Knotty Pine has long been a beloved destination. Under new ownership, this cabin has been thoughtfully elevated! We’ve preserved the rustic charm while adding fresh paint, modern decor, upgraded linens, and new amenities to ensure your stay is stylish and comfortable. Come experience the newly refreshed Knotty Pine!

(Please Note: As much as we absolutely love pets, they are strictly not allowed at the cabin. We appreciate you keeping your furry friends at home!)

The Property

Nestled in the rolling hills of Logan, Ohio, Knotty Pine is a spacious 3BR cabin offering the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. Step inside to soaring wood ceilings and a massive open-concept Great Room—the heart of the home for gathering and recounting the day's adventures.

Outdoor and Indoor Living

Pet Policy: STRICTLY NO PETS ALLOWED under any circumstances due to severe allergies and local wildlife.

Private Hot Tub: Soak under the stars on our secluded back deck.

Fire Pit & Premium Grilling Station: Gather for s'mores and stargazing, and enjoy cookouts on our brand new charcoal Komodo grill (perfect for grilling or smoking!), complete with a custom granite-countertop prep table.

Game Area: High-stakes Foosball and a Nintendo Switch for all ages.

Movie Nights: Sink into the oversized sectional and enjoy the brand new 70-inch Roku Smart TV.

Classic Porch: Enjoy morning coffee in our traditional rocking chairs.

Chef’s Kitchen and Sleeping

Our fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances, a brand new air fryer, and quality tools. We’ve upgraded all bedding for a restful sleep:

Master Suite: King Bed, HDTV, and private en-suite bath.

Perfect place for a family! Beautifully decorated and amenities were nice. Loved the covered front porch. Was able to enjoy that when it rained.

The Perfect Basecamp for a Fantastic Hocking Hills Adventure

The Knotty Pine property was beautiful, felt secluded without being too far from town, was outfitted with all the amenities needed to make our trip comfortable, and had many extras (baby items, toys/games, foosball, basic cooking ingredients, etc.) that made us feel "at home." Hosts were very responsive and helpful before and during the trip. Todd gave great local area suggestions and went above and beyond to make sure our party had everything we needed. We would gladly stay at Knotty Pine again

Very modern, well stocked and exceptionally clean cabin that won't disappoint!

Nice being close to Logan and all that comes with that, and yet a short drive to all the parks. This cabin has to be one of the nicest, cleanest cabins if not the best overall cabin, we've ever stayed in! Nice area out back of cabin that is absolutely private for hot tub and fire pit! We liked that there were other homes on the road and didn't feel as though you were out in the middle of nowhere. Don't hesitate to drive to Vinton County and check out Lake Hope, and the railroad tunnels.

We had a wonderful time staying at Knotty Pine Cabin. It was so clean and the hosts included so many small touches that make it feel so welcoming. We would definitely stay here again when traveling to the area. The hosts were quick to respond when we reached out to them.

We’re Todd and Jessica, and we’re so glad you’re considering a stay at Knotty Pine! Originally from Elida, Ohio, we fell in love with the magic of Hocking Hills years ago. We bought this cabin to build lasting memories with our own family. Because we use and enjoy the home ourselves, we’ve elevated it to a level of comfort and care that we would expect for our own loved ones. We chose this specific neighborhood on Barker Road because it offers the perfect balance. It is tucked away in the quiet, rolling hills for that true getaway feel, yet it’s incredibly accessible. We can be at a local restaurant in downtown Logan within minutes, but once back at the cabin, it feels like we have the woods all to ourselves. For us, the heart of any getaway is spending time with family and friends around a dinner table, sharing food and building community. We believe those relationships are what make life worth enjoying. We became hosts to share this special space where others can escape the daily grind, relax, and create their own lifelong memories. Our goal is to provide a seamless, elevated experience so you can focus on reconnecting!

We chose this specific neighborhood on Barker Road because it offers the perfect balance—it's tucked away in the quiet, rolling hills for that true "getaway" feel, yet it’s incredibly accessible. We love that we can be at the grocery store or a local restaurant in downtown Logan within minutes, but once we're back at the cabin, it feels like we have the woods all to ourselves. The scene here is peaceful and quintessential Hocking Hills. You'll see plenty of wildlife, mature trees, and that beautiful morning mist in the valleys. What we enjoy most is the quiet—there’s something special about sitting on the porch with no sound but the birds and the wind through the pines.

What truly sets Knotty Pine apart is the "owner-lived" touch. Unlike many rentals managed by distant corporations, we use this cabin as our own family retreat. This means we’ve thought of the small things that make a big difference—like high-quality kitchen tools that actually work, reliable high-speed internet, and a "Great Room" layout specifically designed to bring people together. The architectural flow allows for big group laughter in the center of the house, while the private outdoor nooks (like the hot tub deck and the fire pit) offer spaces for quiet reflection. It’s this balance of community and seclusion that makes our space stand out.
