We enjoyed our stayed, excellent communication with the host, it was clean, location was amazing! Beautiful cabin. I gave it 4 start because the TV are very old and had lots of statics. The fireplace in the pool area never worked. The main issue we had is that the sofa bed is on the entry level right in front of tbe main entrance, it will be better in the lower floor closer to the bathroom it was uncomfortable to sleep in front of the entrance and lastly there is not enough sitting place to be all together.

A Great, Peaceful Weekend

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I really enjoyed our weekend in the cabin and area - it was close enough to Gatlinburg to go out and do the touristy things, but then come back and enjoy a peaceful night. The cabin was what we needed and accurately described in the description when making our reservation. There were a few small things that I think can be fixed or addressed; the handle in the hot tub was broken (not a big deal but I guess could be a safety issue for some) and a coffee maker was provided, but no filters. I might have missed this detail when making the reservation and isn't a huge deal, we went to a small coffee shop down the hill and they gave us a few filters. There was a random magazine about South Carolina on the coffee table; we would have loved a magazine or information on the local area highlighting some of the fun things to do for visitors unfamiliar with the area. These are all very small complaints and we will definitely plan another trip and use Elk Springs Resort again.

Cabin a bit dated and management needs some improvement

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We planned a very last minute and very trip to Gatlinburg and opted to stay with Elk Springs as we had a previous good experience. This stay didn’t live up to my previous experience. Prior to booking, I emailed the property management company and asked if they had a property close to downtown and preferably within trolley route. I was told there was a trolley stop “two minutes away”. Well, I don’t know if time is slower in Gatlinburg but the closest trolley stop was definitely much farther. During my stay, I texted the property management company to ask about the trolley because we were having some difficulty finding it and was told “google it”. Rude, but okay...The cabin itself was definitely dated but fine for what it is. The soaker tub was really difficult to get in and out of as the bruise on my leg would suggest. All in, I probably wouldn’t stay with Elk Springs again as there are many other options and I can probably find better customer service and hospitality elsewhere.

We loved having the pool table and hot tub but as mentioned in other reviews there was not enough seating options for our family of six to even watch tv together. We might try another cabin within the resort next time.

Cute house and good location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is what it shows and it is a good location. It is in the woods but not too far away from the main strip. The master bed was very comfortable. A few things to address: The ice maker and water in the fridge was barely working. The comforters needed to be washed (or washed better), there was not enough water in the hot tub so we couldn’t really use it since the hose was not there, under the beds needed to be cleaned and there was only one roll of toilet paper. We had to go out and buy some.

Had everything we needed for cooking, conveniently neat all the shops and Dollywood. After enjoying our long walks outside enjoying the view we came back to relax in the jacuzzi it was amazing.

There was still a towel in that bathtub, it was there when we arranged. We did have an issue with the bigger size of black ants, I got a couple bites. That was in the bathroom and bedroom. Did report that along with the plumbing. Overall we still had a great time.

The rain shower was the favorite amenity. And we loved the back view and the hot tub under the stars. The only drawback was the lack of dresser space in the master bedroom - living out of our suitcases a little more than we prefer. Additionally, I swept most of the outdoor spider webs from the front of the cabin (except of the two currently occupied.) One last maintenance note - the bottom shelf of the freezer was not attached.

You are in the middle of "Nowhere" and at the same time, you are a short drive away from downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The perfect amount of space for a family of five. I have already recommended Elk Springs Resort to several friends. One of them has already booked their trip for June. Another one is planning a trip for July. This is my second stay and I plan to return soon.

The cabin could use some updates, floor vents upstairs are pretty dirty. There was still hair in the drain of the shower which I cleaned.
