This countryside room enjoys a peaceful setting, surrounded by fields and meadows. The 40-square-meter living area is furnished with a king-size bed, a comfortable seating area, a desk, and a small dining area with a mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and tea kettle. There is no traditional kitchen, but used dishes are washed daily since there are no facilities for washing dishes. In the spacious, tastefully furnished wellness area—approximately 20 m² in size—you’ll find a comfort shower and an extravagant wash area. A sauna is available for a fee. The accommodations are an ideal starting point for idyllic walks or bike rides along the river in the Schwarzach Valley. Bicycles are available at the property. The Ludwig Canal, completed in 1846, is particularly well-preserved in the greater Burgthann area; during the summer months, you can take a towboat ride on one of the historic cargo barges, which are pulled by a horse. At Burgthann Castle, just a few minutes’ walk away—which houses a museum and medieval exhibits—several events take place throughout the year, including the “FestSpiel”—now known beyond the region—reenacting the capture of the infamous knight “Eppelein von Gailingen,” who was imprisoned here after his arrest. The town center is approximately 600 meters from the accommodation. Just a few minutes’ walk from the accommodation, you’ll find several traditional restaurants serving traditional Franconian and international dishes. The accommodations are approximately 30 km from Nuremberg’s Albrecht Dürer Airport, and you can reach downtown Nuremberg in 19 minutes by train, which departs every 30 minutes. The drive to the Nuremberg Exhibition Center takes about 15 minutes by car.
