of time on homeaway.co.uk) and after beeing there we were confirmed that we made the right choice. Andrei

Amazing stay - full marks all round!!

We only stayed for one week but wish it could have been longer! The villa was absolutely amazing in every aspect - the photos do not do it justice. The owner, George was truly sincere and helpful - he gave us lots of useful advice and information on the local area and the the greek way of life. He also spoke very good english which was good taking into account that we don't speak any greek. Vasiliki is approximately a 10 minute drive and has everything you require from good bakeries, a selection of good tavernas and a supermarket. The island is traditionally greek and has some of the most amazing unspoilt beaches. We would certainly consider returning to this villa. It was also a bonus for the villa to have an modern bathroom drainage system like the ones in the UK - no bins necessary!! Full marks all round!!!

villa nickelly estate 2012

We went in Lefkada's island in july 2012, 4 adults and 3 child. The villa is very confortable, perfect for position (when it's very hot, there it's windy...) and suite perfectly for family. Villa is situated near by Vassiliki village where you can find all you need. Also the best beaches are easy to reach. The owner is very kind and always avaible for any needs. In case of another visit in the island for sure we will choose again this villa.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful villa

We had a great stay in this outstanding villa - George and Anna were a pleasure to meet and were extremley helpful; recommending places to eat and visit. We (adults and kids alike) would all thoroughly recommend this property, island and owners. The villa is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We really enjoyed eating outside with the fabulous views of the mountains. The pool was perfect for our family of teenagers and adults and the garden is pretty and very well maintained. The villa is well situated for local amenities but is rural enough to be quiet and very relaxing, and it's elevated situation often provided a welcome breeze. Definitely a place to return to! Great Holiday at Villa Nickelly

Our party of two families (five kids and four adults) had a lovely time in Villa Nickelly. The villa was perfect for our purpose and the surrounding areas with lovely beaches really met or even exceeded our expectations. The Island of Lefkas and this villa is a prefect place for families with children to spend a memorable vacation. The customer service by the owners was excellent and needless to say that the property was clean and maintained with utmost care. We definitely recommend this place, especially for families with kids.

Villa Nickelly été 2011

Villa très spacieuse, propre, conçue avec goût et agréable à vivre. Jardin bien entretenu et vue superbe sur la montagne. Située idéalement dans un lieu calme, à 3km seulement de la baie de Vassiliki (plage, windsurf, port animé). Excellent accueil des propriétaires, très disponibles et toujours de bon conseil. Belles randonnées en partant de la maison. Nous recommandons fortement cette location.
