Make yourself at home in this charming 3-bedroom house in The Dalles. The bedrooms feature a king bed, queen bed, full bed, and a cozy bunk bed, perfect for families or groups. With two bathrooms offering both showers and a bathtub, guests can enjoy comfort and convenience. The living room includes a sofa bed, providing extra sleeping space for visitors. All rooms feature smart TV's, and phone chargers.
Stay comfortable year-round with heating and air conditioning throughout the house. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or gathering with loved ones, this beautiful one level home offers a welcoming space to unwind. We hope you enjoy what our place and The Dalles has to offer.

Step through huge sliding glass doors to the deck to a glass fire pit, gas grill and comfy couches.

We had such a wonderful family trip at the Viewpad! The listing said 3 baths when there were only 2 and there was some dog hair from a previous guest but otherwise very clean! It was well stocked, our kids LOVED the game room and the gorgeous view just made all the time there feel really special. We would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at this home situated on a hill overlooking the Columbia River and dam. The field behind the house allowed us to receive a visit from a young buck with velvet still on his antlers as we had our morning coffee, and in the evening, we watched the occasional bat fly by. The kitchen was well-stocked and the sofa and bed very comfortable.

The house was great! Very comfortable and spacious layout. Amazing deck and view! Cozy bedrooms and large kitchen with everything you need to cook. The driveway is tight but works for a small car and there is street parking.

Elaine was so welcoming and helpful. She was wonderful to deal with and so prompt on communication. The house was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed. You cannot beat the view- just phenomenal. Would absolutely stay again!

The host Elaine was very accommodating to any questions and requests. The ViewPad was exceptional! Very clean and comfortable. The coffee and 1/2 and 1/2 was a very appreciated.The view was awesome-especially at night with all the lights lit.The game room was a hit with my granddaughters. I hope to stay there again soon.

Our family of 4 enjoyed this space as a home base for exploring around the Columbia River Gorge area. It was extremely well appointed and has a great view of The Dalles dam from the dining area/patio. The hot tub was a nice touch - just know it is not up on the deck, but on the ground floor. We had two elementary-age kids and they enjoyed playing with the activities in the garage (foosball, darts, etc.) and the toys, etc. The kitchen was very well-equipped. Beds were comfortable. Laundry was easy. The driveway felt a little intimidating but we managed it just fine in a minivan. We'd definitely come back to this spot if we are in the area again! Thank you!

Very pleasant pet-friendly fully equipped home with gorgeous views and nice amenities not typical with most vacation homes, such as a hot tub and game room. Effortless no contact check-in process. We visit The Dalles multiple times a year to visit family and have already rebooked for Thanksgiving!

Very clean and comfortable house. Pretty awesome view of the dam, river, and town in general. Loved the deck and probably would have spent more time there if it wasn't so hot when we visited. The large kitchen and open living/dining area made it perfect for a family get together (9 of us there having dinner and brunch), which was why we booked this bnb to begin with, along with the fact that it is pet friendly. Our dog is our child and travels with us, so we only stay at pet friendly locations. The dining table is really cool, a single slab "live edge" custom design, big enough for 8 people (or 9 in our case) to comfortably eat together. This house was perfect for what we wanted it for, a together with family for lunch and dinner and hang out and socialize. Our only complaint if there was one, is the "game room". The game room is located within the garage, and unlike the rest of the house, has no air-conditioning. We really had no interest in using the game room, so it really didn't matter to us. I would also advise others that the game room is more of a kid's gameroom to begin with. The pool table and ping pong table are mini or kid's versions, not regular size.The only other 2 things I would mention, there is no yard to speak of, meaning grass lawn (if that's something someone needs), and the road to get to the house itself is pretty steep which is fine if there's no snow or ice, otherwise would be sketchy.4/5 stars will stay again!

I'm a Northwest girl born and bred!
I work in a winery, bake sourdough bread, and say I feel naked without a good book. My husband turns wood, plays bass and sells real estate.
We love to waterski on the Columbia and snow ski on Mt. Hood. Our daughter is in NYC, and his kids/grandkids are all nearby.
We traded our Oregon coast home for this getaway in The Dalles to be closer to our family/friends in Hood River. We love staying at our panoramic "ViewPad", and exploring all the gorge offers.

This quiet east side of The Dalles has views to die for! We absolutely love watching the river traffic coming through the locks. The neighbors are super friendly, but very quiet. The street funnels down to a sweet one lane road a block east of us, and you can take all sorts of lovely country walks among the orchards and rural homes.
The hot tub is a real respite from the world - tucked under the deck and with the cover open, it feels like a private experience. You can keep your eyes on the river or the sky.
And there are so many sunny days in The Dalles - over 300 a year!

The minute we walked in this house, we were sold on the view. It's wonderful to be just a short drive away from our home in Hood River and feel like we are in a whole new area. The hills and sky are spectacular from this ridge top paradise.
We love exploring the historic buildings and murals in The Dalles, walking the streets and taking advantage of the free downtown parking! The home features a wonderful piece of artwork titled, "All Around The Dalles".

There are wineries, hikes and fun brewpubs to explore in this part of the Gorge.
And when we come back to The ViewPad, the couch is crazy comfy. We love hosting friends in the convivial atmosphere of the great room. We immediately added swivel bar stools - and my husband crafted a live edge dining table with seating for eight.
